The reserve is 1,750 acres and named after the Torrey Pine trees, which dot the coastal wilderness and hiking trails. There are 8 miles of hiking trails total.
There are also walking trails in the village so you can explore the cute beach town you now call home. Keep an eye on the sea, though, and you might catch sight of a pod of Bottlenose Dolphins, or some Gray Whales!

You will see everything from sharks and lobsters, to turtles and crabs. Pet a sea star in their touch pool. Watch the daily feedings and sea life interactions. The Giant Kelp Forest is a two-story tall exhibit that showcases the forests throughout southern California. Look for the bright orange Garibaldi fish and marvel at the endangered giant black seabass.
