Hale O' Waikoloa (House of Waikoloa) is in a quiet neighborhood of Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii. Waikoloa Village is a small community of houses, condos and townhouses situated at the one thousand foot elevation, high above the luxury resort hotels which spread along the shoreline six miles below.
This 2,000 square feet vacation house is built of solid cedar "timbers" which are 4" thick, and the entire interior and exterior are clear-stained to highlight the beauty of the color and pattern of the wood. Central Air Conditioning keeps this three bedrooms, 2.5 bath home. Two bedrooms have queen beds, and one which has two twin beds; a room adjacent to the kitchen has a daybed and can serve as a fourth bedroom. In addition to the master bathroom, there are a full bathroom and a half-bathroom. The open beam design and fifteen-foot living room ceiling provide an expansive and airy effect. There are many windows oriented to the northwest for views of the ocean and the Kohala mountain.
The furniture is mainly Scandinavian and the many paintings and art objects are primarily from Asia and Europe; of note are a porcelain figurine of a ballet dancer from Moscow, Russia, and an intricate horse-drawn carriage figurine from Vienna, Austria.
The 400 square feet covered lanai opens to views of the ocean and the beautiful Kohala mountain. Views of sunsets from this vantage point are truly enchanting and magical!
Some of the best beaches in Hawaii are a short drive away, such as Hapuna Beach, Mauna Kea Beach and Anaehoomalu Bay (A-Bay); beach supplies like hats, towels, chairs, sunscreen, boogie boards, coolers, etc. are stored in a hall closet, and available for use by guests.
Waikoloa Village has an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones, Jr.-designed golf course, where guests receive a discounted green fee. Other top-notch golf courses at most of the resort hotels are a short 10 miles away.
A shopping center in Waikoloa Village has a full-service market, bank, gas station, restaurants, medical office, and a variety of shops.
Hale O' Waikoloa is ideally located to serve as your home base to visit the many beaches and natural wonders on the Big Island, including Volcano National Park and Mauna Kea Observatory.
A $500.00 REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED FOR EVERY RESERVATION.

Nearby Activities in Waikoloa
When you rent a beach house or condo in Waikoloa, located on the west side of Hawaii's Big Island, you can enjoy tropical weather year-round and there will always be plenty of ways to explore the area. The best time of year to book an oceanfront home is from late May to early October, particularly for warm weather activities. Waikoloa is primarily a resort destination but has one fun fact that makes it genuinely Hawaiian; the village was built on top of a lava field! A towering volcano sits just 30 miles from the village, called Mauna Kea. While the volcano is currently dormant, its eruptions created a path to the ocean.
Things To Do in Waikoloa
Most Fun Things to Do in Waikoloa: Visit the Unique 49 Black Sand Beach - Unlike many other beaches in the area, 49 Black Sand Beach is true to its name with black sand covering its shores, a result of fine grains of lava. This provides a stark contrast to the clear blue water. When the ocean is calm, go snorkeling and take a look at tropical fish, tidepools, and underwater rock formations.
