Welcome to A Salty Dog! Recently updated 2 story beach home offering close to 3,000 square feet of space to ensure maximum relaxation for you and the entire family! Head to the backyard and splash around in the beautiful in-ground pool (Open based on weather May-September). Outdoor shower for washing off after a long day at the beach. Cook up a delicious meal using the outside grill!
1st story: 4 spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths, one of two living areas with bar and futon, and an entry way to the backyard and pool.
2nd story: Stunning kitchen with updated stainless-steel appliances and beautiful hardwood floors, a sunroom which has a TV and separate door to the deck with access to the fully fenced in yard and a dog door! 3 more bedrooms are located on this second story as well as the main living area.
Just a 2-minute walk down the beach path to Sandbridge beach, offering beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset. Easy access to a fun day in the sun!

"Love the space, Hate the lack of cleanliness
The home wasn't clean and also a health risk for us all. We purchased cans of Lysol and Clorox wipes to attempt to clean the bathrooms and kitchen. There were several areas of concern that prompted me, my family and friends decision to leave early, that includes:
*Unable to enter the property
-due to access code invalid
(had to contact maintenance, was given several codes to potentially use)
-the door had to be held/pulled closely to unlock and lock the property
*Sliding patio doors were unable to lock properly.
*Toilet and shower in master upstairs bedroom needed repair (shower had a large drip that splattered on the floor and toilet handle would allow flushing)
*Bathroom and kitchen were dirty and unclean.
* Bathroom drains, especially in the upstairs hallway bathroom, didn't drain properly (sitting water)
*Codwebs throughout the home and in every room.
*Bed linen was unclean with stains.
*All televisions in the rooms were not working and there weren't any televisions in all of the rooms.
*The flooring was unleveled.

I have attached pictures taken October 11, 2024 of those concerns. There will be an additional email with more pictures, unable to attach them all to this email.

There were some positive aspects about the home, like space, the deck patios and the pool was clean, even though we didn't use it. The place could benefit from being updated for a more home-like and clean experience."

"The Salty Dog
This property had 6 bedrooms and 3-4 bathrooms. we only stayed upstairs because the downstairs was thick with damp air. We had numerous issues there which i am trying to forget but 1. (a functional??) dishwasher with a tampered start button so we could not get it to work. The Realty Co did send someone to replace it and it took him a good 2 hours in the middle of a rainy day...not something we wanted to deal with on this vacation. 2. A ceiling tile fell down during the stay depositing all sorts of debris on our belongings. The Co fixed it and then it fell again the next day! 3. The property was really very dirty. i pulled out tons of hair in the only shower we used because the bathrooms were pretty gross. I cannot recommend the property in all fairness in spite of the effort the Real Estate Co made to address our concerns. "

"NOT AS ADVERTISED
The rear door upstairs leading to the deck no longer shuts. The plate is loose and the screw sticks out so far you cannot latch the door. This is a huge safety and security issue and should be addressed ASAP.

The carpet on the main stairs inside is no longer adhered to the steps and we had several falls and near falls as a result. This is a huge hazard and should be addressed immediately.

The gas grill is also in very poor shape, it needs to be fixed or replaced.

The laundry in the downstairs bathroom needs attention. Whenever we ran laundry, we could start to smell sewage. It was extremely unpleasant and even with the fan running it was difficult to use that bathroom when laundry was being done. We avoided doing laundry as a result which was quite an inconvenience.

Upstairs, the bed in the green bedroom (if looking down the hallway, with bathroom on the right, the bedroom on the right) has a broken bed frame. When we arrived the bed was completely crooked. The bottom right leg was completely collapsed. We removed the wheels and left them under the bed so it would at least be on a flat slope rather than an angle. This needs to be replaced. We had a small child use this bed but would be a hazard for an adult.

The shower in the upstairs master bathroom is in poor condition. The shower head needs replacing and water flow was weak at best. We ended up using other bathrooms for showers.

Dishwasher worked but the start button is missing so it was tricky to get going each time.

Overall, we felt the house was not as advertised. It is in far worse condition than the listing photos/video show."

"Great location but Property needs Improvements
I rented this house for my family for a first time stay in Sandbridge. The location of this house is perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The pool was fantastic - very nice addition from coming off the beach into the pool. They had a nice amount of chairs around the pool.
However, the house is in need of many repairs. The kitchen table size was perfect, however, they put a old vinyl table cover on the table in very poor shape. It was dirty and gross. The upper level bedroom with the shower bathroom was despicable. The shower was the worst shower I have ever been in. Water pressure at zero, barely coming out of the shower head. Very old condition. Needs upgrade desperately. The third bedroom upper level bed was clearly tilted. It was incredible that they could think someone could sleep on this bed. The slope was clearly visable. The lower level bathrooms continue to have an odor of a sewage scent. The outdoor grill did not work at all. It was not because of propane. The grill was damaged.
The house was not clean. Looking under couches discovered a large amount of dirt and toys from past renters. I am guessing that when the cleaners clean, they never move a couch to vacuum.
Just overall rating of this property was a D. For the amount of money I paid for this week, I expected much more. Sadly disappointed."
