Seacrest Beach - Beach Information - Fun Things to Do - Tips

Seacrest Beach, Florida If you are looking for a quiet beach community to live in, whether permanently or for only a few weeks, then this hidden gem is a perfect fit. At Seacrest Beach, an unincorporated community along Scenic Highway 30A in the Florida Panhandle, you will be off the beaten path, which is ideal for relaxing at the shore.
Dolphins in oceanAlthough Seacrest Beach is part of the South Walton system of beaches, there is very little commercial development in this particular town-the easygoing nature of this beach community has been preserved. All your favorite beach activities will be just steps from your Seacrest Beach beach house, including swimming, kayaking, and fishing. You'll love the balmy Florida weather and the fine white sands found at these Gulf Coast beach houses. The high dunes at Seacrest Beach create a unique landscape, and from their crests you can see beautiful panoramic views of the water; you may even catch sight of dolphins playing in the waves. Another fun way to explore the scenery around your Seacrest Beach beach house is by bike. You can rent bikes for adults and kids, including bike trailers, from Peddler's Bike Shop to ride along Scenic Highway 30A.
Bike Riding on the Beach
Nearby attractions round out your Florida beach house experience: Camp Creek Lake has a coastal dune landscape with opportunities for birdwatching and hiking, and the Camp Creek Golf Club offers an 18-hole private course designed by Tom Fazio that showcases the area's wetlands and pine forests in all their natural splendor. Point Washington State Forrest is just to the east of Seacrest Beach beach houses, and this park system is replete with trails for hiking, biking, and even walking your dog. As you explore the 10 natural communities and ecosystems in this 15,400-acre forest, you'll see endangered animal and plant species, like the American kestrel, the goopher tortoise, and the white-topped pitcher plant. You can also hunt and fish in this forest; seasons, regulations, and limits are set by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
If you want the South Walton beach experience in a less-developed community, choose a Seacrest Beach beach house.
