This cancellation policy will indefinitely apply to the original stay dates. If you would like to move your stay dates, we will only move the stay dates one time.

5) The 50% refund is 50% of the entire amount paid including all fees and taxes.

"Would not stay again
The location was great, but property had no curb appeal. There was rotting wood on all outdoor surfaces including deck, hand rail, and around all windows. There was also approximately 40 trash bags as we pulled in and remained the whole time we were there. I assume it had pine needles, but did not confirm. The beds may have been the worst part. We had a range of sizes of people stay from a young teen to adults. All the beds were too hard to get comfortable in, and a couple of them were at least 20 years old (I am being generous). The kitchen was nice, as was the layout, but everything was just a little grungy (including the fans and humidifiers left for us). There was cobwebs everywhere, and there was rust and mildew in showers. The large and heavy table was also a hazard, because the legs did not have all the screws and it nearly fell on us several times. I wish I could summit photos, because I documented it everything. Our family was very dissatisfied."

"Spacious Mountain Cabin
It was our first time visiting South Lake Tahoe and the location of the rental helped us maximize our time in town. We explored Heavenly village, gambled at the casinos, rented a boat for a day on the lake, grilled some food, soaked in the hot tub and created some great memories. The cabin was plenty big enough to accommodate or group, it had all the amenities we needed, it was very clean, and check in was easy. "

"Cozy inside, not so much outside
The property is in a wonderful location. Pretty much as described. When we arrived a few of the beds had brown stains on the top sheets which were very off putting. The hot tub is on the deck in the front yard so you don't get much privacy, we had the next door neighbor watching us every time we wanted to use it. It also does not get very hot, lukewarm at best. And we had an issue with the dishwasher not working, the compartment where you insert soap was broken and would not close. So we were forced to wash all dishes by hand. I let the owner know in hopes of getting some sort of compensation for the $300 cleaning fee (which is included in the rental price) and he told me he would give me nothing because his mechanic told him there is nothing wrong with it. It did not work when we tried using it and other reviews say the same. He tried to say it was user error which I found pretty insulting. Why would I hand wash dishes if the dishwasher was working? Happy New Year if you're reading this sir, be better. If you plan on just staying inside for your stay the place is pretty cozy and great."

"Spacious Mountain Cabin in South Lake Tahoe
This was a really great house for what we needed. We did see upon arriving the house hadn’t been cleaned very well, there were dead flys and ants, spider webs and broken glasses in the cabinets. One of the beds had sand in it from who knows when. Luckily there were lots of other beds for people to sleep in. Overall the house was great, minus the cleaning upon arrival. Would stay here again! "

"House was ok. Convenient location
The house was very close to South Lake Tahoe and lots of activities. The kitchen was fairly nice, but the rest of the house could use some updates. Definitely was an older home in need of some love but overall the stay was comfortable. The beds were surprisingly very comfortable. There was lots of space for a large family or group to gather. The hot tub was nice but did not get very hot. There is no AC and only 2 fans available. I would recommend to the owner that additional fans be provided during the summer. The property management company was not responsive when I reached out for questions about checking in."

Place was great, clean and nearby everything."

"Good place
Great place. No issues with the property. Just a bit old."
May 31, 2023 - , San Jose, CA

"Lots of space!
The house was clean, plenty of towels all very nicely folded on the beds, with lots of space for our group. Beds were comfortable and overall a decent place to stay. There were missing screens on some windows which made it challenging to cool off the house without letting bugs in, and a few repairs needed (kitchen faucet super loose and the soap holder in the dishwasher broken). We could have used a broom and dust pan when a glass coyote broke in the kitchen but overall it was a very nice stay. "
Aug 16, 2022 - Catherine B., Eugene, OR

"Weekend trip
Stay was great, bigger than expected. Great description all around. Hot tub was on and hot when we got there so that was nice. Pool table was full size (looked a bit smaller in the pic). I had a couple questions the day before check-in. They were super responsive.

10/10 would recommend!"

"Tahoe House
This house is in a great location! The layout of the house is great too. The management company was great as well.
However it was not the cleanest. The blinds need cleaning & our feet were very dirty after walking around the house barefoot. The pots & pans needed cleaning before we could use them and the oven needs cleaning. There weren’t any dish towels in the kitchen or a kitchen garbage can. No soap in the bathrooms. Like I said this house is in a great location and we had a great time. Just needs a deep cleaning."

"Nice overall
Good location, very clean, had everything as far as utensils, coffee maker, etc. but could use some TLC. Broken step, very rough hand railing (slivers), new deck railing not attached to house and vey loose there. But good overall"
Jul 17, 2022 - Culley C., Santa Rosa, CA

"Disappointing
The location was great. First impression was not good, stair hand rail leading to house was in need of repair, with several of us getting slivers. Porch was dirty as were the chairs, which was not a good first impression. Fireplace did not work. Main toilet did not flush properly and when I called for assistance I was shocked by the horrible customer service I received. A plumber was sent out and it was fixed. Blinds throughout the house were either broken, dirty or did not work properly. A very disappointing experience. "

"Quiet, good size home on stateline
We loved this home! Very spacious and in a great location. 30 minutes to Emerald Bay, and just minutes to the Zephyr Cove beaches. Heavenly Ski Resort is right down the road. The hot tub was so nice after a day of hiking. The kitchen had all appliances and utensils we needed. Only negative was a broken blender, and the shared hall bathroom has a slow toilet. There’s a fireplace that works well, and the beds are very comfortable! We would definitely stay again."

"Good for the money with a caution
Good things first. Warm, nice beds, comfy, location next perfect for Tahoe access.

Downside was some little things.Gas Fireplace did not work, no instructions had to buy batteries and still could not get it going. Had to buy a can opener. Maids seem to have left it in great condition, it was clean. TV seems to be a collection of pay sites so bring your Netflix and Amazon, etc passwords. I don't watch much anyway.Kitchen was fine just seemed like a bunch of gear thrown together. The impression was that this was a rental. Did not see the love of place you see in some rental homes, in the decor or the maintenance. Just minimal to keep it rented. Just saying. The worse thing though, as a builder my self, were some of the more dangerous thinks. House was remodeled at least once and lighting and electric not relocated well. Light to the basement is a trick, light on the porch is fine but no accessible or working light over the driveway and the stair case. On an icy night that is a problem. Then there were some tile steps down to the living room. 3 steps but if you fall, hard sharp edges and no handrail to assist. Wet shoes, socks, half asleep or too many beers someone is going to get hurt bad. That item is why I responded. At a minimum some kind of railing before someone gets hurt. All in all, for the money, it was fine. My two cents, since you asked. "

"Tahoe house
It was a funky (has a weird lay out) but nice and spacious. The furniture is a little worn and dated. Has a beautiful and modern kitchen, lovely deck with a good hot tub. The bedrooms and bathrooms are dark and need updating with newer fixtures I.e doors are thin and knobs on bedroom doors are cheap and don’t lock. Showers are a bit funky and look like one of those companies came in and put a modular shower over the original existing one. I’m a clean freak so I noticed the showers having some mildew in the cracks and wear and tear in the plastic. The property company was great and very responsive. The house was very clean. We had a great time."

"Great Stateline Property
Our cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. Although not right next to south lake, it is only a 5-10 minute drive to the casinos, heavenly gondola, Safeway, and even to Zephyr Cove! The house is a slightly strange layout at first glance but was actually perfect for us! It is nice to have the loft area and separate living room but you can still hear/talk to people from the kitchen as it is a linear layout. The furniture/appliances are definitely not brand new but everything worked and there were plenty of kitchen tools and appliances, and we used the washer/dryer a few times. The hot tub and front porch were lovely and it was really nice to be able to pull in 2 cars into the garage. We would definitely stay here again!"

"Great spot for fun in the sun
Needed a last minute get away and found this house. Located right next to South Tahoe so it was easy to get to anything we wanted to do and there is plenty to do in/around the house as well. Going out sledding with the kids during the day and then relaxing in the hot tub after while they played pool was great."

"Relaxing Family Weekend
Simply amazing! we booked a last minute stay for a weekend and we could not be happier.
The house was spotless clean; kitchen was equipped with the basics +more; bedrooms were really spacious and comfy; dining table big enough for 10 people; living room big enough for kids to play; playroom (upstairs) with great pool table and television great for a hangout spot; hot-tup was great, period! the only thing is the rails on the stairs are a wide enough for a kid to fall though if not careful, but parents should be watching their kids!
Overall, love, love, love! Definitely keeping this property on our list for next time =) "

Nice rental, multiple beds, nice location.. had nice time with my family... just little minor details like dishwasher, and refrigerator. But overall do
Recommend this rental. "

"Great Location, Not well kept
This home was fine, but not very clean. It seemed like the cleaners did a very basic clean before we came. The house smelt like a backed up toilet. There were not screens on the door or windows (other than the rooms) to air it out. There was cake batter splattered all over the cabinets and shades in the kitchen. There was still wet towels in the washer. Floor was not swept. There deck was not swept either (not the biggest deal but we found cigarette butts and beer caps left over on it). The carpet looked like it had not been cleaned in a very long time. The pool table was nice to have, but in bad condition. We had a great stay but I feel people should know what they're coming into. Everything, including the hot tub (which was very clean) worked. A few light bulbs were out but most of them were fine."

"Had an amazing time at this beautiful home
I spent the weekend at this home, and it was absolutely wonderful! The house has a great location, near stores, and beautiful beaches. I loved my stay! Highly recommend "

"Tahoe Vacay @ Pine Dr.
This house definitely needs some much needed TLC. The kitchen is updated and nice. Shower heads in both bathrooms need to be fixed; they shot a straight shot of water with hard pressure. Hot water faucet in the guest bathroom did not turn off, was loose. House is hot, no AC, opened windows, no screens on most windows. Left them open for less than 5 mins to air out hot house and middle bedroom was full of Beatles. First night, fridge froze ALL our food. However, hot tub was amazing. This property could be a beautiful property, needs someone to show the place some love. "

"Very nice place!
This was a great rental. Kitchen was great and most of the ementies were awesome. There were only two issues, one the WiFi was not very good. There was no instructions to logon and the router was very old which may have contributed to the issues. Two, needed more information on the trash and where it was go. Oh some of the chairs on the front porch needs to be replaced they were broken when we arrived. Overall the beds were great the, the hot tub was fantastic and our stay was great in Tahoe."
Jun 18, 2020 - Jason Young R., Emeryville

"Great Weekend Get Away!
Upon arrival the house was extremely clean and very well stocked! The house is gorgeous and had so much room for my family to have fun game nights, play pool up in the loft or just relax and watch a movie. We had a great time cooking together in the huge kitchen! The kitchen comes stocked with all the dishes and pots and pans you will need. My only “gripe” is some of the beds are really hard. They need a mattress topper to be comfortable. It wasn’t a huge deal but that’s the only negative I found. I’ll definitely be back soon! Oh by the way the hot tub does not disappoint! "

"Decent At best
The "Spacious Mountain Cabin" was definingly "spacious" but the over all finish-outs, furnishings and accommodations are "par" at best. The bathrooms were outdated, the kitchen wasn't furnished well, the refrigerator doesn't work well. I could keep going but it needs work! "

"Nice house, great neighborhood and location
Overall, we had a very nice stay. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of pots, pans, utensils- which we appreciated because we cooked often during the stay. The only thing that was frustrating was the refrigerator door/shelf was broken and every time we opened it, items fell out onto the floor. "

Perfect for the weekend we were there. Everything is very close. Love the lay out of the place and has plenty of cookware if you want to have a home cooked meal."

"Property Location is amazing but surely need some update
We were three families travelling together with elderly person with us. We reached the property on 25th Christmas day and found that the garage is not accessible. The door knob was really in need of replacement and got locked from inside. Thus we all struggled to get the elderly member came up using stairs which was slippery due to snow. But since it was Christmas and we don't wanted the caretaker to spoil the family time asked them to take care of it next day. Next day the maintenance guy came and said he need to order the part replacement and left. Same Next day the dishwasher started leaking water and we ended up cleaning the whole kitchen. Two much in two days of stay. The day when we checked in we saw a hole in a wall near steps to the loft and informed the property manager. We also sent the flooded dishwasher pics to them. Now they have not returned our deposit amount so far and waiting for it. overall not a good experience and will not recommend to friends. "

"Everything you need is in this home
We had stayed at this house with 2 other families. When we pulled into the driveway, we were amazed at how big this house was. We loved the layout of the home as the kids could do their own thing either playing video games or hanging out in the loft area, while the adults were preparing meals or playing dominos and card games around the kitchen table. We all had such an amazing time at this home. It was very close to the casinos, grocery stores, sledding park, etc. When we return next year, we definately would like to stay here again. The property manager, Jeren, was also very accommodating with our early check in/late check out requests. We ended up extending our trip an extra night, and lucky for us, there was no one booked so we got to stay put. The only issue we had was the WiFi on the first day. The connection was ify, but after that it worked fine. Also, the reception for T-Moblie and AT&T customers wasn't great inside the home. Overall i would recommend this home, and we would stay here again."

"Great house for ski vacation
The house was a perfect fit for a family of 6. 2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids. The game room with definitely a hit with the kids, we spent a few nights around the pool table. The kitchen pans could use an update but otherwise the kitchen met our needs. We did not use the hot tub as it was too cold for it in December but did use the wood burning stove which added a nice touch to our dinners. The only thing that did not work was the vacuum cleaner - wanted to vacuum one day but could not. Overall recommend this property."

"Clean, updated and great location.
I have lots of good things to say about this rental, and only one con. For us, it was a big one, but it just depends on your party. We were a party of 8, but that included 4 small children. I have to say, if you have toddlers with you (or crawlers)...find another rental!! It was like a death trap for the kids. 4 sets of stairs (including a hard/sharp tile stairway with no railing), a loft with widely spaced banisters, and very wide open doorways that even extra wide baby gates don't span. We had 3 baby gates with us, and had to get very creative trying to create a safe space. Even so, it was an exhausting trip because we always had to be "on" as we weren't able to block off 1 safe room for the kids to play in. It is always a challenge with little ones but the layout of this particular house was a nightmare for us.
That being said, I would definitely stay here again (on an adult only trip or when kids are bigger)! It was clean, beautifully updated, well stocked kitchen, and the location was great. "

"161 Pine St
The weekend was great. The cabin was a little disappointing. "

"Great Stay
Very clean and comfortable. The layout of the home is a little different. I'm not sure I would like to live there on a full time basis but it worked very nicely for my family. Everything was great. The noise from the highway was the only thing that was distracting but that was only when you are outside. I would recommend this place to anyone. The location is close and convenient. I would rent this place again."

"Family Gathering Spot

"Great Trip
Good location if you are skiing and wanting to be close to town. The house was a good fit for our group, plenty of beds for a 3 bedroom home. Having the garage was nice, hot tub was great, large kitchen, and house was clean. "
Feb 07, 2017 - , daly city, CALIFORNIA

"Great location!
Everything we expected! I would definitely stay here again. There were only 7 of us so there was plenty of space. Quick drive to the casinos (which is what we came for). My only complaints would be the lack of mirrors to get ready and there are no ceiling fans or A/C so the house got a bit hot inside. Otherwise, everything was perfect."
Aug 02, 2016 - Steven M., San Francisco, California

"Satisfied but.....
The rental home was clean , it would have been nice to have tv's in the bedrooms and the pool table was warped also the hot tub never got hot enough to enjoy. No mountain view as described. The beds were very uncomfortable and small "
Apr 05, 2016 - Freddy U., Oakland, Ca

"Great Location

"Great place
The place was very nice and spacious. Plenty of beds and an interesting layout. The pool table is in a weird place and isn't very level, but provided some fun.

One of the showers didn't drain very well and we were only there 2 nights so we all had to use one shower. I called to request someone to fix the drain but they didn't come while we were there."

It was perfect! "
Jul 28, 2015 - Jennifer N., Turlock , CA

"Great location!
The house was clean and well furnished. We felt the floor plan was well laid out to give everyone a comfortable area to spend time.
If you have little ones make sure you watch them on the top floor where the pool table is. Our little ones could fit their heads through the 2nd floor banister looking down onto the tile steps. We took the collapsible crib from the closet and placed it in front of the banister to prevent our curious kids from poking their heads through. If the home owner or manager are taking input perhaps a plexiglass could prevent some future mishaps. A dust pan is needed in the kitchen as well. We had a wonderful time and we would definitely rent this home again!"
Jul 02, 2015 - , Jackson, CA

"Clean & Convenient Place
This place is pretty much how I expected it would be from the pictures posted on this site. We had an all girls trip planned and 8 of us ended up staying two nights here. The location was great. It was only a couple minute drive to the casinos/night life, but secluded enough that we had enough privacy/peace and quiet when we were back at the house. The driveway was not as large as I thought, but we only had 3 cars, so they all fit perfectly. I would recommend this property to friends for an event like we had. Very clean place, nice kitchen and pretty view!"
May 05, 2015 - , Fairfield, CA

"Nice place overall
We had a nice stay during the winter time.
Pros:
- Hot tub very nice and clean
- House overall pretty clean and well stocked on towels, bedding etc.
- Response by management firm quickly when we had an issue
- Big enough to have dinner with 10 people
- Just a quick drive to the slopes

Cons:
- Kitchen not super well stocked (no can opener, cutting boards or lids for some of the pots for example).
- Heater is not suited for the size of the house. Was cold and we *had* to turn on the fireplace
- Pool table is nice - but lighting is super dark there. Was tough to enjoy a game at night.

Kitchen and heater were the main issues for us as we cooked at the house and were hanging out. It was hot in some of the bedrooms and cold in the others. No cutting boards and can opener - those are just basics. We went to the neighbors to borrow.

Overall a nice house for a decent size group of people. If you are prepared to cover some of the things (bring slippers and warm clothes to hang out in. And some cutting boards.) it works very well."

"161 Pine Dr. - Review - Jon Kutscherousky
It was great, clean, newly renovated and homey! Only thing the house didn't have was something to play music on. I would def stay there again when I go back to Tahoe!!"
Feb 28, 2014 - , Lakeway, Texas

"Great Location, not so great everything else
Location-wise it was very close to the stateline (~$8 cab ride to Harrahs). Other than that, the place needs remodeling. Appliances and linens seem old/dirty and the carpet is in horrible condition. "
Apr 18, 2013 - , San Francisco, CA

"Nice location but house could of been more clean
Good:
- location was great, right down the street from the casino/Heavenly village area
- close to supermarket
- Big kitchen and had all required utensils

Bad:
- WiFi didn't work
- House could of been more clean
- Backyard not good for kids to play in"
Feb 26, 2013 - Shawn D., San Jose, California

"Loved the location but not the home.
One word about this property: OLD
The property management company deserve a 5 stars for the friendly and helpful service. The location of the property is down the street from Heavenly Ski Resort and Harrah's Casino which is a plus. "

"Great location!
We stayed at this house for 2 nights and we were having a great time there! Even though 2 nights' not enough, still we had a BLAST!! It is just close to the strip, close to grocery stores ( like safeway, raleys) and the beaches are just 5 minutes drive. We would love to go back there and stay in this house again! "
Aug 07, 2012 - , Sacramento, California

"Pretty Nice
The place wasn't spotless, the bedding was okay, i was told the sofa was more comfortable then the roll out beds. We couldn't get the ceiling fan to work and the two hairdryers in the bathrooms did not work. We didn't spend that much time in the unit, as we were down the road most of the day. Would definitely rent again"
Jul 21, 2012 - , Jeffersonville, PA

"Could be a lot better.
The food procesor didn't work, even though we called the management and they went to take a look at it. There where several light bulbs that didn't work, and we saw two cockroaches in the house. Overall not bad, but could be a lot better."
Apr 12, 2012 - , Coronado, CA

"My first experience and glad it was a good one!!
The home was clean and has the things we needed. Didnt really need to bring much. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom were nice. Had a great time since it was so close to the casinos and the grocery stores. Unfortunately we lost an engagement ring, (Gold, Diamond in center and small diamonds in a row on each side of the center diamond)... It will be greatly appreciated if this was returned to us. That will mean so much to us!

Thanks, Chan

If Ring was found, please contact me at "

"Best Place To Stay!!!
Overall best place I've ever stayed in Tahoe! It was RIGHT by the strip! Easy for anyone to walk/drive/get a taxi/etc. Everyone we were with had fun! Hottub on the deck was amazing. Pool table and big screen tv. All beds were very comfortable! :) Definitely going back up before the 4th of July next year! "

Overall a great place to stay. Especially if you are young and there just for a few nights. Close to everything. $8 cab rides to Harrah's or Harveys. Property manager was very easy to work with as well. "

"
The rental is not a 5 star resort by any means, but we all loved it. It is only a mile from downtown, so it is a fairly easy walk there, although I'd recommend taking a cab back (it's only ~ $10). Overall, the place was pretty awesome."

"House needs updating
Wonderful location, original lay out nice, but needs painting, more standard items in it (salt & Pepper, Dishwashing soap, etc.)
Toilet runs randomely- noisy at night, front porch is creeky and needs painting. No lounge chairs to recline. Backyard needs cleaning up to enjoy the outside world when we stay. Closet doors broken, etc. Remote to tv doesn't work- have to use buttons manually. We had to buy lightbubs that worked because lamps were all burnt out. Front yard a mess.People had thrown empty drink cups and straws etc. in yard. Jeren, our manager was nice. When we walked in to dirty cabin- hadn't been cleaned since last renter- he apologized and got clean up crew there right away. There was moths, spiders and lots of webs. One tv did't work so he switched it. It would have been nice to have a small tv in bedrooms so we could watch a movie and just go to sleep. "
