Park for free at the site's shared parking lot adjacent to Gar Woods Grill and Pier restaurant where you can enjoy Happy Hour on the lakefront. Parking is available throughout the lot. There are no designated beach or restaurant spaces or arrive by bike or bus for your convenience! The site includes a lakefront promenade, benches, picnic tables, barbecues (bring your own charcoal), and restrooms. Gar Woods welcomes you to its pier, and provides boaters with access to day use mooring buoys. The Lake Tahoe views are incredible and you will find this public beach to be very clean and easy to access. Carnelian West Beach is always open to the public year-round and pets are welcome provided they are on a leash. Mutt mitts are provided.
