Puamana 9C is a roomy and comfortable retreat with easy walking access to the heart of Princeville! Your home base has two bedrooms, a living and dining area with lovely high ceilings, a fully appointed open concept kitchen, and three private lanais. From the second floor lanai you can take in views of the lush grounds and the ocean in the background! The ground floor bedroom is also air conditioned, a real luxury on Kauai.

Situated perfectly for you to have quick walking access to all that Princeville has to offer, Puamana 9C is a fabulous jumping off point for your island adventures. Anini Beach, home to Hawaii's longest coral reef and perfect for swimming and snorkeling, is just a brief 8 minute hike away on a shady path. The Princeville Shopping Center is just 15 minutes away on foot, and has a Foodland grocery store and all the shopping and dining options you could want! You can also visit the farmer's market every Saturday morning, and grab a bite before enjoying the free Saturday afternoon hula show. The Westin Resort is even closer, only 2 minutes walking, and offers access to a Starbucks, grab and go minimart, and upscale dining at the Nanea restaurant (head over for happy hour deals from 3-5!). For even more retail therapy and dining options, the picturesque island town of Hanalei is a 10 minute drive away, as are the iconic beaches of Hanalei Bay. For a quieter experience away from the crowds we recommend checking out the Kilauea Point Lighthouse and beautiful nature preserve just a short drive away.

If running around on vacation isn't your style, the Puamana grounds have all you need for a slow-paced, relaxing retreat. Spend the day lounging by the pool with a drink (no glass by the pool please), go for an evening stroll along the golf course greenbelt, and take in the sunset over the water from the second floor lanai. Whether you're staying in or going out, there's something for everyone here!

For those looking to get around the island, drive time to the East Side (where the airport is) is about 55 minutes, and to the South Shore is roughly 75 minutes.

This is a two-story home. To access the second floor bedroom and lanai you must be able to go up and down one flight of stairs.

This unit is partially air conditioned, in the downstairs bedroom only. There are plenty of fans and screen doors on all the lanais to help with airflow in the rest of the house.

Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party.

"We Enjoyed Our Stay
For our family of 6 this rental was the perfect size. We loved the plants and animals around the property and the very closed proximity to the community pool. However, we were expecting forced air conditioning...not a single window unit in the downstairs bedroom and fan towers. Parking also became and issue because the complex was under construction and large lifts and trucks had taken up a large portion of the community parking spots. Thank goodness the community manager was a good sport about it all! "

"A Nice Vacation
The property was clean and well stocked. There was problem with the washing machine but the rental company addressed it promptly. We enjoyed the Dolphin restaurant and Postcards, both close by in Hanalei. Tiki Iniki in Princeville has great cocktails."

"2022 Vacation
The townhouse that we stayed in for the three nights was in lovely condition beautiful staff was absolutely wonderful and caring. However the online advertisement indicated air conditioning and there was only one bedroom with a portable air conditioner available for the entire townhouse which made the stay slightly uncomfortable. "

"Good location, great place overall
Excellent service from the property manager. He was extremely helpful to us. Overall the place was great and would recommend it but they need to take out the carpet that smells musty. Otherwise well stocked, comfortable beds, tons of DVD's, TV's in each room, air conditioning in one bedroom. The pool was deep and clean. Can walk to a lovely beach with calm water if you don't mind an uphill hike back."

"Great location
Perfect size for family of five. The beds were comfortable and firm. The kitchen had all the appliances and supplies we needed, really nice knives. Location was great. Close to grocery and shopping center and there is one beach you can walk to which was so wonderful. Two complaints-one is that one of the living room easy chairs was broken and unusable which meant we did not have enough seating in the living room for all of us. The other is that there was no useable closet space in the downstairs bedroom. Half of it was locked and the other half had a carpet cleaner and other cleaning supplies in it. We had to keep our luggage in the living room under the stairs and could not really hang our clothes up. Overall it was a great place to stay and we really enjoyed our time there. "

"Puré Nightmare
My sister and our spouses paid for three week’s stay at Puamana 9C. My sister notified Kauai Kahuna the day after checking in of a light out at the stairway/foyer and a switch out in both bathrooms. No response. A day later, I missed the step at the interior foyer and suffered a trimalleolar fracture of my left tibia and fibula which will cost years of my life to fully recover. My sister notified Kauai Kahuna of my fall. No response. Two days later, electricians came to repair the lighting and add the motion lights at the step area. Until then, the step had NO active safety features or warnings although a motion light with DEAD batteries was present prior to the fall and of no use. The additional motion lights were added AFTER the incident. NO apology or other acknowledgement was received.
This condo and others in this complex have the same design flaw in this step. Two other people in my group “fell/tripped” on this same step in the two days before my fall but were thankfully not injured. The ER doctor who treated me on the island was also aware of this step from previous near-misses.
My purpose for writing this review is to warn others of this dangerous step that is evidently present in many of the Puamana condos. I have no reason to believe that Kauai Kahuna or the individual condo owner (who has listed this condo for sale) will warn others or will do right by me. Their interests are clearly solely monetary.
In the meantime, it is now two-weeks post surgery on the mainland for me with many months of pain and extensive physical therapy ahead and, per my doctor, likely two to four years before walking without a limp. Needless to say, I will never return to Hawaii. Dream vacation turned into an absolute nightmare."

"Great staycation
Coming from the west side of the island, we wanted to holoholo to the north shore. Reservation Team was Excellent with our accommodations. Due to COVID, we felt safe that they took all precautions necessary and checked (on us), to be sure we were Kamaaina and not visitors. Property was as advertised! End unit across the parking lot from the pool. Quiet neighborhood. Inside is pretty much move in ready!! Property has EVERYTHING!! Washer/dryer, kitchen fully stocked with kithchen stuff!! Living room furniture and beds are comfy, lots of pillows, clean carpet, grill out on the lanai, (well protected from the rain), sunset from the balcony during the summer time. If you're a tv type, every form of tv is available! Like to read... books of Hawaii and such.
Very accommadating!! Beach stuff available as well.
only downside is just 1 room with ac, which is understandable since its an open loft type setting. This place still gets a 5 star rating from me!! Hoping to go back again!! We will definitely share of our "2020, 4th of July Holoholo" Mahalo"

"Perfect
My sister and I had a wonderful stay at Puamana 9c. We would definitely stay here again. It was just the two of us so there was plenty of space. She stayed in the downstairs bedroom and I slept in the upstairs room which is a loft with two queen beds and it’s own balcony. This place was well appointed and had every single thing that you could want or need. The place was clean, nicely organized and labeled accordingly. I really loved this because there is no guessing about anything when there are labels telling you how something works. I loved sitting in the recliner chairs downstairs and just listening to the trees rustle in the wind or the rain. The island had a lot of roosters so their caw was never too far away.Sometimes we were greeted by them at the sliding glass door. The unit was close to a walking path that took you down to a beach. I was able to walk this path and make it down to where some family was staying on Anini road. The grocery store and a lot of cool shops were just around the corner. There was a nice coffee shop there too. We frequented Hanalei which was just down the road too. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. The management company was very responsive. I had some trouble with the app and they immediately replied by email. My only real critiques were more of the management company than of the unit. I will say that the app, some of the many many emails we received or what the owner had labeled had some inconsistent information such as the WiFi password. A few days before We left, I got a message in the app saying that we needed to print the parking pass but this wasn’t true, the parking pass was in the unit. I’d called and asked if the unit had a Keriug (so I could bring some coffee pods)and I was told No there was only a standard coffee maker but there was a Keriug along with a standard maker and even a coffee bean grinder. These little inconsistencies weren’t a huge deal. They didn’t impact"

"Wonderful location in Princeville
The location was great and parking was easy. It is close to the pool but we were sad there wasn't a hot tub. The AC is only in the downstairs master bedroom. A better location would be in the two-bedroom open-loft bedroom upstairs so cool air could flow downstairs or they should get a second AC unit. Lots of window vents which helped but on warm days, more AC would be nice. I had to pay for a day of cell service to get the door code, so get this from airport Wifi before arriving. The kitchen was well stocked and great TV's for watching. We had plenty of space. Due to heavy rain and flood, access to Hanalei Bay was closed for several days. Clean and well maintained."

"A lovely time
We stayed for 10 days with an 11-month old baby and the place was perfect for us. The proximity to Hanalei and Anini Beach were particularly great. The house was as described. Clean and organized, and the property management company's communication was timely and thorough. The only downside was that there was carpeting and the barcaloungers were a bit grimy. I'm personally grossed out by carpet, so if that doesn't bother you, you'll be fine! Otherwise, we had a lovely stay!"

"Nice place and great value
While not the newest rental out there, you can't beat the location, price savings, and amenities.

Very close to Wiley's Beach/Anini Beach and to the Westin, both which we used quite a bit during our stay.

Unit was very clean and had tons of snorkeling and beach gear, even beach bags and toys. Will definitely return!"

"A home away from home
We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this home. It had so many things that we needed. There were 4 people in the condo, myself, my husband and 2 daughters - ages 14 and 17. There were boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel items (we did not use) and sand toys. Plus plenty of options for water shoes if we wanted to borrow them. The other thing they had was seasonings. I brought some because it was a suggestion but the shelf was stocked with your most basic needs for cooking.
Also it had a portable unit for AC in the master bedroom. We used it mainly for noise because we weren't sure really how loud "the Chickens" would be. We were up by 5:30-6am every day so we really didn't need them. I did bring Tide pods for laundry but there was some detergent to use. I am guessing because they wanted us to wash the beach towels prior to leaving. Having to do the laundry was nothing. Saved us so much room not having to pack towels. And they were excellent quality!! I highly recommend this place. Staying in Princeville was a pure delight."

"Beautiful pot for a family to stay
All the information we needed before, during, and after our stay was readily available and incredibly helpful. We were only minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants, could walk along the lovely golf course in the mornings or hike down the hill to the beach.
