"NOT A COTTAGE AT ALL AND NOT A GOOD VACATION RENTAL!!!
First I want to say that this cottage was not a cottage feel at all. We got inside this rental and were inside a garage instead of a rental. This rental was very small for three people. We found spiders everywhere. Also the french doors were not very secure. The table wobbled a lot. The bathrooom was very small as well. we do not recommend this place for a rental."

"Couples Get Away in Port A
My husband and I booked this property because we were seeking a location in Port Aransas that gave us flexibility to walk to the beach and shops but was also convenient to driving experiences in the general Port Aransas/Corpus Christie area. The property was very cute and sized just right for two on a week long stay. The home was very clean and had several items stocked for our arrival, which was appreciated. There was a private outdoor space that was very cute and the neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. Communication with the property management was great and they helped us when we needed to receive keys after hours. Check out was easy. We would love to stay here again."

Overall the rental was adequate. A couple minor items such as no hand soap by the sink, only 2 bath towels provided(my wife uses 2 towels when she showers), it would have been nice to have a couple beach chairs provided. On a positive note we noticed the propane for the grill was empty and we called on a sunday morning and it was replaced within a couple hours. Thank You, we enjoyed our stay."

This was a very nice quaint cottage with old charm. It was quiet but then again it was during the week without party animals. The backyard was maintained with St. Augustine grass that was plush. It was perfect for our dog that loved it! I would go back to this rental in the future. "

"Bad trip.
I am a property manager. I know the business. Problems happen. Having said that, the property manager walked off in mid-sentence as I was explaining there was no heat and it was 41 degrees in the unit.
The property management company should have checked the heat before check in. They blamed it on the owner. I do not recomend (Property Management)."

"Okay Stay
Great location but house itself left something to be desired. House was actually an extra wide single-car garage converted into a studio apartment. Had a screened-in porch added but there was no flashing installed where it met the garage so rainwater ran down the outside of the door and wall making the porch unusable. There was no table or chairs in the apartment but we brought in the old rustic table on the porch and two chairs so we had a place to eat."

AC unit was kind of noisy and there was a light outside the kitchen we couldn't turn off; both were a bit of a problem at night. Screened porch was great but needs a light source. Location was fantastic for convenience to everything. Outdoor shower helped to keep sand outside. Unit is small but great for a couple with a dog."

"Cozy Cottage

Most people paid far less than we did for a much larger place in the same area. While we loved the yard we paid almost double for two weeks versus one month stays for the people we talked to. "Lovely little casita!
This is such a cute little cottage! And perfect for anyone with dogs. It has a nice high fenced yard, a great screened in porch, and just a few short block walk to the beach. The kitchen equipment is pretty good - all your usual basics. I found the small collection of tupperware extremely convenient! Would have loved to see a tea kettle, but I made do!

A few areas for improvement*: I couldn't get the wifi to work, but I also didn't try extremely hard to troubleshoot. We ended up having a hotspot so it was a non-issue. The shower is small and the shower head is very tall! Almost too tall for me (coming in at 5'4"). But, it has great pressure and temperature! The shower curtain could use a refresh, but otherwise the whole place is extremely clean! The kitchen doesn't have any pantry sundries (oil, salt, pepper) but is otherwise extremely well stocked with equipment.

*These are all EXTREMELY minor and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat! Great location, (Property Management) is extremely easy to work with, and the app makes things so simple. Thank you for the lovely stay!

"Nice couples retrest
Everything was great. This is a cozy spot for a couple and would be perfect for a couple with two younger children as well. Master bedroom comes with a queen size Murphey bed and there is a couch which doubles as a pull-out twin bunk bed. The unit itself is one giant (relative) room - kitchen, dining nook and bedroom. It is new construction, well appointed and nicely finished. There is a gas grill for outdoor cooking and a screened in porch which is perfect for chatting at the end of the day with a glass of wine and gentle breeze blowing through. The backyard is just big enough for four folks and a furry friend; it is all fenced it as well which is nice for privacy and to keep the dog around.

WiFi is great and there is a new A/C unit and TV with cable.

All in all - we had a fantastic time and we will certainly be back.

BTW - we met the owner and she is a really nice gal and takes pride in her little rental unit.

"Perfect Little Place
Le Petit Chateau was the perfect place for my husband, myself and our dogs. It was small but it was so clean and charming, we loved it. Very friendly property owner and rental staff. Absolutely hassle-free. Bungalow-style rental was new but very quaint and almost perfect. The only thing we would have liked was that the area around the bed had more room; it was really tight. Located close to the beach and restaurants. Fenced yard was nice for our dog. Forgot how humid August can be near the Texas coast, but otherwise a very enjoyable stay in Port A! Would highly recommend."

This property was fine, a fair value for the size and location. I would not call it a "storybook cottage" but it was clean and well maintained. Additional seating would be a plus but the property is small and we did not go there to sit inside. The management co is not very good at all and not customer friendly at all. If I owned this property, I would replace the management co or do it all myself. I would stay again if I could deal direct with the owner or a different Mgt. co. "

This was the best little vacation home! It fit our family of 4 and a large dog, perfectly. We loved that it was not only dog friendly (with a fenced in yard) but dog welcoming!
