"I think this was our room.#308 picture perfect...
We feel in love with this room, the view was perfect. We sat on the balcony enjoy the air and the view. I wish I could’ve stayed longer but we couldn’t. The first time we came here was just me and my husband, it was on October 27th our anniversary is on October 16th same day as my birthday,but we were able to get away because I had just recently lost my brother. But the trip was perfect... this room was so perfect.. yours truly

"Perfect location for us!
Great, great location - right on the corner of the campus with an ocean view. The place was squeaky clean - could use some updates but we didn't go to Port A to stay inside. Relatively walkable to coffee and restaurants. Lost 1 star because there was an issue with our keypad and we were locked out for several hours - when we notified the office, they must've had a staff change and I don't think the messaging was relayed to follow up. It was eventually remedied and all in all we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely return!"

"Lovely, Relaxing Vacation Choice
This property is conveniently located to town & restaurants. It is very comfortable & well appointed, has great view... both from inside & from the balcony. There is covered parking, boardwalk to the beach...& the management was especially nice & helpful. It’s a truly fun place to stay!"

"Amazing views!
Our Beachhead condo was exactly what I was looking for! I wanted a great view, close to everything as well as the beach! The private walk to the beach was great! We loved the outside shower and hoses right off the walk so that we didn’t track sand in the condo. My kids also enjoyed the pool, playground, and games near the pool. We enjoyed making several meals at the condo, which had more than enough utensils and what was needed. We would definitely stay here again! "

"BH 308 is great except for the balcony patio door
The Condo is very nice and this is our second summer staying there. Views from the balcony are the best at Beachhead. The only negative, is that the balcony door is extremely hard to open and close. We had the same issue last summer. The only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is the balcony door. "

Picture Perfect View was a great location. The pool was nice. The game room was nice but would have been better if the air was on. It was so hot in there that we could only stay for 5 minutes without being covered in sweat. The view was pretty and the location was as close to everything. "

"Beautiful view, but kinda needs updated badly
Location is amazing, beautiful view and short walk to the beach. The facilities were great for the kids and the pool was warm. Furniture and the condo was very old and needs to be updated. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and lots of pans. Bathrooms were dirty. I need to be updated very badly. The ceiling in the second bathroom was pretty much coming down. The windows looking off to the beach are amazing yet none of them open. I would not stay in this condo again, but I would recommend the facility and maybe another condo that’s updated. "

"Outstanding stay, great location
Our two families with two small children loved our stay at Beachead. The location near the beach was among the best on the Island. The pool was warm and outstanding. The game room was awesome. The property was a little dated and the deck areas could use some treatment and attention, but overall it was great. Maintenance was immediately responsive to our brief internet outage. Check-in/checkout process was excellent. Perfect size for our group, though additional children would make it too small. Bathrooms were a little small, but were clean and shower was excellent. Kitchen appliances were excellent. Parking was a little tight, but sufficient for two vehicles. Would definitely try to get this unit or the other one closest to the beach in the future, but all units had good views and access to amenities."

"Much needed couple getaway.
This vacation home was Great! My husband & I needed a break from work and we couldn't have been happier at Picture Perfect View BH! The name says it all and the view was Amazing! The home was affordable, clean & well stocked with household items and the community was quiet, easy beach accessible, low key, had an amazing pool and was exactly what we needed for our no noise, peaceful evenings getaway. We plan to make this one of our top couple runaway destinations!"

"Truly a Picture Perfect View !
When you walk in the door of this Condo, your eyes look across the room and out the balcony windows at an amazing view of the Gulf. All I can say is the interior of the unit is just as beautiful as the view. You will not be disappointed if you elect to stay here. Highly recommend !"

This was our first time back to Beachhead in over 20 years. The updates to the room were great, and the view was perfect! This is definitely my go to room for future vacations. The kitchen had plenty of room to enjoy meals together!"

Had a wonderful stay at 'Picture Perfect View BH 308'! The property 100% matched the pictures and description. Super clean. Very well supplied kitchen. Loved the beach access, and kids also enjoyed the pool. And yes, the view is great! Loved hanging out on the balcony in the morning and evening. Highly recommended. "

"Nice location, mediocre stay and poor management
We received a text a day or so prior to our arrival offering the chance to arrive a day earlier than planned, as well as a text around 10:30am the day of our planned arrival letting us know our rental was ready. On our way, late in the evening well after check in time, we received a call from management to make sure we were still coming and also to inform us that the owner informed them that the patio door suffered damage in a recent storm, but assured us it was boarded up and we would be fine for the night and maintenance should fix the door asap the next morning. Unfortunately, we arrived late at night to find the boarded door had large gaps, letting the cool air out. Bugs had also been blown in and were al over our bed, bathroom, bedroom, window sill, and the bathroom sink was full of bugs and wings. Maintenance did not come by until late the next afternoon and even then, the door was not fully repaired and not yet functional- didn’t even have a door knob. So we paid for a beach house with a patio and nice view, but unfortunately our view was distorted and no access to the patio. Pretty disappointed. We stayed hot and had trouble sleeping as a result. "

"Fabulous stay!
Comfortable and clean, loved the living area and kitchen was spacious and well appointed. So nice that refrigerator was large and had ice and filtered water, but didn’t seem to have a good seal (things stayed cold but condensation was always present inside). We enjoyed the deck and the easy access to the beach. Had a ball!"

"Picture Perfect 308 is a Diamond in the Rough!
Our stay at this condo was beyond our expectations. The unit was extremely clean and very welcoming. Not to mention our awesome view of the sunrise in the mornings and listening to the waves throughout the stay! The view was so wonderful. This condo, in my opinion has the best view in the whole Beachhead complex! The owner has the condo so we’ll stocked all you need is your personal belongings and suntan lotion! The beds are so comfy you think you never left home! Did I mention this is the only heated pool in Port A that your in-the water and you can see the gulf! Oh yes!! It’s a spectacular
view. Plus they have a Shore room if you need more space to watch a different T.V. Program or play some games, it’s available to guests!
It’s a short walk down to the beach on the boardwalk, and your on the beach. Beachhead is beach marker 4 and the only bar on the beach is The Beach Lodge, marker 9. Just a short walk!
We only had to call (Property Management) once for a problem and they were right there. We are very happy with their service.
We will be back for our 5th year! Enjoy!"

Overall a nice place. Some of the furniture is dated and the bathrooms need a deep clean (shower, tub, floors). Nice view from the porch (which is closed) and the pool. Good walk over beach and short drive to a beach access point for a vehicle. Need car or golf cart to get to restaurants. "

"Port A Vacation
We really enjoyed our stay and the location of the condo is perfect! The views from the condo across the marsh and to the beach are stunning. We also enjoyed the fact that (in July anyway) the balcony had shade most of the day. We had fun in the communal game room and at the pool. Only issue was the barbecue pits were all located in standing water so we were unable to use them. We cooked in the condo instead. We had one maintenance issue during our stay (our fault) and someone came out right away on Friday night to fix it. We definitely recommend this condo and will stay there again!"

"Not happy with communication from rental agency
We left a virtual reality headset, Occulos, at the condo and did not hear back from the rental company to find out if it was still there or not. That was an almost 400$ device that I never got back."

"Spectacular Getaway!!

"Beautiful Beach Escape
The condo was extremely clean. We mostly stayed in and enjoyed the views from our room . The pool area is so inviting and relaxing; we did utilize the pool area. Overall it was a great getaway for the weekend. The only thing we will do is check in on Saturday. We arrived late on Friday night so we didn’t get to enjoy it as long and checkout was at 11am so we felt rush. But overall a “10.” Thank you!"

"Hands Down...amazing as always!
I've been coming to Beachhead 308 for over 15 years. It never disappoints. The view is incredible from whatever room you decide to park yourself in. The location...you feel like you are all alone in this quiet place and then poof you you drive out onto 11th st and find yourself on in the heart of everything Port A! Able to safety bike or drive to everything. Then there is the remodel and that is the cats meow. Not only is everything really pretty but comfortable. The beds, the couches, the dining area. Some places look good but aren't comfy. The game room and pool area are a nice cherry on top. "

"It was perfect

We will not return. This unit needs updating and repairs.
1) The door to the porch does not lock
2) The middle support under the king mattress is missing, so the bed is in terrible shape. It slants to the middle, making for very poor sleeping.
3) Bugs in the kitchen
You could really have a gem of a place with a little work and inventment."

"Great view but the room needs some work/updating
This is our second time in three years to stay at this property. We chose it again because of the great view and our different room # didn’t disappoint in that regard. I understand there was a hurricane ly but the room we were in had roaches all over the counters in the kitchen, mainly at night. In addition the condo in general needs some repairs such as the paint/mud tape is peeling in the MB, the shower/tub was not draining so we had to call maintenance. They pulled out a ton of hair & left it in the trash can. The stove although we didn’t use it is green like a model from the 70’s. The blinds in the MB were broken and at different times of day there would be random smells of sewer. We were not pleased with the looks of the rooms and especially not the bugs and will not be returning. "

"Needs to be Renovated
Older furniture. That's not a problem except there is no style to the apartment. It seems like all the cheapest things from different garage sales. Even if you put that aside roaches appeared in the kitchen overnight. We didn't leave food out and we hadn't used the kitchen yet except to put stuff away. The beds also the cheapest found, no support. I've stayed at Beachhead before using (Property Management), so this is not a reflection of them as property managers or the property itself. It's up to the unit owner to make this right. I would not stay at this unit until you see vast improvements and updates. "

"Family vacation
The location and view from the condo is great. The condo needs some remodeling and updating of the appliances. Room needed some deep cleaning to remove some stains or replace the carpet. Had to clean some of the appliances and windows upon arrival. Never found the laundry room so bring extra linens. Overall a good vacation spot."

"Disappointed
While we were comfortable and our basic needs were met, the only positive about this condo for the price was the view. The entire condo needs to be totally renovated. There was peeling paint in master bathroom, the carpet is outdated and all furniture looks like from decades ago. Avocado oven in kitchen. I killed at least 3 adult roaches along with several baby ones. I would recommend that the owner spend some money to bring it up to this century. There are far too many other nicer condos to rent. Also the website for these days heated pool and it wasn’t. We like Beachhead but will not rent this condo again. "

"Perfect View
The balcony and it's beautiful view from the condo is the overall best feature. Furnishings and carpet are dated, but clean. The parking space needs to be a hard surface, we had standing water and mud to contend with the whole trip. Hard to find condo first time in the dark because property does not have a Beach Head sign. Only a cardboard sign at the road. "

"The best view of the ocean!
Yes, this unit is a little outdated, but we didn't care. It wasn't so outdated that we were uncomfortable. If you really care about the color of cabinets and stove then this isn't the place for you. Everything worked and was clean. The couch is a sofabed but it was covered by a cover since the cushion was ripped. Again, that didn't bother us. This unit has the best view of the ocean and was closest to the boardwalk gate which is what we were looking for. "

"Great view, dated condo
We've never stayed at Beachhead before, but have stayed at other condos for decades. This of course was a challenge to find a rental since Hurricane Harvey did so much damage. Knowing we couldn't be picky this year, we booked the condo despite the photos showing very dated furnishings. First of all, this condo had incredible views of the ocean from the living room, bedroom and a large deck. The pool was very nice, also with ocean views. Nice grounds, exterior of condos and roof looked new. The new activity rooms being built should be fantastic for guests. But, disappointed in the furnishings. Very dated, mismatched furniture. Avocado green oven with push buttons straight from the "70's. Carpet was stained - very surprised it hadn't been replaced after the storm. Looked like the owner only had the interior painted. Guests in other units said theirs seemed totally renovated with stainless appliances. Will definitely check other units next time. Nice property overall, PortA Escapes made booking, checkin and out very easy."

The receptionist at the main office gave us the keys to the condo but forgot to tell us we DID NOT need a key, it was a code. It was unclear that we needed to provide our own towels. The stove was very outdated and the kitchen extremely small. I believe I paid too much for this unit."

"It's true --- Fabulous View!!
Fabulous view! Dingy, dirty, old furniture --- you don't even want to sit on it. Only two pans to cook with, one large that everything stuck to and one small that was badly chipped. Beds were comfortable. You can tell this is older property, but well-maintained. "

"Condo on the Beach #308
I have been going to Beachhead for over 20 years and this condo was very disappointing because of the cleanliness. Carpet was very badly stained all over and the whole place had a terrible smell to it. If they can clean it up and bring it up to par, it is a very nice place. I would return, but not to #308."

We LOVED the view and the quiet from the front porch. Definitely in need of updates, however. No room for our food in kitchen, uncomfortable sofa and chairs, scratchy sheets and stained carpet. We very much enjoyed our stay but would even have paid a little more if upgraded."
