Introducing Blue Crab BH107! This condo located on the 3rd floor with no elevator access, offers an open-concept living area provides enough space for your family to sit & relax together. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The primary bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two twins over full bunk beds. There a two full baths, one in each bedroom. Oh, did I mention the sunrises are amazing! Nestled in the golden dunes of Mustang Island, Beachhead condos all have awesome gulf views. The complex amenities include a heated swimming pool, community charcoal grills, community game room, a playground, and a private boardwalk to the beach. All units have private balconies to enjoy gulf views and breezes. Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only.
Per HOA: Before traveling to Port Aransas/Beachhead Condos, please plan the correct number of vehicles you drive in accordance to the rules below. Properly planning the correct number of vehicles prior to your departure will enhance your vacation experience:

"We love Beachhead
My family and I have been going to Beachhead for several years. This time our condo had a faulty sink. Maintenance were there to help right away but they couldn’t do much until we vacated. Needless to say we didn’t get to make any of our meals and I hand washed everything we used. Not a big deal but for the expensive cost, not ideal. We stayed 4 nights which can get costly but we will return. We will just book a different unit.
Also, the previous guest left tuna remnants in the garbage disposal. Cleaning crew need to do better there. Took me awhile to get that smell out. I always bring Lysol and extra cleaning supplies just in case."

"Could use some improvements
The location was ideal, and the back deck was pleasant for sitting. The pool was heated and very comfortable. Our smoke alarms went off every single time we cooked. With no ventilation above the stove, if there was anything cooked on top of the stove, it triggered a fire alarm. The furniture was cute and beachy. The most comfortable chairs were in the master bedroom, so that was unfortunate. They would have been an upgrade to the living room comfort. The Wi-Fi password was incorrect, but that was fixed as soon as we notified (Property Management).. I found (Property Management) to be very polite when booking a place, but experienced rudeness during the stay: however, they did get the needed repairs made in a timely manner. I just think they should pre clear the property to ensure it is ready to go if they are going to hire staff who will hang up on you to end the conversation when you call.
There was a nice view, and it looks like it is in the posted pictures online. The beds were comfortable. There were only two of us using the condo which is advertised as able to accommodate six people. I do believe that would be way too crowded for the living room set up. Great kitchen cookware, knives, etc...just beware of the smoke alarm going off if you fry an egg."

"Anniversary Vacation
We had a great time. The condo was very nice and had fantastic views of the gulf. Sunrise was beautiful. Very close walk to the beach. At this time of year, September, not at all crowded in town or on the beach. For a great getaway with very good accommodations, I would recommend this condo."

"Tranquil travel

"Great family vaca spot
Overall we had a good time at this condo. The proximity to the beach is great, the pool is less than exciting, I wouldnt have booked 3rd floor with my three small kids had I realized it was 3 flights of stairs, the doors to the master bedroom have shades on them the kids could flip up (not ideal), the balcony said it was under construction so we couldn't have our coffee out there and watch the sunrise as intended with the amazing view and we weren't made aware of that in advance. The bunk beds were great for our littles. None of the tv apps were working, and you could only turn down the ac to 72. "

"Nice place!
We enjoyed our stay at this property. The condo was very clean and had plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc, although hand soap would have been nice to have in the bathrooms. The view of the gulf was awesome, but we were disappointed the balcony was off limits. We were never told why, but it would have been nice to be able to use it. The bunk room was awesome for our kids! The only things I would suggest to make this a better stay would be a more comfortable bed in the main bedroom with sheets that actually fit and new living room furniture. The wicker furniture was not very comfortable. We loved the pool and how it had a view of the gulf as well. Great location and beach access was a huge plus. No need to rent a golf cart! "

"We won't be using (Property Management) again.
There were several issues that demonstrate that the maintenance and house keeping staff are not doing their job very well. First off, the coffee pot didn't work so we boiled water in a pan to make coffee. The board walk lights don't work. The lights are there, they just don't come on at night. Trash pick up is supposed to be daily (according to the hand out) but it actually ever two days. Trash was overflowing. There is no on site person or even an office to go to at the complex but the handout says see the on site staff at the the office on the hill. I looked all over that building and there was no office. We go to the coast every year. The place that we used to go to is ok, but we were looking for something better so we gave (Property Management) a try. We won't do that again."

The reservation email made me cautious since it didn’t show to have many amenities which I was supposed to bring to the place on top of offering an “optional insurance” for broken stuff (this should just be added to the rental price). We had a lovely time, the condo is well situated and you can view the ocean from the deck. Very well appointed, and the pool was beautiful. The only thing I would ask for is a more comfortable bed. "Beach Condo and Property Management Review
The condo itself was great. But, the property management totally lacking. There was trash left in trash can and despite calling multiples times and emailing, we were never provided any trash bags for our own trash. We were supposed to have been provided a couple of bags to start. The property management said they would have someone bring them but never followed through on this. If I was owner paying for the property management, I would take issues with their lack of responsiveness. "

"Dirty linens
We arrived to blood stained linens on one of the beds. No one available to change them as we arrived late. I left a message and did not get a return call so had to call back. The place is nice. The views are lovely. Really liked the remodel on this place. Unfortunately We tried to overcome the problem with the Roaches pretty much every where in the kitchen, restrooms, while sleeping in the master my husband had one in his forehead. We did Not cook or used any of the things in the kitchen. Also it would help if they had a sign out front we got to the property late night couldn’t find the place. Hope they can fix these issues ASAP! "

"Great value
We enjoyed our month long stay at Beachhead. Our condo was spotless and well stocked. Great views from the many windows. Easy boardwalk access to the beach. Nice swimming pool area which is heated in the winter. It has a good locatiin on the beach and is close to town. We had a great month’s stay in this recovering area and have already booked for next January. (Property Management) provided prompt service with any needs. "

"Near the Beach-Perfect
My husband and I stayed here 4 nights. The space is clean, well stocked, comfortable, and the balcony is great. The pool area is very nice also. the walk to the beach is short and easy. There is a playground in the center of the complex and you could possibly grill with charcoal there. Plan on bringing your own beach chairs, towels, etc. Also, get a map to the location when you check in. At night it’s very hard to find. Port A is still recovering from the hurricane so be prepared to see remnants of buildings. We love it there!"

"Better than expected!
This property, the amenities and our overall experience was better than we could have expected. The Condo was really nice and comfortable with more than adequate amenities. It really felt as comfortable as you would expect being in your own home. The beach/ocean view was spectacular!!! We're talking about returning next year... The property as a whole, we were pleased! It's a nice, quiet community with beach access at about 100 yards depending where you're located. They are still making repairs as you would expect after the hurricane but it didn't affect our stay at all. listed the property with a pool two months ago and up until two days before our stay it was empty but ready by the time we got there. Port A escapes was very helpful and accommodating regarding this concern. It felt like we were so close to everything... I would highly recommend this property!"

"Quiet family time
We showed up on the week after spring break. The place was empty. No wait at any of the stores. The apartments we were at only had 1 person staying there and the owner. We didn't see anyone else except for workers. The beach was picked up and not crowded at all. Plenty of golf carts to rent. Perfect time to go if you are a family not looking for the party scene. If you are single and looking to make friends to party with, this would not be the time to go."

"Spring Break at the Blue Crab
Overall, it was a nice stay! The beach was in excellent shape. The condo had a gorgeous view and was the perfect amount of space for our family of four. It was also decorated very nicely. Loved the proximity to the beach. A few things that could be addressed in the condo that would have made the stay even nicer.... there is a slow leak coming somewhere from the refrigerator/freezer. The leak has clearly been there for a while, as the floor boards (or sub flooring) are warped. The mattress in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable...possibly time for an update in there. The cushions on the couch were worn which made the couch uncomfortable to sit on. As far as the property as a would have been nice to have been made aware the pool was drained. During our stay, a maintenance company power washed the outside of the building, which then soaked my car with salty/dirty water. Again, would have been nice to know so I could have moved my car."

"Awesome Location! but...
Nice place close to the beach, really nice decorated, comfortable beds, the kitchen was completely equipped. A lot of light witch we loved, is really close to the pool as well, only a few steps and you are there. The only issue that we had is the dishwasher didn't work and start leaking water all over the floor. The wood floor was uneven close by the kitchen, so I'm thinking is not the first time. I Called the main office and they sent maintenance, then the maintenance guy said that he need to called the dishwasher guy. So that was on a Friday and we stay until Sunday. We never saw the dishwasher guy coming in, so we just wash everything or use paper plates. Also the apartment had only two rolls of toilet paper. really guys! ...... Any way other than that we had a wonderful time. I'll stay again there is really nice, I'll just make sure the dishwasher is working first! "

The condo seem mostly updated which made it very nice to stay in. Only thing I would do is update the second bathroom. They shower had lower water pressure. Like with most places I would recommend getting good mattress. The main bedroom has great ones but the other full bunk beds cold be better for adults. But overall we had a wonderful time staying there. It was exactly what you described. Love that it was quiet and easy access to the beach! Close to all the food areas. We would be happy to stay there again! Price was affordable for the time of the year!! Thanks again look forward to another trip to Port A!!! "

"Wonderful family vacation!!
This was a hassle-free stay! We took our son and husbands mother down for 4 days and had a great time. Very comfortable condo with plenty of room. It was a good experience. The only suggestion is solid doors on the master bedroom and more parking. We had four vehicles and a boat that couldn't got. Other than that everything worked out great!!"

"Family beach trip
The condo was great! The kids loved the bunk beds.. The view was spectacular... Clean and well maintained
The only thing I though that could use an update was the silver wear and a few lots and pots.. Otherwise a great condo!! Would definately go again... Close to the beach with a perfect walkway... "

"Wonderful stay.. but
First I want to say we really enjoyed our stay.
I just wanted to point out a couple of minor maintainence issues.
1. The towel bar in the 2nd bath needs to be re-installed. It seems like the parts are all there.
2. the rug in the kitchen may need a anti-skid mat.
3. the lock box was a little tricky to figure out.
