"Clean, convenient location and lots of room.
This is a great house for multiple families. Remember to bring all essentials. And bring beach towels, chairs and any other beach needs. Don't forget salt and pepper as you will need it."

"Fantastic place for family reunion, great location to everything.
We had great family reunion. The place was great, lots of room, great location to everything. We enjoyed our stay, and the family is already discussing our next trip."

"Great stay
We stayed at the Blue Hawaiian in Village Walk ,managed by Port A vacation rentals. We were so pleased upon entering at how clean the rental was. That isn’t always the case at a beach property by it was spotless. Kudos to the cleaning force. The kitchen had everything you would need to make a nice meal , the beds were comfortable and the property itself was nicely maintained. There are even two sets of washers and dryers !t was close proximity to the pool and had plenty of parking. Just a short golf cart ride to the beach. Pet friendly. Could not have asked for more. "

"The Blue Hawaii
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Blue Hawaii located in the gated community of Village Walk that had not 1 but 2 heated pools. The unit was clean and roomy supplying everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. Pot A Escapes were available to help and assist with any needs that arose. We loved the Blue Hawaiian so much that we rebooked before we left for the same time next year. "

"Blue Hawaiian
We all enjoyed the beautiful unit as it felt homey, was super attractive, super clean and had every thing we needed to cook....including a BBQ PIT. The family enjoyed putting together the 500 piece puzzles that were there!!! The color scheme of the house was fabulous!"
Jul 23, 2023 - Ana Laura S., San Antonio, TX

"Blue Hawaiian
The property was very nice and perfect for our needs. The Village Walk was gated and had great access to the beach. We had two issues during our stay. We found blood stains on one set of sheets which tainted our view of the beautiful house. The sheets were hospital grade, beware of that. The second issue was many of the dishes and silverware we tried to use were dirty with food caked on them, right out of the cabinet and silverware drawer. We did complain and they sent someone with another set of hospital sheets, but we just rewashed all the dishes. We did find a few roaches but not an infestation. Overall the property was nice and with these fixes would have been perfect. "

"Excellent House for family together time
Place was great. Well equipped and nicely appointed. Did not know you could not walk to the beach from property. There is no walking path to the beach. Gas bbq did not stay lit but wee used the charcoal pit and it was great. "

"Annual Port A Trip
We recently stayed at the Blue Hawaiian over sand fest. The house is so spacious! We had 6 adults and 5 kids. There was plenty of beds for everyone and a table big enough for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked and has anything you could need. The rooms are spacious and beds were comfortable. They could use a few more pillows- kings only had 2. My only real complaint is the floors. By the end of the first night (pre beach) my feet were black. This could be a port a thing as everywhere we have stayed has had the same issue. This issue is small enough that this will be back to stay again! Oh and the pool is heated to the point you could just walk right in."
Apr 12, 2022 - , Lakeway, TX

"JanFeb202
Our overall stay was comfortable. There were things that needed attention, these were minor maintenance issues and Port A escapes responded to our calls. Living room furniture was not very comfortable. I am not a tall person and found the low furniture very uncomfortable. If your under 5 ft tall you might like it."
Mar 20, 2022 - Susan B., Anoka, MN

"Well appointed house withing driving distance of the beach.
Our group of 6 adults, 5 kids, and our dog stayed at the Blue Hawaiian for 3 nights.
Pros: The home accommodated all of us well with plenty of bathrooms and a place to put our beach supplies. The kitchen was well-appointed, and the table and living room worked well for a large group. The kids really enjoyed the pool, and the upstairs covered porch was really pleasant.
Cons: The rental company provided us with exactly 3 dishwasher tabs (for 3 meals a day for 11 people), so we had to run to the store for more. We brought our own shampoo, soap, and laundry detergent since those were listed as not included. I was under the impression from the description that the beach was within walking distance. It's not- you could walk there, but not easily and certainly not with kids and supplies. Also the grill is not gas, it's charcoal, and you will need to dispose of your own coals after using. The beds were ok for 3 nights- very low and very cushy, but there were not any extra blankets or pillows.
Overall I would certainly stay here again, but I would bring more of my own supplies from home and expect to rent a golf cart or a car to the beach."

"Blue Hawaiian
Awesome house with super amenities in a quiet gated community. Beach just a short car/golf cart drive. Check-in/Check-out very simple, completely remote. Plenty of room and dogs are welcome!! Will definitely stay here again!!"

"Blue hawaiian great house !
Blue Hawaiian is a great house.
The only issue we had was using the lower bedroom for our guests who were not able to ascend the stairs (we are seniors and have friends like that). The bed was extremely low for those people to get out of. The upstairs beds were low as well, as if they could use a platform on the frame instead of sinking the mattress into the box.. The refrigerator required service calls due to being overly cold and freezing things. The Wifi was sketchy at first. Of course, Port A escapes did a wonderful job of addressing the fridge and WiFi and we appreciate them.
We realize being on an island has its’ own WiFi issues.
We would recommend (Property Management) and Blue Hawaiian to physically fit people who love Port A. "

"We had a great time at the Blue Hawian
We stayed at the blue hawian for 4 days during the Christmas holidays and had a wonderful time! The pool was heated and the kids loved it and it was in the perfect location for family fun and entertainment."

"Great Rental and Great Management Company
Highly recommend (Property Management)! After having my reservation canceled TWICE by another company and decided to go with (Property Management). The process was flawless and the house was perfect! Thank you!"
Dec 02, 2019 - Allison H., Austin, TX

"Great place for a big group of people!
This house was AMAZING! It was clean, beautiful, and well-stocked. Everyone slept comfortably and loved their rooms and bathrooms. The big tables, both in the house and on the porch, were perfect for our large family. "
Aug 08, 2019 - Katelyn W., Schertz, TX

"Our stay in Port A
This is a great house with tall ceilings and all the kitchen equipment you need. Bring the family, there is room for everyone. The upper deck has lots of space to relax and take in salt air. It's close to the beach in a gated community that is well maintained. Really appreciated the nice vacuum to keep up with the sand. We had a great stay. "
Mar 12, 2019 - Annette N., Dresser, WI

"What a great weekend!
We rented the Blue Hawaiian for 4 nights in November. The place was great. I love the separate beds with bathrooms in each bedroom. The upstairs master has a small living and kitchen which is a fantastic plus. The porch would have been terrific but we were just too busy to use it. Same for the heated pools! Some tips for those that are planning to go, take your own kitchen supplies. As stated in their description, they do not supply things like salt, pepper, flour, sugar, oil, paper goods, etc. The dishes and pans are pretty well covered and they have two coffee pots. We are looking forward to visiting again and would love to rent this house again. Another thing to note, is that the (Property Management) is excellent for communication and clarity!"
Nov 27, 2018 - Lisa H., Cedar Park, Texas

"A good time
The house was great - perfect size and nice amenities. Two washer dryer sets was nice. The house did have a strange smell like bug spray or smokers. Also there were a few roaches. Overall it was a nice house."
Aug 09, 2018 - , Industry, TX

"Wonderful rental
Loved the house and location. Eight women stayed for a week and there was lots of room. Never felt crowded. Loved the colors and feel of the decor. "
May 24, 2018 - , Wentzville, MO

"Great ... except for wifi
My family consists of business professionals that need to stay in touch with clients, office and staff. I would expect that your staff stay on top of this issue being that this same thing happened to me last year while staying next door. You did send someone out to trouble shoot the problem after I emailed your office. The fix was temporary and the issue lasted our entire stay. I'm not sure how you plan on correcting this matter but I do expect a credit for the inconvenience that we went thru during our stay.
I'd also like to bring up the matter of trash bags, paper towels and hand soap that you sparingly supply. If you need to add an additional 5.00 per day to cover thiis cost you may want to consider doing so, I find it tacky and annoying that I'm spending 550.00 per night and having to run to the store because these items are not furnished for a 4 night stay. With so many rentals on the market you should consider the small things that might keep customers coming back year after year."
Aug 16, 2017 - Herman H., San Antonio, TX

"AWESOME! Multiple Family Getaway!
We have been going to Port A every year since 2010 and found have found our FAVORITE place to stay at the Blue Hawaiian VW97 or any of the places thru Port Escapes. They were easy to work with, check-in and check out! 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!"
Aug 01, 2017 - Marc G., Cypress, TX

"Family Reunion
The only problem was the beds were on the ground and hard for older people to get in and out of"
Jul 05, 2017 - Marvin R., La vernia, Tx

"Blue Hawaiian
Over all good. We were not told nor was it listed in the description that there was only one garage available. My truck would not fit in the one available because of the water heater. We had to unload all beach stuff each night making it very inconvenient. Then it rained on Sunday morning making it double hard to load without getting soaked. Regarding the rain the family room on the front wall had a bad leak flooding the floor. Besides all this we had a great time."
Jul 01, 2017 - Randy W., New Braunfels, TX

"Port A Family Fun
The Blue Hawaiian home in Village Walk fit our needs perfectly for our family vacation of 12 people. We had plenty of room to spread out, play games, and cook fabulous meals in the well stocked kitchen. The kitchen even has 2 coffee pots and another coffee pot in the upstairs "apartment".
The large dining table was nice to have family meals together. The home is quiet, even though we were close to 11th street. The upstairs covered balcony was our favorite hangout after dinner to watch the sunset. I thought I would miss staying on the beach, but being away from the sand for a while was nice. The drive to the beach is less than 5 minutes and the Village Walk community makes for a clean, pleasant atmosphere with all of the colorful houses. The 2 pools are small, but the kids loved them and made for a nice transition from the beach. In regards to some of the reviews mentioning roaches, we saw none and had no problems at all.
Would highly recommend this property when staying in Port Aransas.

"The place was perfect
We found a comfortable, clean rental with adequate room. Will definitely consider again."
Nov 12, 2016 - Michael B., Bulverde, TX

"Blue Hawaiian Village Walk
We stayed in this same property only 2 years ago and at that time it was clean and well-maintained. For this visit, though, the property is already showing surprising wear and tear with cabinet knobs missing and toilets breaking during our stay. Also this trip we saw many more roaches inside the property than we did the first time. We were killing a few roaches every day during this stay."
Oct 06, 2016 - , San Antonio, TX

"The Perfect House for 3 Families!
Plenty of room for everyone. We had 6 adults and 5 kids and the house was perfect. Close to town and the beach with all the amenities we needed to feel at home. "
Aug 12, 2016 - , Justin, TX

"Beautiful experience
This home was exactly as what was presented in the web page. It is a gorgeous home and was perfect for our stay. Plenty of room. Everything you would need to to be made to feel right at home was there. Close to the beach. Safe feeling. I would most certainly stay here again! "
Jul 11, 2016 - Michael D., Cleburne, TEXAS

"Memorial Day wkend
Fine.. most beds were not supportive enough; kitchen pans stove top skillets were not nonstick so people had left much burnt food on pans so we had to be clean pans before use. I think we got most of the pans cleaned up for the next guess.

Layout and space of house nice. Family/dinning rooms good. TV's good."
Jun 13, 2016 - Rita D., Houston, TX

"Family Weekend
Our family enjoyed this fully equipped home. Each bedroom has a private bath/shower & TV. There are also 2 master suites (one you can close off.) Pet friendly--another plus. What a great idea with concrete flooring. Only downside was the gravel side yard (dogs having to do their business) but not sure grass would grow there anyway. "
May 19, 2016 - , San Antonio, TX

"Great Easter Weekend
We really enjoyed our Easter weekend in Port Aransas. This house was very spacious and had all you need! Lots of very nice details, wonderfully decorated and the kitchen was very well stocked. Glad we picked it!"
Mar 29, 2016 - Becky D., San Antonio, TX

"Great House!
Everyone at (Property Management) is so nice and accommodated our late arrival. The house was beautiful and the two sets of washers & dryers was a godsend with all our guests! We will continue to use (Property Management) for all our future vacation rentals! Thanks for everything! "
Sep 02, 2015 - Ashley C., Dallas, TX

"Village Walk #97
Great house! Only complaint would be the strange, very pungent smell that lingered on our clothes and luggage! Although we made good use of the two washers and dryers, all of our clothes had to be washed again when we got home because of the lingering smell! There is a lot of unfinished wood furniture and paneling that had the unusual smell. We have stayed in several other Village Walk houses with painted or stained wood and didn't experience this issue. "

"July Vacation Blue Hawaiian
Nice home, clean, full kitchen, great to have 2 washers/dryers, love the upstairs, like a little apartment. Beds were a little low to the ground but very clean"
Jul 07, 2015 - , Corpus Christi, Tx

"Great House
Super house. Big and roomy, great location, wonderfully appointed, all the amenities. Easy access to the seaweed-free beaches. A great vacation rental house.
Only two negatives: A few roaches were found in the house and blue stain on Great Room floor gave everyone blue feet. The blue feet was annoying. "
Jun 14, 2015 - , Port Aransas, TX

"easter weekend
The home was awesome. Everything was great until my aunt slipped on one the slippery stairs and broke her ankle. We spent most of the weekendat Bay Area Hospital."
Apr 10, 2015 - robert h., San Antonio, TX

"Blue Hawaiian Heaven!
The house was spectacular! We had some difficulty getting in and the front porch light was out so that didn't help but once inside we were over the moon with excitement. The house was so big, so beautifully furnished and stocked. The only thing negative was we could not stay longer.
"

"Perfect house for a large family.
We have an awesome week in Port Aransas. The house was decorated beautifully. It was a perfect set up for my family because of the second living area upstairs where the teenagers hung out and connected their gaming system to the television. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that was needed to cook meals. The only negative thing I can say is that there is not direct access to the beach. You have to drive. We rented a golf cart to save our car from the sand."
Jul 09, 2014 - , China Spring, TX

"Great Stay!
The property lived up to expectations. We had ten people staying, most coming from Dallas and we couldn't have been happier. Everyone slept comfortably and we had room to spare. The property was very clean and well maintained.
The location is great, with the beach access road just a couple blocks down the street. We had a great shrimp boil with fresh shrimp from one of the markets in town and also enjoyed lunch at Port A Brewing, which has a great craft beer selection.
We couldn't recommend this property or (Property Management) more. Second time we've used them for a stay and both experiences have been wonderful and hassle free. "
Jul 08, 2014 - Michael K., Dallas, TX

"Blue Hawaiian VW97 - 6/18/14 - 6/22/14
Beautiful and spacious home. Can't complain too much about the accommodations. A couple of loose towel racks and a loose tile piece in the bathroom, but as a whole GREAT HOUSE. The more we looked the more stuff we found hiding in the kitchen drawers that make the stay and food preparation a whole lot easier. Parking is a bit of a chore though. Details say no parking in front of the house, but you can at this location. Depending on how your renter neighbor parks will determine the ease or squeeze to your parking job. We parked a full size F150 crew cab in the garage and it's a two car garage if you rent the whole thing, wall dividing the two. There is also enough space for the same size vehicle on the back driveway in front of the garage. So four vehicles can be parked back there. If everyone parks nice, you have two more spaces up front on the curb. But if my only complaint is the parking competition, I would say it goes on my short list of places I would go back to. Oh yeah, one more thing. No grass on the property, all xeriscaping. Pet friendly, but your dog better learn to pee in the gravel."
