"Good vibes location is great!
Each year I go down to Port Aransas and stay at a different location. I really did enjoy my stay at Good vibes. Loved the location. The place was very nice and clean. I travel with little kids and so this location is nice because I don't have to worry about strangers being around my girls. I definitely plan on booking with them again for next year's trip. The only thing about the location that bothered me was that I had to request the information to know where I was going. I have booked with corday escapes before but this was the first time that I literally was asking texting for the directions of where to go to right before I left Austin. Thank you it was lovely!"

"Everything Great Except for the Beds
This was a beautiful condo with a lot of comfortable space. It was perfect for my family of four. It had lovely decorations, board games to play, and the amenities. The pool was nice and the location was close to everything.
The only negative were the beds. They were absolutely awul. They were hard, the sheets were like paper, and the pillows were flat. No one in the family got good sleep because of this. Hopefully the owners see the reviews about the beds and replace them. If it wasn't for the beds, the place would be perfect. "

"Excellent
Rent this place! We loved it and will be back. We have stayed many places on our annual beach trip and good vibes only was the best place we have rented yet! 10 stars!! Very clean! We had a leak we noticed when we went to wash a load of clothes but a quick call to the emergency line and they had a maintenance person there quickly. Turned out to be a clogged A/C line. Technician was very pleasant and got it taken care of quickly. They called to check on us the next day as well. That didn't effect our stay at all- things happen :-) Only thing I would suggest is a better way to get into the pool with the playground as those codes expire and we had a hard time getting in."

The house was perfect! Plenty of room with everything you need. Loved the keyless entry and the close proximity to the pools. The only downside was not being able to rent a golfcart due to the location of the property. That should be disclosed before it is rented. "

House was clean, and ready to go in a timely manner. Maybe add a few extra blankets but other than that it was great! Also the two papers that were in the house with check out Instructions had 2 different temperatures listed for check out. One said 75, the other said 78. That was a tad confusing. "

We enjoyed our stay at Good Vibes Only and location is perfect. The property was very clean and everything was provided. The thing we enjoyed the most was the privacy every unit has. The grandkids loved the pool and it was only a few steps away which was very convenient. We would definitely come back and stay here next year! The whole check in and check out process was very easy too."

"Cute but uncomfortable master
The condo was very clean and matched the pictures. We loved the pool that's right outside the patio. Loved all of the cute decorations. The only things that we didn't like were the beds...especially the master. The bed is hard as a rock and the sheets were even worse! The sheets felt like they could cut you if it bent! I don't know if I've ever encountered horrible sheets like that before. The other issue is all of the light in the master. You have the big bright light on the TV that shines when turned off, the light coming in from the bathroom French doors and the light from the patio door. Needless to say, we didn't get any sleep here. So to sum it up, we absolutely loved how cute, clean and well stocked the home was but improvements are needed in the master. We also appreciated the tv's being setup with all of the channels and apps!"

"Nice and quiet vacation home
The location of this property is fantastic, on the marina side of the island and closer to the ferry end of 361. The property was very quiet and the people staying there seemed to keep to themselves. The unit was fantastic and we didn't go without. The patio was great to sit out on and relax. The amenities were fantastic and we really enjoyed the two pool options. My only wish would be that one pool be designated for adults only but if you time it right, there weren't even too many people at one time any way. "

"Great Beach Getaway
The home is well appointed and VERY clean and comfortable. We had plenty of towels, TP and paper towels. The kitchen was fully equipped.
The location is close to town, there are shops and restaurants nearby. It’s across the highway from the beach, but since you can park on the beach, it wasn’t a problem. "

"Not all that great
Enjoyed the exterior views of the home, but the interior needs a serious renovation! The couch is more like patio furniture and not at all comfortable to sit on, Beds are not very comfortable either with the very outdated sheets, sheets had a slight mildew scent, and when we were leaving we saw a roach on the last day. I stayed here in hopes of feeling like I was at home by seeing some of the previous reviews, it was a total letdown. Staff was very helpful, and the pools were also nice, that was a big upside to everything."

"Admirals Quarters 103PB Review
Our stay at Admirals Quarters 103PB was perfect for the week. The condo is conveniently located closer to town but not on the beach side. We were positioned between the two pools and barbecue pits so that was great. The condo was very clean and had all the necessary kitchen equipment. The dishwasher did not work well but that has been reported. The two bedrooms were very comfortable with king sized beds and adjoining baths. We loved having the enclosed patio with an outdoor shower for cleaning up after our beach trips. We will surely try to rent this property again for future visits. The property manager lived in the next door unit and he was very pleasant and helpful. I have already made recommendations of this property to family members. Since we were traveling with a 1 1/2 year old, we only ate three meals out during the week. Eats was terrific for brunch, Virginia's waterside for lunch and San Juan for breakfast tacos as we departed the island. We were sad to leave the island and the great time we had in Port Aransas while living on island time. "

Absolutely loved this home! Very clean and spacious. I have 2 babies and I like the closed in, private patio. The pool was a hop, skip and jump away! Gas station was in walking distantance. Defiantly staying every time we visit Port A!"

"Pirate Bays Admiral Quarters
Overall, my stay was very enjoyable. This was a pleasant unit very well laid out with good use of all the space. My only issues were Dirty dishes in the cabinets ie, pots and pans, silverware and plates and bowls. Large serving bowl was broken and left in the cabinet, that should have been removed before my arrival. The big light fixture above kitchen was not properly fitting, I called and they sent someone out immediately to correct the issue.(thank you) I was very happy overall."

"First Impressions Matter
Overall, the unit is nice but the beds and sofa were very uncomfortable. The cleaning crew did not do a very good job with the floors (sandy, dirty - throughout). Some lights did not work, remotes needed batteries, coffee maker is not working properly, patio area was dirty, etc. Again, very nice place but need more attention with the smaller details."

"Great Condo, Poor Rental Company
We absolutely loved the condo. It was clean and well decorated. The amenities at Pirates Bay were also great for children.
The management company, however, was rude to my husband when they gave us keys that did not work implying that we do not know how to use keys. It also took over an hour to get someone there to fix it (who noted that they keys were indeed bad). No one ever apologized even though my husband had to walk to and from the management company (car keys were in the condo).
Would recommend Pirates Bay if you can use another management company."

We loved this cottage for our family of four! The pools were beautiful and clean and the groundskeeper that we met was super friendly and helpful when asked about the local area food and activities.
The girls at PortAEscapes were very friendly and helped us get all that we wanted and not spend money we didn't need to on properties that weren't a good fit-we have had that experience with another rental company.
We will definitely be back to stay! "

This condo looks really nice in your online pics-it's even nicer in person. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. Everything was well stocked and in pristine condition. The on premises pools were so convenient for our son not to mention Pizza Hut in walking distance.(it was a twelve year olds dream spot)"

"Beautiful & new, but not a place to cook
Pirate's Bay was gorgeous and the everything was very new and sparkly, but our condo had a pitiful assortment of cooking tools. There were no grill tools, not even a decent cheese grater! Also, the "grills" at the pool were actually smokers with large flat grates, not actual grill grates. Weird. Every other aspect was clean and comfortable as you'd expect from a new development. "

"Relaxing in the Rain
We had a great time even though it was cold and raining. The place was really clean and cozy. I just wish the pool was heated and I would return in the winter time. Front door was jammed so we had to fight with it every time. No coffee filters so be sure to take your own. Over all we enjoyed our getaway from home."

"Not what it used to be
First let me say that we stayed at this same property a year ago and were not only very pleased, but gave a glowing review. We liked it so much that we brought our family back this summer. What a disappointment! The office staff, though we only dealt with them by phone, were consistently rude and only begrudgingly helpful. The condo was dusty, but clean (excepting the kitchen counter tops that were still caked in Comet), but there were a myriad of other small issues, which all detracted from the experience. One of the toilets was broken, there was no broom head on the broom stick, there was no iron or ironing bored, though there were extra pillows there were no pillow cases for them, they gave us 1/2 a roll of paper towels for the week, 2 half rolls of toilet paper plus one extra (for 4 people for a week), the couch is stained and the cushions are shot, the master bed mattress is enough to put an adult in traction, they still haven't addressed the too shear window coverings that so many people mention in their comments, the smoke detector in the hall is missing, the list of minor things goes on and on, nothing major on its own but in totality, not worth the money we spent on the place. Unless the owner and the management company are willing to reinvest some of their profits, the property will continue to decline. Such a disappointment!"

"Living in Port A
This was a very nice condo & decorated with some very tropical decorations! My kids loved their room and were very happy to have their own TV with some of their favorite shows. I was home away from home. The only suggestion I have would be to replace the cushions on the living area couch. They were flattened out and stained. We also didn't have a good connection for our cell phones and wi-fi was not available. Other than those 3 things, everything was great. This place was very cozy and the private pool around the corner was great versus the crowded main pool. Would pick this condo again!"

"New Hampton Inn ruins Pirates Bay
Recommend the owner shutter the 2nd bedroom window, as neighbors have done, from the outside due to the recent opening of the Hampton Inn with its all-night parking lot flood lights. It was as bright as daylight in the room and my daughter could not sleep so we had to buy some aluminum foil and masking tape to black out the window. Otherwise a great property and great condo. "

"1st time in Port A
This is a great property if you have kids. The pool and playground were an A+ for our son. The beach access was close and easy to find. The condo was clean, roomy, and nicely decorated. The only very minor issues were that the TV in the master didn't work (management did send someone to look at it but he was not able to get it working) and the window coverings in the 2nd bedroom did not block much light out (lights from parking area are very bright at night.) These small issues would not deter us from staying here again. "

"Need a tad more updating.
Don’t get me wrong, because this was really a great place. It did seem that the owner may have cut some corners. This was the third time we stayed at Pirates Bay and this was the worse out of the three. The unit was very clean and the setup was great, but the TVs were very small, the couch was a little uncomfortable, the beds weren’t the softest, had issues with the porch light coming on, and there was no extra toilet paper or paper towels. To make maters worse, the A/C went out late Friday night. I know the property owner had nothing to do with this, but it seemly added itself to the list of issues. The other two units we stayed at Pirates Bay excelled in all areas. If I have a choice next time, we will not be staying in the particular unit. The management is great from Port-A-Escapes and will do all they can do to make the visit the best yet. This even means getting an A/C repairman to fix the broken A/C at 1:30 in the morning. Although this was not the quality we have come to expect, we look forward in staying once more in the future at Pirates Bay."

"Last Minute Escape
A couple of friends invited me on a last minute trip to Port A for the Beach to Bay marathon. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find any reasonable accomodations, but was extremely satisfied with the Pirate's Bay property. The entire reservation process was seamless and went off without a hitch. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for accomodations in Port A and look forward to my next visit."

"Girl's Weekend
We absolutely loved The Cottages at Pirates Bay. When looking on line at different places to stay, the tropical look of the cottages and pool were very attractive to me and the pictures really didn't do it justice. This is a beautiful place and only a few minutes from all the action (beach, restaurants, shops and bars). We were running a few minutes late upon arrival and the personnel at (Property Management) were very accommodating. We are already planning our next trip. Thanks (Property Management) and Pirates Bay for a great girl's weekend!"

"A wonderful vacation spot!
We had a wonderful time in the beautiful and nicely fitted out Admiral's Quarters in Pirate's Bay. Only two complaints: the construction noise and mess next door was a bit unpleasant, and the coffee maker didn't work. But the nice coffee shop down the road solved the second problem, and we hope the construction will be completed by the time we return. Oh yes, I think we will be returning!"

"Admirals Quarters 103PB-Cute Condo, Perfect for a Couple Retreat.
Really the main thing that was a big bummer for the 4 of us who stayed here was: On the website the description said that the Condo was in walking distance or was close to the beach. I even called and confirmed with the lady at the realtors office who said it was about a 5 minute walk- no way!! This Condo is NOT in walking distance. It is on the other side of the street from the beach.
We stayed for 5 days and never used the pool but did check it out and the pool is very small. We did use the grill twice and it works great. The pool was filled with kids. The other pool on the property was loaded with sand (not clean at all), there was no one at that one so we are not sure if it was done being built. It would be great if they did a adult pool for some peace and quite.
Regarding the bedrooms in Admirals Quarters; the front bedroom needs a curtain. There is a white sheer blind that you can see through and a ton of light comes in. People can see you in your bedroom. We know because we had our friends check. We clipped a sheet up for privacy and because there was so much light in the mornings. When we signed the guest book from the condo we read that everyone who previously stayed there also wrote about that front room window. I don't know why no one has done anything about it.
The 2 bedrooms are on opposite sides of the condo so it is great if you are going with another couple. Everything was very clean and the furniture and decor was nice.
The TVs in the bedroom were tiny which we weren't there to watch TV however; they had dish TV so we would turn it on and listen to surius radio which is about 20 different stations of music with no commercials. That for us was great especially at night when we were cooking. The kitchen had a good size table that say 6 so at night we would play cards. We really had a great time and do recommend this place. However; we prefer to be on the beach and this condo is not.

"Would not stay here!
We were never told about the two new construction sites that we going on next door and right behind us. The construction noise started at 7 in the morning and went on till 7 at night. This was 7 days a week. My husband and I went to the property management office and told them, the lady just smiled and said so sorry. They already had their $1500 dollars so they didn't care. My husband is a Home Inspector and I am Realtor, the last thing we wanted to hear was construction. We wanted to hear the ocean and the sea gulls not a jack hammer, nail guns and the cement truck. We went for some peaceful quite time, but we never got that. I feel like we never really got our vacation. Would never book with them again."

"A great family vacation
We enjoyed our stay at the Admiral's Quarters. It was just the right size for a couple and a teenager. We each had a bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and the entire unit was nicely decorated and clean."
