"Fun family vacation.
1511-Very nice, clean condo! The resort provided all needed. It was nice for the kids to have activities such as the putt-putt golf and pickle ball court. We all enjoyed the dive in movie night. Check in was easy. Having the poolside bar/resturant was nice. Only negative is that the furniture in condo needs to be updated. A little worn out. Also could use a couple of extra blankets. We will definitely be back. "

"Not worth the price being charged.
We have stayed in prob 11 different units in this building. This unit is a 5 out of 10. Everything about this place was penny pinching. tv remotes batteries were dead I had to go buy some. beds are completely worn out and need to be replaced caused us major back pain. most of the furniture is very dated and needs replacing. kitchen cookware was sparse and utensils were cheap flimsy dollar store plastic . There was 1 dishwasher soap pod and only two trash bags for a 5 night stay. Ultra cheap LED light bulbs make the whole place look like a depressing hospital. Quality LED bulbs are cheap nowadays there simply is no reason not to use warmer color bulbs. Unit itself was in good shape. Location was great. But given the price and comparisons to other units in the building we probably won’t book this one again in the future. "

"Destin visit # 10
overall it was very positive. Beautiful view and the property was very clean.
we had difficulty in our room getting the cable to connect to the TV. We had several people try and for 2 full days we had no TV. finally someone rerouted the system so we could watch. everyone was very helpful but a very frustrating issue."

"Tides Unit 1511
3rd time at Tides. Not the best unit, needs updating, better linens, new washer/dryer, dishwasher, furnishings are worn and stained, front door does not close properly, need to double check it is really tightly closed or will randomly spring open. Unit is just tired overall and cheaply maintained. Stayed in unit 911 before which is way nicer.
Management company very slow to respond to issues like non functioning pool code and requests to discuss noise. Also failed to call in advance to say they had coordinated a maintenance visit due to possible water leak, led to confusion on why people were trying to enter apartment as we were on balcony and could not hear knocking at door and one person had just stepped out of shower. Very irritating and embarrassing.
On arrival, property had not been thouroughly cleaned, sand was on floor througgout unit, food crumbs in main bedroom, dishwasher was blocked with food and water had been left sitting which smelled disgusting.
Also, check with building management prior to booking dates to see if any construction is planned. During this stay, there was roof construction going on with grinders and hammering on steel starting at 07:00 each day except sunday. Made for a really disruptive and not relaxing stay. "

"Tides 1511 Review
Tops'l is a really nice complex with very good amenities and features. Pool area is great! This is a good unit with positives and a few upgrades/fixes needed. Overall we had a very nice stay and things were fine. To be open here are a few things: it needs some TLC from the owners, mostly small things but they should be fixed. Examples are you can't run the fan in the master without the light being on (chain mechanism broken), the dryer is so very loud that you can hardly talk while it runs. It needs replaced. The chairs around the dining room table are so old that there is no cushioning in them, you just side on material and a wood frame. The curtain rods need to be replaced as you can hardly get the curtains opened or closed without being afraid you will pull them down from the wall. Also, as others report the noise on the deck is very loud from the a/c units at the Hilton next door - and the sun shines directly onto the deck in the afternoon and it is super hot.
Those are the specifics but they don't make the unit not worth staying in. It's the best deck, size and furnishing I've ever had at a beach condo. The layout and furnishings, beds and couches are comfortable and fine. A/C works good as do kitchen appliances. I would stay there again, especially if the owner fixed the items mentioned above."

"One night stay
We booked this condo after staying in Beachside 2 for 4 nights. We needed to stay an extra night and this became available. It was spectacular! Very clean and up to date, and the view was fantastic! So wished we could have stayed longer and definitely will look for availability in the future. The booking staff were very accommodating in finding this for us and very pleasant to work with. I only have one complaint, and that was that a Fitbit watch I left there was never found.
We loved the restaurant, pools, and chair rental was much less expensive and crowded than at the Beachside 2. "

"2021 Robinson Vacation
This was our first trip to Destin, this location was perfect! Close enough to the fast paced, crowded part of Destin, but away enough to feel separate. The condo was clean (other than random objects in closets) and perfect amount of room for us, the balcony was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! The property was so clean, and well kept. We loved the two pools - having the opportunity to be separate from younger children and the bar/restaurant was fabulous. Next time we won't pack chairs - MUCH better to rent. We will be back - wonderful stay!"

"Beautiful Views
Beautiful Views in a great Condo! We loved the location . Close to everything! The beach was amazing . Not very crowded during Spring Break. But weather was cooler then expected.
The condo was nice and clean. Wish there were more blankets, we only had one for the pullout couch. But otherwise great place !!"

We had a great stay! Everything was clean. We are big on the beach so easy access to the beach was one of our biggest needs and this place was perfect. The pool was nice with a bar/grill right there at the pool. Very close to everything you could need. Would stay again! With regard to the management company, Gibson was great and so easy to work with. I will be calling them again next time as well!"

"Beautiful View
Spacious condo on the 15th floor. Views were amazing. The beach was gorgeous and the water was crystal clear and warm. Easy access to the beach. My husband and son-in-law were able to play three day’s of golf using a pass that provided one free admission. The kids were able to Zip line, bungee jump and do a rope course for a reduced price due to the pass given us by Gibson. Sexton’s fish market has freshly caught fish and shrimp.
Overall our family vacation to Miramar Beach was great fun

We had stayed in the same condo at The Summit for 25+ years. We were very reluctant to change to a new location. First, I was knocked out by the group at GBR. I have never worked with a more gracious and professional group of people. We were extremely pleased and delighted with our unit in The Tides. Every thing was as advertised. The kitchen was very well equipped and nicely appointed. We were particularly pleased with the large deck. We spent a lot of time there. The view was wonderful. We have already reserved the same unit for September."

"Worth every penny
We loved the condo! African safari theme and all! Beds were comfy, furniture was nice/ new and comfy. The accommodations were perfect! stunning view from front and back doors... be careful of the wind when the back door is open. Almost chopped off my daughters finger! (front door slams shut with the wind). Had one issue with TV and they were there to help in minutes. "

"spring break 2018
Overall good. Nice location, away from the crazy busy part of Destin. Great beach and pool and liked having tennis courts, basketball, and shuffleboard right outside our door. Guest bed was very squeeky, kids did not sleep great. Master bath is in need of towel racks and would prefer a regular shutting door in the bath instead of a slider - very loud at night"

"Memorial Day Getaway

The stay at the Tides was very relaxing. The beach and pool area was not as crowded compared to other resorts we have stayed at in Destin. Price was very reasonable. My only compliant, the floors in the unit was not clean. You could tell housekeeping spot mopped the floors. "

"Hurricane Vacation!
We arrived Monday and had mandatory evacuation Tuesday. The condo was pretty much as shown and described on the website. were awesome in the face of disaster. Kept us well informed and worked with us for the days we were evacuated.
There was one problem with the condo. In the guest bath, the shower sprayed every-which-way! Think there is a leak at the hand held connection. Other than that, the condo was well equipped. Floors need mopped...not just vacuumed, our feet were black from walking barefoot."

Pros:
Beautiful View, large screen TV, great management, nice refrigerator with ice maker in the door.
Con:
Limited storage, owner has many boxes in closets, broken things in kitchen could be thrown out, furniture in living room and dining room is falling apart, no towel bars in master bath, outdoor furniture the paint is peeling off."

"Excellent Stay!
Enjoyed a great stay at the Tides at Tops'l. This condo was in an excellent location on the top floor and had a huge balcony. You can easily view the Gulf, the Bay and the spectacular sunsets all in one view. The condo itself was lovely and very much as advertised. I especially enjoyed the large master bathroom with the TV. It may benefit from a couple of places to hang your towel, but that would not prevent me from returning. Great location away from the majority of the crowds and close proximity to the nature preserve which offers a pristine beach for walking. Will definitely reserve from Gibson again!"

We really enjoyed our visit to Sandestin, and Tides 1511 was very nice. If we were to come again, we would prefer to stay on a lower level and more toward the front of the building, as the patio was very cool until mid-afternoon when the sun came around to our side of the building. The view, however, from our level was fantastic!"

We really loved the location, unit and the beach. We usually stay in Sandestin Resort but was much happier this year, the beach is far less crowded than Beachside 2. The only draw back for me was no free fitness center in the building. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyed our vacation."

Rental was good. overall condo was very nice, well equipped and clean - wonderful shower in the master bathroom. Nice view of the ocean. Had some noise coming from the outside storage door when the wind blew hard, which it did for a couple of days. No directions on the entertainment system made it hard to figure out how to watch a little TV. a few paper towels left on the floor from the cleaning folks."

Fabulous, comfortable, great view, well equipped, photos on-line are exactly as the rental is, quiet, and on and on... I would definitely come back again to this rental!! I couldn't wait to get up and have my coffee on the patio each morning!! I loved walking out the door and right onto the beach!! The only thing I would change was the key pad to get in was outdated. We had to keep track of keys vs typing in a code and the door unlocking!!"

"Beautiful View!
Very nice unit with lots of room. It could use an update on the electronics as the tv's are old and the huge stereo system does not work. We had a convention next door at the Hilton and had there been an access way between the two our stay would have been a 10. Having to trek the beach or drive all the way around for meetings and socials was a pain. Appliances are fairly new and the kitchen was well stocked. Pool area and beach were very nice with good food and drinks available. Overall it was a great stay and very convenient to restaurants and stores. An easy 4 out of 5 stars!"

Condo was updated an overall nice, but a huge issue was the key situation. Why doesn't the unit have a keypad lock on the door for easier access? Would be hesitant to stay there if another unit with a keypad lock was available....."
