"Very disappointing
From the moment we arrived i was cleaning the condo. Extremely dirty and unkept. Very unhappy to pay what i did to stay here. Being outdated is one thing but it was a property with a lot of issues. Dirty walls, floors, appliances broken, toilet rocked terribly, cob webs everywhere as well as dust. This place is never cleaned."

"Disappointing
Upon arrival toilet had diarrhea stains under toilet seat. Had to clean toilet myself. Not what I wanted to do on vacation. Used paper towel on floor in main room.
Vendor put down 7 rows of umbrellas only 40% actually rented. Left absolutely no room on beach for anyone else. Had to get up at 5:30 am to get a place to put up individual umbrellas. Ridiculous "

"Beaschside II 4231
The property was under construction and we were not made aware of this prior to booking. The workers were working directly outside our window where they were looking into our unit every morning. The maintenance shut down the elevators for one entire day, thankfully we were only on the 3rd floor but others were not so lucky. I would not recommend until all repairs were complete."

"Wonderful Stay
What a great getaway with my granddaughter. The location is perfect. We enjoyed being so close to the entrance to the pool and beach. The only issue we had was our a/c went out the last night we were there. It took too long to get someone out to check it so we left. "

"Mostly Positive, 1 Big Downside
Arriving at the property I loved the gated community setting. When I found our room I was very pleased with how nice the room was. The room, the views, the building, the convenience, was absolutely perfect. The one big turn off for me was how crowded the beach is. It was largely due to the unnecessary 4 rows deep probably 200 feet long of umbrellas set up on the beach to be rented. Of which, probably 25% were rented. This pushed everyone down in front of the umbrellas close to the water, people were literally setting up directly in front and behind us. Our kids didn’t have room to play. Pretty miserable beach expierence. We did enjoy the pool, and again the room was super nice and clean, but the beach expierence insures we are unlikely to return to this location in the future. "

too many people on this section of the beach which we found out was not private to this condo....unfortunate, extremely crowded
the tub/shower drained very slowly...hated standing in ankle deep shower water; light over the dining table flickers..had to turn it off; living room TV in an awkward position; coffee pot definitely needs to be replaced

My wife and I stayed for the month of February.
This unit could be absolutely beautiful with stunning views. Unfortunately the unit is filled with a lot of useless old furniture. The furniture that is meant to be used for relaxing was very uncomfortable, old and worn. Like I said, we stayed a month without a comfortable place to sit. If you are staying a few days, it would be fine but not recommended for a longer stay."

Furniture and decoration needs replaced. No comfortability in any of the furniture. Also, pool was not heated as indicated. You may want to call and check this if going for pool in off season."

"Beach Rental
This Condo unit is nice with a great view but I was dissatisfied with that they did not mention that Destin had a Red Tide going on as I knew nothing about this and I got sick from this as all the locals talked about this I couldn't swim because of all the dead fish and brown water couldn't have the door open on deck or sit out on deck because of the bad air making me cough. I left early gave up the condo due to this but I am again dissatisfied with Gibson Beach rentals!! They should have mentioned this to guest coming to give them a chance to rebook their vacation but in the end it is all about money. I waisted my money for a horrible vacation and came home sick!!!! Also be aware when you rent these condos people may be doing remodeling and your trip may get ruined from hearing sawing and pounding nails and loud tools!!! This went on the whole time I was there that was another reason to leave I complained to but they never returned my call!!!"

"Great Vacation
The parking was great, right at the door! The Condo was so easy right off the elevator! The view was great!! The Condo was a great size the only problem was the furniture and decor. It was very dated and very dull! It would be a great condo with a brighter coat of paint and beachie furniture!! That is what everyone wants when they come to the beach!!!"

"Close to Perfect
The condo is unusual in its decor and we loved it....right on the Gulf with walls of windows we had the best view possible. Steps from the sand, pool and sun deck with a lovely balcony..depending on the weather always an option for outside living unless it was raining. It was quiet and easily accessible to elevator, Gibson office and car garage. We had a couple of maintenance needs that were addressed within a couple of hours after emailing Gibson."

"Lovely stay
We enjoyed our stay at Sandestin. The condo had a great view and all the amenities. Loved the common area and it has a restaurant and bar on site. The water was so clear and beautiful and the waves were fun to play in we loved being able to take a walk every day on the sidewalk along side the golf course.
Conveniently located with plenty of shopping and dining close by.
This is our 2nd time and we will be back.

"Great view! Nice condo, but next to public access.
Accommodations were fine. The shower/tub did not drain well, so you stood in water. View of beach was beautiful. However, there was public beach ramps on either side of the condo. I have never seen so many people. Even the public beach acces folks could rent the umbrellas and chairs, so those were 4 & 5 rows deep with people. Then add in all of the other beach chairs and various things the public beachers brought, and it was CROWDED. Overall, the condo is in a beautiful location. Decorated nicely. Great parking. Does not include beach chair rental or beach towels, where other condos do, but they do provide chairs you can take down to the beach. "

"Over crowded Beach
The unit was quite large and clean, but outdated furniture and very cluttered with too much furniture. The iron was very rusty and unable to use. The bathroom is very small with old tub. The Beach was extremely crowded, there are rows and rows of chairs for the vacationers they shuttle to the beach from BayTowne and the surrounding villas. It is impossible to find a path clear enough to even get to the water with all the people. However, the pool was very clean and nice. We stayed in the middle of June before the kick off of summer and it was so over crowded I wouldn't recommend staying here in the summer months."

"Great views, great service from GBR but condo is awful
GBP were great. Period. Fantastic staff and the activities a bonus. The particular unit, BS 4231, has wonderful views and is very quit. But that’s it. It is outdated, every cupboard door, every room door is chipped and peeling. The door to the laundry is broken literally falling off its hinges. The ceiling has a 2 square foot bare patch from an obvious leak that they’ve never repaired. The tub is rusted at the drain. The bathroom sink faucet is loose and rotates. Had to buy a zip tool to take gerbil-sized hair balls from both the tub and sink because they kept backing up and would not drain. Area rugs frayed and worn. Carpet in bedroom worn and buckled. The unit should have been half of what they charge. Again, the only redeeming quality are the views. Who ever owns this unit should be embarrassed to rent it out. Sell it if you can’t afford the upkeep. GBR are great but this is not up to their standards. "

"Romantic Getaway with a glitch !!!
The room was perfect other than a damp smell when you come in and the ceiling crack in the corner of the LV. The company was very professional and informative I loved doing business with them, other than not being able to use the new Xplorie card with free activities, I also didn't like that the beach front area was taken by vendors setting up chairs and umbrellas so you have to put yours out of the way unless you wanted to pay their price to use them. All in all it was a great experience I would still love to stay here again."

"A beautiful view in Destin!
Overall, a great trip. Very satisfied with Gibson rental company. The company called us when the unit was ready early. The check-in/out process seamless. The condo did not disappoint either. The view was incredible! There was only one very upsetting part of this trip and that was the company contracted to set up chairs/umbrellas for people who chose to pay for them. Each day was a fight with them. Even though the beach is public and we were out there with our chairs set up before they set up; they actually put a chair directly touching the back of my chair-they even moved another man's chair. When confronted, they said that we had to move our chairs because they had specific feet requirements on where to set up their chairs. We did not move! This ongoing battle combined with the already very overcrowded beach, will really weigh on our decision to go back here. Several people complained at the rental office. I think it's important that the property owners are aware that this is going on. They need to devise another method for setting up the chairs so that everyone is happy. "

The view was wonderful and the place was clean.
The living room furniture was very uncomfortable. The couch was not soft at all. There was no back support. The air conditioner made an annoying vibration in the bedroom vent.
The place needs an update on the table decor. Lots of lamps but no place to plug them in. The lighting was too low for reading anywhere.
Dishes and silverware was not very clean. Washer and dryer very loud."

2nd time to rent the same condo. We like to be able to see the east & west side without leaving the unit. Best restaurants: McGuires (go before 4:00 to get lunch prices & it is very busy at night), Broken Egg, & Donut Hole.
Stay away from Back Porch (over price, long wait & not very good). In addition to walking the beach, I like to walk to Bay Town (watch out for the bicycle riders)."

"Anniversary Getaway
This unit is by far the best available in Beachside II. The views from each direction allow you to see the sunrise and sunset. The Gibson app makes check in/out so easy. We are already planning to book this unit again in the summer."

"Beachfront 2 review
We enjoyed three weeks at this condo rental and overall enjoyed it with a great view and a lovely beach. There is no recycling facility on the property for paper nor bottles nor plastic which is terrible given the waste thrown down the chute. Sandestin needs to address this issue. The condo furniture could do with a bit of updating for occasional chairs which were rather worn out. Other than that, good supply of dishes, pots, pans, etc."

Wonder stay! Weather being perfect help! Staff helpful and sincerely pleasant. Fantastic location. Finally figured out no return air in master. No flat screen in Master. Was replaced on complaint by staff. (World series playoffs, go Cubs maybe next year). Very clean. Remember to take dish soap and counter spray and clothes washing powder. Need more practice. Would like comfortable balcony seating. Would definitely recommend this unit for 2. "

"Perfect View
The location of this condo was perfect for its views. Both east and west facing windows, as well as a south facing balcony, allowed us to see sunrises and sunsets from the comfort of the condo and its balcony. Being on the 3rd floor, the unit was high enough to see the ocean/beach over the dunes, but low enough that you felt like you were right on the beach. The pool area was nice and the water was the perfect temp.
The condo was clean. The furniture is in decent shape for a rental (albeit a little tacky, but that's subjective). The bed was comfortable. Gibson Rentals was easy to work with and responded to our clogged shower/tub drain quickly; but I'd recommend picking up some of your own items and not relying on those provided, depending on the length of your stay: shampoo/conditioner, soap, dish soap/detergent, toilet paper, laundry detergent, coffee. The coffee maker is a standard size, so even though the rental company provides 2 Folgers 4-cup packs, I'd recommend picking up your own filters and coffee. Our unit didn't have a bottle opener, so we picked up a cheap one and left it behind (hopefully it will be there for future guests :)). "

"Great location, great view, great resor-issue with management co.
We have spent at least a week at Sandestin every year for 12 years. The resort is perfect in every way, as are the condo accommodations. I have booked through numerous times with no issues, however this time we was different. When I initially called to make the booking the phone number on the website was disconnected (therefore I emailed them). After a 12 hour drive, I found that they did not provide a key code in order to enter the condo. All of the phone numbers to call were either disconnected or I had to leave a message. I called the emergency line twice, however was told they couldn’t help me. Finally after over 2 hours, I obtained a key code w/the help of Sandestin Concierge and contact again w/the emergency line. I didn’t receive a call until 2 days later (on Monday when Gibson was back in the office) asking if was ever able to gain access to the condo. I am amazed that no direct contact could be made with Gibson until 2 days later?! This was very frustrating after having a long drive, not being able to reach anyone w/multiple disconnected phone numbers, the office being closed, the emergency line not being able to contact anyone, and then the fact that Gibson had no idea that I couldn’t access the condo until they were back in the office 2 days later. I really love this condo and will stay at Sandestin many more times, unfortunately this started off as a bad experience."
