"Love Hawaii
So much fun"

"Good and bad
My experience with this rental was mixed. First the is an incredible location, right in town but also very private in a gated compound. It's located on a beautiful bay, with the water lapping the rocks just a few feet from the porch. It's a large home with a nice layout, large master bedroom downstairs, with a 2nd master bedroom upstairs. Bathrooms in each bedroom as well as a half bath downstairs. Well stocked kitchen and laundry. Lots of beach towels and other beach gear/coolers. Now the not sot others have reported the house is a little run down with some damaged sheetrock and other roughness around the edges. But, more importantly, the main AC unit when out a couple days into the rental and it took them 3 days to get it fixed. Luckily, the AC units in the bedrooms continued to work and so we were able to somewhat cool the living areas by cranking those units and keeping the doors open, but still, for close to $1000.00 a day, we should not have had to improvise. Still, it was a good trip, just know going into it that the house is a little rough around the edges. "

"Great family vacation
Beautiful home in gorgeous location. Can't beat the views, plenty of room for 6 of us. Some minor updating needed, but overall very nice property. "

"Close, but no cigar.
The view at this property was everything promised; just stunning. The condition was not quite up to expectations. We had chosen this house because previous reviews described it as spotless. It was OK, but not spotless. The kitchen was quirkily equipped; e.g. only two wine glasses and the gas grill did not reach enough heat to grill a steak. The location was good for driving/touring the island, but there is no good ocean swimming nearby and rather awful walking conditions. Final verdict: a fine rental for a large family or group, a little less than perfect for two persnickety (older) couples."

A great house, wonderful location and a very responsive management team. I highly recommend a stay here"

"Beautiful Location
Beautiful house on a perfect location. Views are outstanding! House needs updated things look like they are getting worn. New couches needed in the living room area and new mirrors in the master bathroom. But Regardless of these we totally enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend on end this house."

"A View of a Lifetime
This private home sit overlooking a beautiful section of the beach. It was a memorable experience to stay there. The home appears to have been constructed in the 80's or 90's and shows some signs of wear, but it is competitively priced compared to nearby homes. Be aware if you have any members of your group who are disabled that the home is not ADA compliant."

"Awesome view!
This open and airy home is very comfortable and has an amazing view! We spent a lot of time on the downstairs lanai, sitting in the comfy chairs, and listening to the tide. The tide was unusually high for this time of year. We were able to see (Property Management)s, dolphins (regular and spinner), yellow tangs, and a shark just from that vantage point! There were also see urchins on the rocks below, as well as black crabs in front of the house. This house is close to Kona and all of the shopping and restaurants you can imagine. It was very safe, as it is in a small gated community. The air conditioning units are a big plus. And the well-appointed kitchen has enough dishes, silverware, and pots and pans for a small army. Just bring your own coffee and some Kleenex if you need it and you are set!"

"Gorgeous view
This house is stunning. The front porch has the most spectacular view. Great location- within minutes of everything. Would definitely stay here again."

"Memorable week. My family loved the location and was comfortable
Description was accurate.
Location was beyond expectation.
Clean, well stocked.
Didn't need any added services.
Sitting on the lanai was a spectacular drama of waves and occasional surfers to watch. "

"A 10 star location - outstanding views, wonderful house!!
This is by far the best property ever!. The pictures don't do it justice, it is even better!! The kitchen was well appointed. There are really 2 master bedrooms, and there is AC, even though you really don't need it because of the cross breezes. There are 2 huge lanis, and the views are outstanding. We stayed at the house instead of going out because it was such a wonderful location. Can't say enough nice things about it. Property manager was very responsive. Only suggestion would be to add soap to the showers. House was spotless. We don't want to stay anyplace else when in Kona; this place is truly the best."

"Kona Beach House Review
Excellent location on the ocean with incredible views. Even though the house is just off the very busy Ali'i Drive, once inside the small community and house, the environment was very quiet and private. House had everything we needed. Lanai was spectacular. Furniture and bathrooms need a bit of updating. Didn't see anyone else at the convenient neighborhood pool until our last day."

"Great house, spectacular location
This place worked perfectly for our group. It's close to all of the Kona attractions but still in a quiet and relaxing neighborhood. The ocean views are incredible. House itself was in great condition and met all of our needs. AC was great, and necessary. Definitely recommend."

"Kona Vacation October 2021
Excellent. Great location. Clean and well maintained. Good customer service, very responsive. Would recommend to a friend or family. Unfortunately the Ironman race was canceled, but there is still great swimming in the Bay, biking on Queen K, running on Alii Drive, and golf, especially at Mauna Kea. Awesome hiking at Waimanu valley. Great sushi, Chinese and Thai restaurants. And Lava Java. This is my fourth stay at this home. I have reservations for two stays next year, so far. "

"Ali'i Point #5
We stayed 8 days at this house and loved every single minute of it! The booking process with Wayne was very smooth. The view from the house was cocoa bananas, location is smack dab in the middle of everything and there is so much room to spread out in the house. Guided fishing trip, snorkeling, turtles, surfing, shaved ice, waterfalls and star gazing. We love to cook and thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen. So many meals with all the local fresh fish and fruits, sunrises with coffee, double rainbows, and many evening games on the lanai. A wonderful, wonderful vacation indeed, and we can't wait to book this house again! Mahalo plenty !!"

"Fantastic Kona Beach House
We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a great house with lots of space and a wonderful location. The house is well stocked with beach towels, chairs, umbrella, and snorkeling gear. The beds were comfortable and it was wonderful waking up to the sound of the waves and a 180degree view of the bay."

"The Six Best Friends
We six call ourselves the six best friends. Our 2020 trip to Kona was our 7th straight year on the islands, three on Kauai and three on Maui. Ali'i Point #5 far exceeded our expectations. The comfort of the home, the fabulous view and the location was fantastic to enjoy Kona for 8 nights. We plan to return."

"Paradise in Kona
We loved our stay at this property. The location and the house were great - exactly as the pictures showed. But the best part of the property is the lanai/patio. We spent more time out there then anywhere else - right on the water....surfers, fisherman, turtles every day. Just perfect and so relaxing!"
May 13, 2019 - Jennifer H., San Francisco, CA

"Fabulous Week
My husband and I took our grown daughter and son to the Big Island for a week, thinking that as they grow out of school and deeper into their jobs and personal friendships, our family vacation opportunities will become scarce. Ali'i Point #5 was all we could ask for -- stunning views, spacious lanai and screened dining room, fully equipped kitchen (we all like to cook), more than enough space for group gatherings and personal privacy, and proximity to Kona, beaches, snorkeling and hiking opportunities and other points of interest."
Jan 19, 2019 - Kathleen M., Charlotte, NC

"Best view and location EVER!
Amazing! AC works great. 180 degree view with two picture perfect palm trees in front. All 3 beds comfy. Cute private community. Best ribs ever across the street at the outdoor market. 5 minutes from town. 7 minutes from Safeway, Walmart. 15-20 minutes to airport. Tons of beach towels. 6 chairs. Had only one umbrella but the one we had was appreciated. Super short walk to the pool. My husband had no interest in going to kona and only went to please me. Now, he can’t wait to go back... but only if we stay at this house. The view and location can’t be beat. Two thumbs up!"

"Nice home in kona
Beautiful view, ocean front. Not kid friendly access to swimming but can go out on the rocks and see some fast crabs. Does not replace a day at the beach though. The front gate was an inconvenience for coming in every time and taking out the trash. Athough the bathrooms were a little dated the unit was clean and in good condition."

"Ali'i point
A very beautiful location. The house is right on the water and had surfers out daily. The deck was large and very functional. The property was also close to town. The house was also nicely laid out. However, an information packet describing the details of the house and what the various keys were used for would have been helpful. Overall, a very quiet and enjoyable place."
