Kona Makai #4-306 is a excellent, very spacious condo for your Hawaii Vacation! Rarely are there 2 bedroom units with the loft being the Third Bonus Bedroom! Being the top floor corner in building 4, the location is truly wonderful! A great option for 6 people. The amazing wrap around lanai is truly stunning, with those Ocean Views!

Immediately upon walking in you'll appreciate soaring open beam ceilings, truly makes the space feel large. 1148 interior square feet, with an additional 449 square foot lanai. Wow, lots of space!

Enjoy a Fully Equipped Kitchen, nice and spacious your meals! Bar Stools Available for Countertop dining too!

The Lanai is where one will spend lots of time either outdoor dining, or enjoying relaxation time!

Enjoy Air Conditioning Wall units in the Living Room & Both Main Floor Bedrooms. There is no AC in the Loft 3rd bedroom as an FYI, but there are ceiling fans, and a window for the breeze to come through!

The Primary Master bedroom has ocean views and access to the Lanai. King Sized Bed, comfortable mattress, and beautiful furnishings.

The Guest bedroom also has access to their own lanai, and enjoy views towards the Tennis courts from here. Queen Sized Bed in the 2nd Bedroom.

The Loft Bedroom has a Full Sized Bed.

Both bathrooms are spacious on the Main Level.

The Kona Makai complex is a beautifully maintained & highly sought after Ocean Front Complex located on famous Alii Drive, just 1.3 miles from Kona town. This wonderful complex features and includes beautifully manicured tropical grounds, ocean front pool and spa, sunny lounge area, two work out rooms, eating area w/ gas BBQ’s, tennis courts, ping pong table, ample parking, and is gated during the night for security.

Please note this is a top floor unit, being the third floor, and there is no Elevator.

*Starting July 22nd Kona Makai will be starting the exterior painting project on Building 4.
Currently they are estimating between 1.5 - 2 Months to complete each building for this work.
Their current order for the painting of the buildings mentioned below with the possible affected dates.
Building 4 7/22 - 9-22
Building 5 9/22 - 11/22
Building 3 11/22 - 1/22
The painting and spalling contractor has agreed to take a break from work for Ironman and the Christmas holidays. Work will stop from October 21st-29th for Ironman. Work will stop from December 23rd- January 3rd for the Holidays
All dates are subject to change and has no say or control in if dates are changed. Dates are given by the complex's hired painting vendor.
The mentioned work will be affecting access to units at possible given times between the work being done on the building. Kona Makai will be sending notices of more specific dates that access will be affected between work hours. We unfortunately cannot provide any given dates for this. Other areas such as lanai access will be affected during times as well. Furthermore the AC will also not be allowed during specific times/dates when the work is going on.
Noise and obstructed views are also to be expected between the dates mentioned.
Spalling repairs are to commence at Kona Makai on Building 1, 2, & 3. The scheduled dates for this are September. Their is currently no completion time for this project.*

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

"Great experience!
We stayed here for 5 nights during a recent visit to Hawaii for a friend's wedding. The location is very conveniently located a few minutes drive from downtown Kona, and the condo area felt safe and was quiet. There is access to the ocean, which you can easily walk to. We would definitely recommend booking here!"

"Kona Makai 4-306 Review
The unit was the perfect size for the 5 of us, had everything we needed and was clean. We have family that live literally 5-10 minutes away so not only was it close to them, it's also conveniently located close to shops/restaurants/beaches so we could play tourists. We had a great experience with the property manager who responded quickly to a leaky faucet. They sent someone out right away and our vacation time/plans were not interrupted at all. We look forward to our future stays here!"

"Overall nice rental
Good location in a quiet condo complex.

We had a few issues, The A/C unit in the living room just stopped working one night. It was fixed the next day but it was an uncomfortable day since it happened on the one day we were staying in. We also found a dead cockroach in one of the bedrooms and there were cleaners that pressure washed the deck while we were there and came back to find the cleaners had entered the condo through the sliding door and placed several pieces of furniture inside and never put them back. We weren't sure if they were done or not before we checked out.

I understand the the maintenance happened earlier than expected and it wasn't like anything was taken but I have to mark off a couple of stars due to the unprofessionalism of the crew entering the condo while we were away."

"Aloha awaits
The whole experience, to include the booking process, the local management, price, logistics, and apartment all met or exceeded expectations. I needed assistance with the door code because of a mistake I made and the mgt company responded in minutes. The apartment is spacious, nicely decorated, and offers a lot of towels and misc items for the beach. There are only steps to get to third floor which didn’t bother us and the views are worth it. The common shared areas offer tennis courts, pool, grills and great views of ocean. I would stay there again if ever back in Kona. "
