Kona Magic Sands#213 is a DIRECT oceanfront, 2nd floor condo that is meticulously maintained, beautifully furnished, and has absolutely anything any guest could dream of. Wifi, beach gear, linens, dishes you name it, the condo has it!

This 2nd floor condo has such a beautiful view! Wake up to the ocean, hear the waves. Great whale watching during the winter months!
Immediately upon walking in, you'll notice a well appointed mini kitchen that has a stove, sink, fridge and fully stocked with dishes. The bathroom has a walk in shower for you.

In the living area, there's a sitting area if you want to get some R&R watching TV. There's a small dining area as well by the Queen Sized Bed. This is an incredible option for 1 or 2 people looking to be direct beach front.

Kona Magic Sands is the only beachfront condominium complex in Kona. Enjoy an oceanfront pool there as well! There's a restaurant on site called Magics Grill as well!
Laundry use is available in the complex, which is a shared common area.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations made ninety (90) days or more prior to arrival shall not be responsible for the final balance of the reservation. The $200 deposit made at the time of booking is non refundable after the booking is made. Cancellations of less than ninety (90) days prior to arrival shall forfeit the entire rent and excise tax (less cleaning fees) unless we are able to re-rent the property. Refunds on any forfeiture will be issued the dollar value the unit is re-rented for during the same dates as the canceled reservation. There is no refund for early departure or no shows.

Beautiful ocean front view overlooking magic sands beach. Only a one minute walk to magic sands beach, where we were lucky enough to swim with dolphins and spot sea turtles.
The room had everything we needed and the bed was extra comfortable.

Everything we had hoped for and more! The view was amazing, the beach next door was beautiful and there was plenty of beach gear provided to keep us occupied all week. "Fabulous Oceanfront Rental
Absolutely loved our stay at this property.
Communication was excellent with confirmation, check in instructions and property info.
The unit was spotless and very comfortable.
You cannot beat the view. Loved falling asleep to the crashing waves.
We loved having the beach chairs and umbrella. It was so nice to be able to walk to Magic Sands beach nextdoor.

"KONA MAGIC SANDS UNIT #213
When we arrived at our Unit we were very disappointed, it does not look like the pictures posted. The Unit was clean except for the stained carpet, it definitely needs some TLC!!! It needs new linen’s, towels and the medicine cabinet needs to be replaced.
The location is wonderful, having Magic Sands Beach and the restaurant next door was very nice. We especially enjoyed the amazing view and the sound of the waves crashing right in front of our Unit.

"Perfect Studio by the Sea
The building is older and the floor slopes where it seems they made the lanai into a bed nook. Perfect sunsets and rainbows, crashing waves. There's a snorkeling beach next door and better one a couple of miles away. Very fully furnished kitchen. TKA Grocery store nearby with very fresh poke and produce. Snorkel gear, beach chair and umbrella were very useful. Would definitely stay here again."

"Magic Sands Condo
The location was good and the condo was nice except we got very little sleep because you can hear the waves crashing 24/7. Other units have sound proof sliding doors so you can't hear the waves breaking on the rocks."

"Great spot to stay
The room was good as expected from the pictures etc. You can watch some amazing sunsets from the window.
It's also right by the Magic Grill, for which you get a 10% discount of food with your room key. They did great food and drink, which you can consume looking out over the beach/sea.
Nothing else walking distance, but it's only a 10 minute drive/taxi to Kailua Kona.
If you stay in for an evening there's a very basic kitchen and a modern TV so you can login to any major service like netflix, etc.
Be aware the windows aren't very soundproof, so the sea is quite loud at night. If that's not your thing, definitely bring earplugs."

"Wonderful view, but...
This condo has probably the best view of any place we've stayed in. It was awesome to see spinner dolphins jumping and yellow tangs coming in on the surf in the morning--and right underneath us! Sunsets were magnificent and there was no need for us to go out to a view place for drinks. We bought ingredients for our drinks and enjoyed the view from our room. On the other hand, the condo could use some major updates. First, the bed (a small one for two people) sits on what used to be the balcony and the floor tips, thus making the bed tilt to the right side. One of us used the hide-a-bed, which felt, well, like a hide-a-bed with about 30 years of wear. Second, there is no air conditioning. We were there in February, and even then it was warm and stuffy without the windows open. There are louvered windows above the door and in the bathroom to let in air. Unfortunately, they also let in noise (even when closed). And noise there was! The condo fronts on a main 2-lane street and seems to be a thoroughfare for trucks and "hot cars" with no mufflers. Many are headed to next-door Magic Sands Beach, which is popular with surfers, b. boarders and people who want to loudly socialize day and night. In the early morning the landscape people start their blowers (right after 7 am). There is a restaurant with decent food and a beach bar next-door as well. Note there are three stories and no elevators. Recommended, but only for the view!"

"Magic Sands #213
We stayed at Magic Sands #213. Condo was small but for just the two of us it was fine. This condo is a ocean front property with large sliding glass doors and screen doors to keep open all night for your wave listening pleasure. The ocean views/sunsets did not disappoint. Full kitchen accessories with well stocked kitchenware, coffeemaker, toaster, and mixer. Bathroom was adequate but nothing over the top. Could use some updating but all in all it’s a decent place to hang for the week. Condo came with beach chairs, snorkel gear, and a cooler which was perfect for our beach hopping. We left a beach umbrella for future guests. There is a swimming pool and a small beach next to the condo. There is also a decent restaurant and cafe as well. No issues and we would return for a second go around. Good location being just a bit south of old town Kailua, Kona. "

"A perfect week
The rental location is absolutely perfect. The ocean views and sunsets make the rental amazing. Listening to the waves at night. Knutson and Associates were beyond accommodating. They called to welcome me and also dropped off some things they thought I may need. The kitchen is equipped to do light meals in. Although some furniture dated; the condo was clean and absolutely worth every penny. A beach next door was ideal, hourly bike rental location across the street if you are up for a bike to the more popular shopping area, and most of my snorkeling was in a 15 min drive. When I come to the Big Island this will be my go to place."

Overall, it was a great experience. But if you are planning to use this place to stay, they have moved the furniture around, so don't be surprised. They have a couple of new couches, but an old worn ottoman (hope they replace it. Otherwise, the place was exactly as portrayed, but the view is even more fantastic than the pics show."

"Outstanding Condo in Beloved Kona Magic Sands Hotel ��
South Kona beckons and this condo is an outstanding base to start your adventures from. You cannot rent any closer to the waves of Magic Sands Beach and if staying local most everything you need is in walking distance or a bike ride away (bike share rental across the street). The Kona Magic Sands is a beloved place to stay by many over the decades. This particular condo is right above the surf ... the floor to ceiling sliding doors bring in the colors and sounds of the waves and ocean ... you can even see the fish swimming in front and whales breaching offshore in the winter months. Condo is well appointed with kitchen and cooking ware. It has a cozy living room and super comfortable queen bed right at waters edge. There is a little desk area if you bring your work and also a dining table to eat your meals while enjoying the view. And again ... location! This condo is right next to best bodysurfing beach on Big Island. And after you surf you can have a delicious meal at Magic’s Grill located in the Kona Magic Sands building. Thank you again!"

"Not so good!
I've stayed in other units of this property over the past few years and this unit a word...TIRED!! The over stuffed chair reminds me of my college days. Arms are worn through and stuffing is coming out. When I removed the sheets on the bed when checking out I found blood stains and the mattress cover was yellowed from all the many people sleeping there. The cleaners were less than compitent sand and dirt in the corners of the bathroom and a rug that looked like a mange infected dog. Let's just say someone needs to get this place back in shape. If they charged the amount of a motel 6 I guess I could look the other way. Can you say...disappointed!"
