The Southern Serenity Cottage has been completely redesigned this year by the famous local design firm Tracery Interiors. It is gorgeous and you will love it!

On the western end of our quaint coastal town lies Southern Serenity Cottage, a home perfect for a large family or group couples getaway. The West Indies inspired architecture is quintessential Rosemary Beach style, and its comfortable interior will make you feel right at home.

The first floor features the sleeping quarters including a guest room with King bed and second guest room with Queen bed joined by a Jack and Jill full bath. The master bedroom has a comfortable King bed and its own private bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, granite countertops and walk in closet. Each of the bedrooms has their own flat screen TV including the bonus third story closed-in loft with private bath, bunk bed, and separate twin bed - perfect for kids and late night story telling.

The main living floor on the second story boasts an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and multiple private balconies making this an easy space for entertaining many guests. Watch your favorite game on the oversized flat screen TV with surround sound, nestle by the fireplace, or get comfy at the game table while trying your hand at chess. Also on the main floor is the kitchen featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and dining area to accommodate six plus nearby circular table accommodating up to four. After dinner head outside for some fresh air on the shuttered balcony overlooking your own private courtyard.

"Perfect spot!
You can not beat the location if you want to be in Rosemary! Quick walk to two pools and a short walk to the beach. Kids bunks are on the top floor with the kitchen and living space on the 2nd and 3 bedrooms on the bottom floor where you walk in. "

"Perfect Spring Break
We loved this house for our Spring Break. It is close to everything! The kids loved the pool and we had it heated for the week which made it perfect. The beds were all very comfortable and kitchen is well stocked. The fireplace was a bonus that we didn’t realize we would enjoy so much for those cool nights."

We had a wonderful time -the home is beautiful and accommodating -great ice maker and nice new pans-kitchen well stocked. Only minor improvement would be one of the spare bedroom beds is very hard and uncomfortable -all the other beds were 100 tho. Very clean. Easy easy check out -no linen duties which was very nice. "

"Great place
We loved this house. The pool was fantastic. The tv in the secondary King bedroom did not work. Both king mattresses probably need to be replaced, but were fairly comfortable. The biggest stressor was keeping up with the 3 beach passes; I miss the old 4 digit code system to access the beach walkover gates. There is picture hanging hardware on the wall over the bed in the main king room, but no picture or art. What happened to that piece? You might want to get the exterminator in there as we saw a couple of big roaches. The Sonos system is dificult since I was not able to play my own music on it. In general, we really liked this house and would go there again"

"Good Trip
We had a decent stay at this rental, but it was our least favorite house we've stayed at in 30A - it's good but it's not great (and when paying Rosemary prices, I'm looking for great). We probably would not choose to stay at this one again but had a good trip overall.

Location: it is super close to the beach and the town square, which is awesome! There is not a lot of privacy, though, as the front overlooks a busy walking street and there are like 6 houses that have balconies overlooking the backyard.

-House itself: layout was great (bedrooms on ground floor, living space/kitchen on second, bunk room on third) but the house is very loud and you can hear everybody's movement. The appliances are mediocre (notable compared to luxury appliances in other rentals in Rosemary). Beds are very comfortable and there are ceiling fans in all the downstairs bedrooms. Living area space is nice and spacious and, if you have young kids, there is room to easily move the coffee table to the side to create a nice play space. Pool is fantastic - gets good shade and sun, fun size, nice depth, etc. Biggest annoyance is that there is no comfortable outdoor furniture - it's all hard, wooden uncomfortable furniture. Why no comfortable pool loungers? There's a huge beautiful covered deck off the second story of the house and there are just two hard wooden chairs on it - such a missed opportunity for a comfortable, cozy outdoor lounge space.

Management company is great - super responsive and easy to communicate with. "

"Magical Mother daughter getaway on 30A - July 22
This is an incredible home with all of the amenities you would want for a beach vacation. The home was clean, beds & pillows were all very high quality! 2 blocks from the beautiful private beach and centrally located between restaurants and shops! Perfect private home pool too! Could use a few throw blankets, better storage in bunk room along with ceiling fan & loungers by the pool (just a few suggestions) but extremely Happy with our stay. Loved having the 4 bikes and it’s a magical community. Bonus to have the ice maker and kitchen is nicely stocked!! Management company was very quick to respond with any questions we had and very friendly!! Vacay was 10/10. Definitely will come back!! "

The home is in a great location in Rosemary beach. very close walk to shopping, restaurants, beach and community pool which was very beautiful and clean. The house had enough amenities to make it work out. We cooked most meals at home. The 3rd floor was warm and they came to install a separate AC in the top floor.We had a small party so we all stayed in the ground floor bedroom suits. The floors were dirty (dusty) when we arrived to the point my wife bought a wet mop and cleaned the place on day 1. But aside from that we were pretty happy. Make sure you read the instructions on how to use the TV, they actually came out and walked us through it. The management team was very good and quick. I have no complaints about them. You will love the location. There was a great farmers market just a few feet from the home on sunday AM and that is very convenient for stocking up. There are several Publix grocery a few min drive away. The beach was not too crowed. So overall, this is a great community to stay and the house was just fine. We loved Pescado's restaurant but make reservations early.

Bikes are nice, we had to rent 2 more to fill our needs. We did not bike alot but it was helpful -------"

"Great house and great location
This was a great house! Was the first time to 30a and loved the location of the home. It was easy to get to the beach, but liked that it was across 30a for less noise. It was a very clean home and everything was updated. The only negative thing I could say is that it was very difficult to regulate the temp in the kids bunk room. It was warm most of the week, maybe a fan would help or something. Also, I wish the kitchen had more utensils and kitchen items (Im sure its difficult to keep up with those things). Loved that the garage was fully equipped with beach supplies and the bikes were very useful. Bring a bike pump, we found most of the bike tires were very low, we had one and blew them up easily. It was wonderful to have a private pool, especially during COVID. We would recommend staying here and we would stay here again. "

"Red Roof Inn Experience at Ritz Carlton Price
First of all, I'd like to say the home itself is very nice. All of the issues we had I believe are management related. Upon arrival, 2 of the bathroom trashcans were full of trash, there was food debris all over the counters and there was sand and dirt all over the kitchen floor. Not a very sanitary environment in the midst of a pandemic right? In their defense-they sent the cleaning crew back out, but only after the person who took the call said: "So what do you want me to do, send someone out to clean up the crumbs?" We were told not to use the tub in master and the dishwasher didn't work and would be replaced which it eventually was. Maybe it just started out wrong when I opened the top drawer in bedroom dresser to find a slimy tube of KY jelly.
For $10k a week, it was unacceptable. This crew should be in Destin running a shady motel."

"Decent experience
We had a group of 9 people that stayed in the Southern Serenity Cottage. The location was ideal as it was close to the amenities we enjoyed (beach, Alys, bike rentals, restaurants, shops, etc.)

However, the house was extremely noisy and you could hear every footstep. When some were trying to sleep, it was rather difficult as you could hear when others would walk on the floors above.

Also, our dishwasher broke on day one. It was extremely inconvenient as we had to hand wash dishes for 9 people, 3 meals a day. The dishwasher wasn't fixed until our last night there.

Loved the location of this home. Interior was perfectly clean and suited for our group of 6. Comfortable furniture for kids. Outside landscaping and decks need some TLC. Kitchen needs some additional basic cooking tools, like strainer and whisk. Bikes which come with the rental are a great perk. "

"Beautiful beach house
We really enjoyed our stay at Southern Serenity Cottage. The location was good — close to shops and restaurants and a short stroll to the beach walkover. After years of visiting, we’ve decided that the fall season is the best time to come to Rosemary. Ocean temperatures are perfect, and we had sunny weather each day. The house has three nice bedrooms on the ground floor, a spacious living area on the second floor with balconies in the front and back, and a cozy third floor bedroom with twin beds. The pool in back, with an adjoining eating area, was an added bonus! We have rented from several times and really appreciate their wonderful service — everything is taken care of and questions are answered promptly. Thanks for another relaxing beach vacation!"

Based on other homes I have rented in Rosemary Beach, this was by far one of the worst. The house was not clean, sand everywhere, dirty sink in master bath and boxers underneath one of the twin beds upstairs. Kitchen amenities were just fair."

"Spring break
We had a lovely stay at Southern Serenity for spring break. The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and playing in the backyard. One of the downsides was the floors were very dirty. Within 10 minutes of walking around after taking a shower our feet were black on the bottom. I think the whole place needs the floors cleaned and a good deep cleaning in the kitchen and bathrooms as well. "

"Wonderful Stay
Fantastic Super Bowl and birthday weekend for our family. This is a lovely, well appointed and clean vacation home. It is in a wonderful location a couple of blocks from the beach and town center. It had almost everything you would need and 4 beach bikes. Every room had 2 sets of towels and plenty of shampoo, TP, hair dryer, extra pillows etc. The kitchen included dish soap, paper towels, dish towels, trash bags, starter coffee for Mr. Coffee and for us adequate dish ware and cookware.
There are TV’s in every room, a working Fireplace and 65” TV in great room. We did encounter TV “freezing” up a lot. I paid extra for the pool to be heated but it wasn’t warm enough to use till the day we left.🙁.
There are very steep steps inside if that is an issue. Also all houses that rent have a pool alarm (good to know). I think the great room could use another otterman or floor pillows. Overall I think this is a very nice rental. "

"Disappointing
Not good. We chose this house primarily for the heated pool for our 3 and 1 year old grandchildren over Thanksgiving. I callled ahead to have the pool heated. We arrived and the pool heater was not working and it was not fixed the entire time we were there. There were TV issues, fireplace issues and the kitchen was sparsely equipped. I felt that we arrived at the end of the season so what got all of the problems that had been accumulating over the season."

"Perfect Rental!! Very short walk to beach and pool.
Home was just as pictured with no surprises. Two families of four with toddlers, and had plenty of space and privacy during the stay. Short walk to the community pool and beach, maybe 2-3 minutes with our 1 yo's in a stroller and 3 yos walking. I actually liked our location as we were closer to all restaurants and outdoor market area. Management Company provided customer service during stay. Rarely used the pool at our property but great to have that option. No complaints! "

"Fun winter getaway
Had a wonderful experience for a long weekend in February. House had everything we needed and more. Even had coffee, creamer, and paper towels to get us through the first day. Close to everything and great layout for a family. Heated pool was a fabulous addition when we didn't want to go to the community pools. Only recommendation would be that it would help to have a manual to work the remote for the television, but might be easier to those familiar. Overall, wonderful experience and hope to return this summer!"
