"Good and not so good
Our family of 7 stayed here for our vacation. There were some great things about this place, and some not so great things.
The postives:
Great location on the island. Great location next to the pool, which was never too loud or overcrowded.
Plenty of beds to accommodate our large family.
All the kitchen utensils you could ever need.
New, efficient washer/dryer.
Full bathrooms attached to each bedroom and a half bath.
Designated parking spots for 2 cars.
The negatives:
Upon arrival there was used cotton swabs left on the bathroom floor and counter. A half used roll of toilet paper was still on. These were not issues that we felt warranted a call to the cleaning crew. We just threw them away, but it was kind of gross to come in to used toiletries.
There were also some towels left out that did not seem like they were cleaned very well. Again, not a huge issue, we just put that one to the side and used the other towels.
The trash can in the kitchen could definitely stand to be cleaned. The inside of it was full of spills and smelled awful upon our arrival. I know trashcans get dirty, but this one could use a good bleaching.
While there were plenty of bathrooms, the shower heads could use a major update. They did provide what seemed like an infinite supply of hot water, which was great. What they did not provide was any water pressure. I think these were installed when this place was built.
We greatly appreciated how many beds were in this villa. What left a lot to be desired were the mattresses on them. Our entire family, kids included, spent the week with sore necks and backs. No one got good rest because the mattresses are awful. Even the mattress on the mini crib, which we were extremely grateful for, was terrible.
So, overall, this place provided adequate space for our large family and had a great location. We didn't mind that it was a somewhat older unit, but it could use some updates and more attention t"

"Great location
It was a great stay, but place needs some updating. It was pretty clean, but no one cleans like they should for new guest. Dust on the ceiling fans, dirt under the furniture."

"Nice Location
This property was in a good location. It is close to the very nice pool and easy access to the beach. There were plenty of beds for our family. We enjoyed our stay. The only issue was getting warm/hot water in the master bath. We had to run water at least 3-4 minutes before we would start to get any warm water. We first thought we did not have any hot water but ran it long enough to finally get the warm/hot water. "

"Wonderful townhouse in a great area
The townhouse was very clean and furnished well. It was located in a great area close to the beach. Townhouse had a great pool area that wa very close to our rental unit. "

"A great retreat
This unit is in a great location. We rented it for our daughter and we were nearby in Evian. The layout was wonderful and just a couple minutes by bike to the beach. With a large covered front porch, and a screened back porch, a deck and balconies off the bedrooms, it was a great layout. The cozy breakfast table and dinning room were just right. The desk area in the kitchen was useful. Will definitely consider it again.

"302Tenismaster Spring vacation
The rental was in a great location. Lots of room. Sea turtle staff were very helpful and easily accessible. The unit,(kitchen, bathrooms, and showers are in need of updating. The kitchen cabinets need repair. There were plenty of dishes and utensils. We were there for a month and could have used more linens. Outdoor furniture was dirty and we cleaned them up. Rainspouts need cleaning. Also, you are able to hear the people in the neighboring units. Would recommend if updated."

"Hilton Head Condo
The condo was in good shape but the hot water in the master bath didn't work and there was some mold on the vents but other than that it was a great place. We really enjoyed it."

"What a Disappointment
(Property Management) are aware that we were not happy with this unit. It's not what it appears to be. The unit was so dirty that I had to clean it with Lysol and Bleach. The oven looks like it's never been cleaned. The master bath had mold. The sofa was covered in sand. There is more that I could add, but I think you'll get the idea."

"It was OK
It was ok, except we didn't know pool was closed, air conditioner was scheduled to be replaced our last morning in the unit and we were woken up by the door bell and them working (and we were not notified about it), the townhouse we stayed in was ok, outdated a little and the sliding doors didn't lock very well (took numerous attempts to get them to lock each time we opened them) and lastly, not very many glasses for drinking (there were 4 wime glasses a a few others in a home for 10 people)"

"Lovely stay
Our stay in the villa was very nice! Location was great! The only reason I gave 3 stars was due to the lack of kitchen silverware, dishes, glasses, ect the villa could be better stocked"

"Would not stay again
Location was too far from the beach. The condo was not clean and we had to smell the previous renters trash for the entire week because trash pick up occurs the day before check out. "

"HHI 2021 Vacation
The overall vacation rental was fantastic. The unit was very clean and very accessible to the beach. My only suggestion would to provide more towels/washcloths and maybe a few extra blankets. "

"Vacation Getaway
We like the space but was very dissatisfied it took the water so long to heat up in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. This is inexcusable. It could be a better stocked in the kitchen. We were also shocked the fridge didn't have an icemaker. The entrance and back deck were not clean."

"Tennismaster in Shipyard
This was a 3-month rental for myself and two family members. The location was convenient with adequate parking and near the pool, although we didn't get much use of it due to Covid 19!
The villa did not appear to be thoroughly is an older unit and definitely is showing its age. The porch furniture is badly stained and has tears in the fabric. Upon moving in, several repairs and replacements had to be made, including the washer and dryer, hand mixer, blender, dish washer, closet doors, screen door, etc.
With all these issues, (Property Management) was amazing. The service and maintenance they provided was instantaneous and excellent. I would certainly recommend them and would book through them again. If the villa could undergo an updating and a new look it would be much improved."

"If you like dirt and cockroaches, then this is the place for you!
Condo was dirty upon arrival. Spent 3 hrs cleaning. Vacuum belt broken so who knows when the last time it sucked anything up. Unknown pills found on upstairs br floor and on shelf in master br. Management had to bring new vaccum and when we ran it, it was half full. Towel bar was broken off wall in master bath and left in cabinet. 2 of the toilets ran all the time. Maintenance came the first day to fix the one toilet, but then the other 2 started with issues. 3 cockroaches were seen on the morning of departure, since we were up so early that day. I would post pics, but I can't on here. Take my word for it...run away!"

"Location & Size a plus
The condo is a great size for five of us - plenty of space. The screened in porch was great to enjoy day or evening. I was pleasantly surprised at the noise level as I was concerned going in. You can hear the ones next to you (if you have loud neighbors) but generally speaking it was nice. Great location within complex as the pool is out the back door. There were a few light bulbs that needed changing but nothing critical. Screen door to patio could use some WD40 or tuneup. Overall this was a fine rental."

"Disappointing Unit
Very disappointed in the unit. Many things not working. Lite in laundry hanging by one screw. Musty smell. Decks covered with mildew and mold.
Dirty laundry in washer. Dirty dishes in dishwasher. Pots and pans dirty and dented. Unit needs a total cleaning and many repairs. Shelf in Freezer rusted. "

"Nice Resort
Before I rented this condo I asked how far was the condo from the beach I was told 7 minutes walk which isn’t true it’s 25 morning mutes walk.
Very disappointed I wanted a place closer to the beach.
Lamps and tables were dusty, Needed a hair dryer and Didn’t find one. "

"Hilton Head Wedding
We needed a place to stay for a Destination Wedding at Shipyard.Location was excellent. Loved the beach chairs that were supplied by the host.

"Great vacation
Overall our stay was great. I wish they had a gas grill not just a charcoal one. The rental had a lot of sand on the floors when we arrived that made it difficult to go without shoes. I am use to the dishes in the dishwasher being put away upon arrival, did not like having to unload it for us to have glasses and silverware to use"

"In need of repair
The resort complex was what we expected: not brand new but well maintained. The unit we stayed in, 302 Tennismaster was another thing. Every ceiling in the unit was water damaged and pealing. This was not new damage. Dead roaches on the floor when we walked in. The bathrooms were not clean. We had to clean the tubs before we used them. The beds and furniture smelled of mildew to the point it was hard to sleep at night. "

"Top Notch Vacation Spot!
We had a terrific vacation with our family this year as we stayed at Tennismaster 302 on Hilton Head Island. The townhouse was very clean and up-to-date with easy bike ride to the beach. Pool was a few steps away and we loved the screened in back porch. "

"Great location, townhouse needs some work
We have stayed in Tennis Master for the last 5 years. This was our first stay at this home. We always get a three bedroom that backs up to the pool. This is a great location but this townhouse needs a few upgrades; starting with the master bed. The mattress is thin and horrible. The bedding was dated and pillows were plastic covered and flat. There are few pots/pans/serving bowls. The cleaning crew didn't appear to have done more than a basic clean throughout. It's time for a deep clean. Lastly, when a family goes on vacation I don't think they should be expected to purchase all cleaning supplies. I'm sure previous families have and the crew takes them versus leaving them so the counters, sinks, tables can be wiped down. All in all, I would give this condo a 2.5 out of 5 stars. We probably will not stay - considering we paid over $2400 for the week and family a few doors down were about $500 less. "

"Great Stay
We were very happy with the town home, It was very clean and comfortable, we would highly recommend this place. iIt was close to the pool and beach,. And we were very surprised on how roomy it was ,it was very comfortable for all of our 9 family members . Thank you for letting us rent your townhouse for a week !!!"

"Last Minute Booking
This was a last minute booking on a holiday weekend, and it was one of the only units left, and the pics were ok, but not great, so I was skeptical. However, when we got there, we were pleasantly surprised. The area was great, bikes delivered to our door, unit was very roomy and clean, and the staff were great to work with. We loved the pool area, and the beach was close enough to ride bikes or walk. Overall, we were very please in every way! One small remote in living room was a little challenging:)"

"Nice - with a few bumps.....
We had a great stay in Tennismaster last year (different unit) so we tried again. The furniture in this unit was nicer, as was the layout of the bedrooms. In 2016, we had an end unit. In 2017, we learned how thin the walls are between units! Was typically woken up by crying children in other units in the am. Also a few maintenance issues. The handle on the 1st floor bedroom sliding door literally fell off the first time we opened it. Half inside, half outside! I had a screwdriver, so I just reattached it. We had massive storms for two days, and now I understand the 1st floor water damaged ceilings. Water was coming in heavy in the master bath, via the light bar and drenching the items on the counter. Also, we had used the dryer for laundry, and the kitchen was getting really hot. I checked the side, and the dryer vent was just blowing into the kitchen, so I had to work to get that vented outside. We still like the Tennismaster location. Easy bike ride to beach, or drive & park if you have a lot of stuff to carry. Not sure I would select this unit again until some repairs are made."

"Cheap House-needs updated
This was our first stay at Hilton Head and we loved it. The house was great(we had 7 adults and 2 teens staying there and had plenty of room). House needs updated(paint peeling from ceiling looks like a leak that was never repaired), deck covered in green moss. For the price and great last minute service I really have no complaints. We would probably stay at a different plantation next time to explore the island more."

"Tennismaster 302
House was just as described and even better in person. Location was fabulous. Home was roomy so we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Furnishings were great and even had a nice desk in the kitchen were my computer could stay open to check in with the office. Rental company was very easy to deal with from start to finish. The beach was a little farther than we thought but still an easy walk. Only negative - all 4 twin beds were horribly uncomfortable. New Mattresses for those beds would be nice. King beds were fine. The ceilings had damage like there had been water damage previously. . All in all I would definitely rent again!"

"Jones vacation
We couldn't have been happier. Our condo was in the perfect location and the staff was great to work with. My only complaint was there was a dog next door that barked the entire time her owner was out and about. However, we had such a fabulous time that I'd rent that same unit even with the dog again. I have already given your name to a few coworkers. Thank you for a wonderful vacation."
