"2023 trip with the Grandkids
It was our 25th trip to the island and 3rd time at The Inn, decided to bring the grandkids as they have never been out of our hometown of Elkhart, In, and they seen so many things on the way down but the island and beach and they loved the pool. We were in #411 and they loved looking out at night and strolling the beach at night but couldn’t keep them out of the water. They were either in the gulf or in the pool all day think they’re waterlogged! We tried several restaurants on the island but really had our best food at the Catalina in Bayou La Batre. Thought pizza at Chevron better then pirates but who doesn’t love a great bakery and those cinnamon tools are to die for. Young Women in the office with glasses can’t think of her name very friendly and wonderful to work with. Will always comeback to The Inn pending I only need 2 bedrooms. A wonderful time was had by all in your little piece of heaven!"

"Great Condo
We’ve been to Dauphin Island 3 times and have always stayed at the Dolphin Inn. This condo was great and had everything we needed. It’s close to the beach and had a great view. We rented a golf cart for a few days and that was a fun way to get around. "

The location was great , pool was great . The condo was nice except for the floors were dirty . The mattresses on all the beds were absolutely ridiculous. They are not even fit for a deer camp . The couch in the living room needs to be replaced , the chairs in the living room are filthy . The patio furniture on the deck is rusted and needs to be replaced. You need to send the email out sooner upon arrival because we had to travel 17 miles back the other way for a store for paper supplies. We paid 1600$ for 4 nights and will not stay there again . "

"Not happy with our unit.
We stayed in unit 411. When we arrived we noticed pretty quickly it wasn't very clean. Some of us had to take the time and clean for a bit before we would even feel comfortable staying. There was dust hanging from the ceiling fans. When you would use the restroom you would notice how nasty it was behind the toilets. Dust piled on the baseboards. Some of the furniture chairs were stained so much that we put sheets on them because we didn't want to sit on them. And then the mattresses on the beds. They were absolutely horrible. Every time someone turned you had this horrible creaking sound that would wake the other one up. And they were so hard and uncomfortable. If we could have got our money back we would have left. Also when we went to the kitchen to make breakfast all of the baking pans that were so corroded over and discolored and rusted up that we couldn't even use them. The kitchen could use some updated pots and pans. We were there for 9 days so we would have done a lot more cooking. I don't believe all of the units are like this one but unit 411 was not good. But with some mattress changes and some cleaning it could be."

"Love Dauphin Island in October!
The only downside was the beds and pillows not being comfortable and the ceiling fans were dirty. Also only one bedroom had an extra blanket. No extra blankets in second bedroom. The view was great and the condo was quiet, which we enjoyed! "

Condo 411 was exactly as described. It was so well taken care of and we absolutely love the ease of checking in and out. As others have stated the main bedroom bed wasn't a king and all the beds were pretty uncomfortable but otherwise we loved it. We definitely will be booking this condo again"

Wonderful place! Pools are great, beach magnificent, condo clean and well stocked! We had a late check in due to mishaps causing late take off. The answering service could use some work as it took us five calls to get correct gate code. Kept getting one for next door although we told them each time our condo name . We were tired and AC in car had died so we were a bit frazzled. That said, when I checked the next morning, it was on the confirmation email ��. After a seven hour drive in a hot call, my brain was frazzled. "

This was a disappointing Unit. The bed were not sized as described, unit outdoor furniture was dirty and in poor condition. There was no spatula in the kitchen, and every time you use the kitchen the fire alarm goes off. Weird right? Anyway, old dirt in wall edges, microwave, and sparse amenities for unit like toilet paper (two rolls) for a week and one paper towel roll. Unit is in bad need of an update... I would spend your money elsewhere. "

Rental was fine for our trip. The beds could use updating, as well as the towels, soap, and cookware. I realize some are hard on these items, but others (like myself) will pay a little extra for better things. Checkin was great but I didn’t receive the gate code before our arrival. Thankfully we were able to find another renter to ask so we could get in. We did enjoy the provided umbrellas & boogie boards (one of the umbrellas was broken so we threw it away). It is my 3rd time staying here and I love it, but would love to see some updated amenities. I do love the quietness and low traffic of the rentals at the Inn. "

"Decent stay
There was only two problems we had staying at this place. The first problem was we needed a gate code. I never received an email stating we would need a code to get into the property. So we called the number that was on all of the emails. The lady tried arguing with me that I did not need a code to get in. After a while of her reading her instructions out loud, she reads the part about the code. The hotel needs to make sure they tell their customers about the code needed and what it is. The next problem was since it was a tiny island with very few restaurants, you tend to cook more in the room. The every time the oven was turned on the fire alarm would go off. Other than those two problems, the place was clean and overall a great stay."

"Fun vacation
We had a great time on Dauphin Island. Our condo was right on the beach, great view and easy access to the sand and surf. Nice, sparkling pools. It was easy to get to everything on the island on foot or on bicycle. We enjoyed the shops, the historical sites, the beauty of the island, and the local food, especially Pirate's Bar and Grill. We hope to return to the island in the future and will definitely check on staying at a condo at the Inn."

"Perfect Getaway
This was our first trip to Dauphin Island. We didn't know what to expect but knew we wanted to be on the water. The Inn at Dauphin Island fit that need perfectly. Can't beat the contactless check-in--worked like a charm!
Let me give you the 411 on Unit 411! ;) It's FANTASTIC! We LOVED it right down to the decor (bird art in front bedroom and massive owl print in dining area). The open plan is lovely. Having some beach supplies and playthings was a nice bonus. Yes, I flew the shark kite!
Saving the best for last: THE VIEW! Unobstructed views of the gulf for as far as the eye could see. It was peaceful, serene, lovely. Relaxing on the lanai was a delight.
If I have any critique, it's that the bedding was NOT comfortable... AT ALL. I'll admit, I'm spoiled by my memoryfoam at home but this thing felt old and was really overdue for an upgrade. Ditto for the bed in the 2nd room.
Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would come back again ... and pray this quiet treasure remains unknown to the masses!"

"Relaxing stay
The place was quiet and peaceful. The beach was never over crowded and stayed clean. The condo was very clean and the kitchen had all of the items we required. The view over the gulf was amazing and I recommend bringing binoculars.
The amount of restaurants on the island is limited but we chose the area to be away from people anyway. The instructions sent to us were very clear and even said about where the closest grocery stores were. The staff was not overly friendly but they were not rude either. They were there to get you checked in and out. We did not have any problems that required maintenance and did not need any assistance after check in. The sliding glass doors were hard to open so that might be a problem for elderly people and small children. I have not ever stayed in an active hurricane area so that might be why the doors need the weight. The time of year we went prevented us from being able to see the sunrise and sunset from the balcony but you can see it from the front door.
Overall. I would recommend The Inn at Dauphin Island. We are looking forward to going back. "

This unit is AWESOME! This is my 2nd time renting this unit and I will definitely rent again. I love the view, the interior is clean and well decorated. The kitchen had almost everything I needed. Room is in great location, great views, great staff, fun fishing, easy beach access, open beach, friendly regulars, clean common areas (Thanks Tim!), easy/gated parking, but regarding the room? It's definitely old with some very worn stuff inside and out. The TV has many bad channels (difficult to watch the Olympics). Oh and watch out, the mosquitos are ferocious (!!) around the water hose/shower. But I gave it 4 stars due to the first half of our review/experience."

"Thanksgivig at the beach
This was my third time to stay at the Inn and the first in a two bedroom condo. Like the location and sunsets from the balcony.The unit did not have enough glasses and mugs. Both the ktchen and master bath faucets leaked, and the big screen TV had a snowy, lined screen on the first 3-4 channels. Unable to watch the Macy parade on NBC. Master bath did not have enough toilet paper. I would recommend the property based on previous stays, not on this unit."

This is a very nice condo. Very clean and nice furniture. The only thing when we were ready to leave we were instructed to remove the bed sheets and start a load of towels we used. Once we removed the bed sheets we noticed the mattress was badly stained. Had I know that I would have never slept on that bed. I called and reported this to the property nanager."

"The Inn Unit 411 Jan-Feb 2017
The check in process was very easy. We received all the needed information by e-mail prior to our arrival. We had stayed in this same unit last year during the winter. Last year we reported that the front door lock often sticks and the bathroom faucet dripped. They still were not fixed. The patio furniture needs replacing since chair legs are rusted off and all the cushions are ripped. There is no dresser storage space in the master bedroom. That's OK if you are only staying a week but for extended stays it is very inconvenient. Over all we were happy with the unit and loved the awesome view from the deck. "

"October Beach Get-a-way
The Inn at Dauphin Island is a beautiful property with friendly staff, a lovely location with ocean view units. Now for the issues. Online pictures and discriptions of unit 411 looked fantastic but what other reviewers said about the poor bedding was absolutely true! We too, could have enjoyed our 7 days so much more if we could have had a good night's sleep. Mattresses were lumpy, noisy and extremely uncomfortable. Bath towels were dingy and washcloths so brown I couldn't bring myself to use them. We went out and purchased our own. Screen door was ripped and deck furniture in dangerous condition with rusty, jagged edges. Simple improvements towards the comfort of guests could make this an outstanding unit. I will recommend The Inn, but would not rebook unit 411. "

"A Perfect Place to stay at Dauphin Island!
We only had a few days to enjoy Dauphin Island. The Inn was the perfect place to stay. It was a good location, our condo was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. I would highly recommend "The Inn" whether it was for a few days or for a week long trip to Dauphin Island. Also, having 2 pools was really nice. And the beach was a few minutes away and an easy walk. It was a wonderful place to stay and I can't wait to go back there next summer."

Our first trip to Dauphin Island and this was the place to stay. The condo was beautiful and we loved the views from the 4th floor. Awesome TV in living room, furniture comfortable (could use new mattresses in the second bedroom, they are worn and creak loudly), dishes and cookware were exactly what we needed with measuring cups and all. We were concerned from pictures online about the walk to the beach but it was not bad at all! Nice boardwalk with lights at night and such a quiet beach with room to play and just hang out. Loved the small town feel and family friendly beaches, explored the estuarium and thoroughly enjoyed the Fort. Ate fresh seafood from Skinners and enjoyed the cinnamon rolls from the Lighthouse Bakery. Check-in and out were easy and staff was very helpful. Perfect vacation with amazing accommodations. We would definitely recommend 411!"

This unit was GROSS. Dusty, sticky, furniture in disrepair & smelly, mold in shower. Coffee pot was broken and leaked everywhere, dryer squealed a loud metal on metal noise. Plywood hanging out of the end of bed between mattress and box spring. View included a bunch of natural gas rigs. Pool was closed and has to walk next door. Very limited management presence; couldn't address issues."

"Getting away
This is the perfect place to relax, meet new people, walk on the beach, or read by the pool. The privacy and quietness were what i enjoyed the most. Condo 411 is in need of complete renovation. First it needs to be cleaned,the entire unit needs to be cleaned prior to painting.Baseboards and walls have been painted over the top of dust. Carpet, and throw rugs are stained beyond shampooing, chairs at the table had to be covered with towels prior to sitting on them, the entire seats were dirty, dirt and stains had apparently been there for some time, insects were in the light fixture cover.The mattresses collapsed with any weight placed on them. I could go on and on. The picture posted on your web site gives the impression of cleanness of 411, they are deceitful. Management however was very professional and helpful. The grounds were very well kept. I would only recommend this property to a friend if it were renovated, cleaned and painted, and I would have to see it again. "

"Rest for my Stressed out Soul
I could not have picked a better place for this year's vacation. Everything was absolutely perfect for us. I needed someplace where I could sit and look out on the Gulf & listen to the waves and worry about absolutely nothing. This was the place. The location was exactly what I needed. My family and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the waves roll in while keeping an eye out for the dolphins which never failed to appear. The condo unit itself was beautifully decorated. Everything was in perfect working order and I cannot say enough about the great staff that works there. The weather cooperated with only one rainy day which coincided with our ferry trip over to Fort Morgan and Gulf Shores. Since we were going to eat out there and enjoy a movie the rain was no problem. The only glitch in the whole week was the fire alarm system was worked on one day and it went off several times but we just went out to the pool or down to the beach. So it really wasn't a problem for us. I hope to use this same condo again in the future. Our family loves Dauphin Island and our trip this year only made us appreciate it more. "

"Fourth of July at Dauphin Island
We had a wonderful time on this island! Friendly people and a calm relaxing atmosphere was just what we needed!! Our children enjoyed playing in the water and riding bikes all over on the island. The condo was clean and nice for the price. It could use updated cooking pots and pans, but we were able to make do. Some of the furniture was showing lots of wear. "

If you like to relax at the beach and not have to deal with traffic and loud noises this is the place to be. A very cozy place. A variety of good restaurants and activities for the whole family.
