Nice North Padre Island location with excellent Gulf views and direct beach access. Beaches in this area are crowded due to all the nearby rental properties. The entire complex was clean and well maintained and the on-site staff were friendly. Condo #208 was clean and reasonably well maintained. It was stocked with basic ammenities such as: cookware, flatware, dishes and linens, TV, and Internet. There was a noticeable musty smell inside the condo. The sliding door onto deck was almost impossible to open and close. The kitchen stove was in need of repairs, some of the coils were not even connected. The master bath shower has very little water pessure and in need of a shelf or hanging caddy to hold soap and shampoo. Overall we were pleased with the unit and would consider staying there again on our next beach trip."

Picked this location and condo rather last minute. Great experience. Nice beach view & access, nice pool, perfect floorplan in 2 bedroom condo. Everything was clean and well kept, plenty of dishes, paper towels, soaps and toiletries. We will definitely be back."

My family of 4 loved our condo! AC got very cold and kids bed was so comfy! Master bed made way too much noise tho. Every time one of us turned it made all kinds of noise. But the view was perfect! Very clean, nicely put together! We all agreed we would stay here again since we go to North Padre a lot! Just please fix that master bed, and would be nice if there were 2 beds in 2nd bedroom for each of my kids. They hated sharing ��"

"Condo with a beautiful view!
Condo with a beautiful view! We took our mom on a small vacation to N. Padre Island, what a wonderful experience. Kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathrooms were nice and clean. It had all we needed except for a very minor detail, there was only hand soap in just the bathroom downstairs. But, there’s was an Island grocery close by to grab whatever you needed which was very convenient. The master bedroom the bed mattress was comfortable but bed frame itself was a little too/creaky when u would try to adjust yourself. A small little side table would be a nice addition on the balcony as well. But other than that everything else was great! We would definitely come back! "

"Beautiful Beach View
Right on the beach and lovely view. Furniture was a bit outdated (kitchen table needed re-stained and poly and coffee table was wobbly). Livingroom needed an additional comfy chair for 4 adults to sit. 3 adults on the couch just doesn't do it. Water temp in upstairs hall would not get hot. Front desk was kind enough to give us additional towels and washcloths (1 washcloth per guest for 2 nights)."

"Unit 208 is a dump. Be choosy which unit you rent.
The complex and pool (heated) are great - on the beach, clean - worthy of 4 stars. Come stay here, but be choosy about which unit you stay in. DO NOT RENT UNIT 208; it is a DUMP. Clearly bought run down to rent out with minimal, poorly done "lipstick" renovations in a complex that is almost 40 years old. Everything is shabby, only one burner on the stove is safe to use, the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes, the kitchen is bare bones for dishes and the table looks like it was original, sofa bed was only used one night it is so uncomfortable, the master bed creaks to the point it wakes the whole household up, linens are inadequate (cotton coverlet only), decor is dreary and dated (dusty silk plants on top of the kitchen cabinets, a shell wreath on the master wall that has to be 30 years old). I could go on, but you get the picture. After fees, the rent was over $500 per night - not worth anywhere near that price. And, to top it off, the management wanted to charge us $25 to access the unit one hour early (check in is 4:00 which is late and check out is 11) even though the unit was clean and empty and had not been rented out the night before we arrived.

"Room with a view
Got off to a rocky start with a/c not working, but it was quickly repaired. Two days in, the sink fell into the cabinet below. We were about 1 1/2 days without a kitchen sink. Though we had issues (Property Management) always quickly responded with a cheerful voice and sympathetic ear. A/C repairman came out at 9:30 pm. He was so friendly and so efficient! I've used (Property Management) for years now and will continue to for my visits there!!!"

"Paradise
We had an amazing time. It was so quiet and relaxing. There was not a lot of people or loudness. The condo was absolutely spotless. We did not cook in the kitchen at all because we utilized the barbecue area to make burgers one night, pork chops, and barbecue another night! It was perfect! We also walked to the beach. The beach is literally feet away. We will be back very soon!!!!"

"Could use some improvements
We had multiple issues including wifi disconnecting and the door lock shutting down. I also was not pleased that we had to take our towels down in order to receive fresh ones. We were there for 4 days and not once did some come to clean or take out the trash. Having to do those things myself did not feel like a vacation. That was the first time I have ever run into that. As gulf streams I’ve stayed at multiple times and did not experience that. The plus side the view was great and liked the close parking. "

"Great Vacation!
Perfect location for sure! Beware, this beach is crowded pretty much all the time during the summer. Weekends are crazy, weekdays are better. Lots of cars on the beach which is kind of a bummer, because cars weren't allowed when I stayed here growing up. Once we got over it, it was fine. The condo was great, a few minor maintenance things, like difficult door sliders on the balconies, but nothing major. Pool is nice and big, so even when its crowded you can find a spot to post up and have some space. The grounds were always clean, the condo was clean, and beds comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and it was really fun for me to reminisce on all my time spent here as a kid with my own kiddos! "

Everything was good enough. The stove top needs repair & is difficult to use. The electric burners are crooked so difficult to cook an egg or something that needs to be cooked level. Otherwise good enough. The interior decorating is a little funny looks like the handy man arranged things (Ex: the small clock on the large wall & the large picture of beach chairs on the small wall). "

"Old, sink mold, ill-equipped kitchen-but mgmnt tried to remedy
The property is old, but well-maintained in the common areas. The condo we leased was not well-maintained and was not well-cleaned. The 3 patio vertical blinds had ancient, broken panels that fell down if touched. Undoubtedly, housekeeping new as one could not open nor close without panels falling. The mold under the sink had bleach applied as soon as we reported it, but nothing remedied longterm. The carpets need removed as so old a too dirty to clean. The pillows were horrible. Bring your own. 100% sheets are microfiber, which is a synthetic like sleeping on plastic. For the price, there should be quality sheets, pillows and blankets. Not even salt nor pepper is provided. Bring every item you will use. This is not like an Airbnb where items accumulate from prior lessees. The hot tub is small, but hot. I think its maximum is 6 or 8, so actually very few people can use it. The pool is heated, but too cool for us. The young folks that do the work there are very nice and helpful and do their best! Its location is great! "

This condominium is nice, beautifully situated with a beach view, however the interior needs some TLC for the price point they charged (5 star price point, 3 star accommodations). We were charged big cleaning fees but there was dust on the nightstand and lamp, dirt on the light switches, a need for new carpeting, dirty (rusty) heating/AC Vent covers and dust/rust/dirt in the medicine cabinets/drawers. The microwave was installed incorrectly and did not fully open. There was some chipped paint, covered over, improperly repaired. Porch furniture was dirty - not just minor dust, but in need of a thorough cleaning. The condo facility was quite nice - pool area was immaculate. The staff were great! Wd just overpaid for a nice condo that was not a great condo. Needs TLC. "

"Very Poor Experience
Arrived at around 430 PM and by the next morning we had a ton of ants in the master bedroom and closet. Not only were the kids and my wife’s clothes covered in ants but my 18 month old ended up having multiple bites on her shoulders. After informing the HOA Director of the issue there was a complete lack of empathy and urgency to the situation. Wonderful maintenance guy would helped us clean up, but this is after I went to local hardware store to buy bug spray. Do not recommend. Condos are in very rough shape and very outdated. Front desk team was amazing and loved their help and support. "

"Ultimate beach front balcony view
Great location and excellent views. Condo needs some upkeep. Electrical outlets are very worn / loose, several need replaced. Upstairs sliding glass door needs a lock. Microwave door will not open fully because of wall tile. Several cosmetic wall wear issues. Although, everything in the unit functions adequately. And although the condo was not pristine we had an awesome stay. We would return tomorrow if we could. "

Highly disappointed in our stay. We always stay at el constante and are usually very happy. This particular condo was horrible. First off, it was not clean. It smelt like mold. The furniture and decor is in bad shape and falling apart. The bedroom walls in the guest room are literally deteriorating and the patching they have done isn’t helping. All of the air vents were rusty. The only positive is the view from the balconies. We left early because i did not want to sleep in this place. Really disappointed, even more so because of the price point that was much higher than much nicer units. "

"Not happy ��
The condo was unbelievably dirty. There was a used band-aid stuck to furniture, the coffee table was held together with zip-ties, the plates had food on them, the cups still had coffee in them. To make things worse, When I called to discuss this with management they were rude and acted like this was my fault. I was told a managers would call me back, I am still waiting on that call and it has been 2 weeks. All they care about is your money, not your safety or health... just your business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND "

"Great Beach Place
El Constante consistently has the best lodging on Padre Island. The beach is at the doorstep, and the rooms are large. The property is well-maintained. The only issue is the cleanliness of the room. There was a strong cigarette odor, and ashes and soda cans were left on the balconies. This is unusual for El Constante, but they might have limited cleaning staff right now due to the pandemic. The refrigerator had a lot of rust stains inside and out, and it needs to be replaced--but that is the owner's responsibility--not management. The furniture was very comfortable."

"Sufficient but Lacking
Have stayed at El Constante many times over the years. Most units are either upgraded or original. Have stayed in both. This particular unit lacked in several areas. Master bath toilet was not set correctly and rocked every time it was sat on. Couch needed cleaning. Elements on electric stove were not level. Cookware was subpar (peeling, etc). You cannot beat the location."

"Family stay with kids
We had a great time at El Constante. This was our second time there and was able to secure a beach side condo this year. The location can't be beat and its an easy walk to the beach. We were able to get up every morning and set our stuff out for our beach time. When the kids were tired of the beach we could make that short walk back to the pool for some regular swimming time. Property was clean and management did a great job with check in. There was a short pool closure for cleaning and the management did a excellent job notifying when it was closed and reoponed. With 2 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths there is plenty of room for a family of 4 or 5. "

"Great View but needs some work
We absolutely loved the view from the condo. It is a great location steps from the beach. The pool was heated and very large. The condo itself needed some tlc. The microwave door didn't open all the way and the rotator inside was removed. You had to manually turn the food every 15 seconds or it would burn. The dining table had fuzz stuck to it. The couch smelled like a sweaty old man. It was comfy but you couldn't breathe when you sat on it. Upstairs master bath had a bar of soap holding the shower curtain up. The beds were clean and comfy. Each room had a tv which was nice. Overall the place clean."

"End of February five day getaway right on the beach
I was looking at Google maps and noticed the complex. I read the reviews and booked it with Taylor. She was very helpful. It's a luxury two bedroom condo for little more than the cost of a hotel room. Three balconies...the master bedroom balcony looks out over the sugar sand beach. The second bedroom balcony overlooks the pool area. The upstairs bedrooms are far apart for privacy and each has it's own full bath. We were very happy with everything and would definitely stay here again. "

"Amazing Beach Vacation
We stayed in room 208. There were some minor inconveniences with the room such as refrigerator would not get cold and leaked water, the towel rack in the upstairs bathroom kept falling off, the dining table was very sticky despite cleaning it several times. Other than those very minor problems, our stay was wonderful! The view is absolutely amazing! The convenience of being so close to the beach was just wonderful! We have stayed here several times and yet the experience still amazes me! Absolutely love this place! "

Rental was very clean and organized with the basics of essentials to start your vacation. Great view of the beach to catch the sunrises and sunsets. Air conditioner ran but did not seem to be cooling the unit. Would stay here again just for the view and easy access to the condo. "

"GREAT VACATION!
This was my first vacation in over 18 years. It was home away from home. Clean, comfortable beds, both a sofa and chair to sit and relax, and watch a movie. The kitchen had everything to prepare my own meals. Never really had to leave the location. I walked the beach in the morning at sunrise, and in the evening at sunset. Saw lots of different birds, star fish, turtles, and other vacationers who preferred to fish, or sun bathe. My 6 day stay was most memorable. Best vacation ever. Looking forward to planning another vacation here soon!"

"Annual trip to the Island
We have stayed at El Constante around the first of August for about twenty years. Unit 208 was very comfortable and clean. It has evidently been refurbished fairly recently. I really like the laminate floor downstairs. It is on the beach so access is easy. The pool and surrounding area are nice. We like the gulf front units. It is nice to sit on the balcony in the morning and evening and just watch the water. We will be back next year. "

Everything was nice...especially condo 202. In condo 208 The sheets were way too small for the bed. We couldn’t get the bottom sheet back on after the first night so we spread out our beach towels so we wouldn’t be sleeping on the mattress."

"Second year at ElConstante as WINTER TEXAN
ELCONSTANTE has a perfect location right on the beach. Many of the units have a beach view and the sound of the waves are wonderful. The pool is terrific and people use it daily, even on cool days, because it it very well heated. There are many social gatherings for us and the other residents are very welcoming. The staff is wonderful and very helpful when needed. I am planning on returning next winter."

"Beach Retreat
Overall, our stay was good. There were a few issues - the floor in the living room is sinking and made for a tripping hazard. Also, the chairs on the main floor’s balcony were rusty and one broke when sat in. We had to go buy our own chairs in order to be able to sit outside and enjoy the view. The unit was incredibly clean. There was a lot of construction going on which was noisy and disruptive. No discount was given for this inconvenience."

"Banging at 8AM
Not the good kind either. We were very disappointed and upset that we were rudely awakened 3 times at 8am to banging and sawing. When I called the front office she apologized but couldn't do anything about it. It was our vacation and we didn't get to sleep in :( . Other than that our we had everything we needed in the condo. When we visit again I'm going to have to select a different room. The slope that is marked with BLUE TAPE is very dangerous. Oh yeah, the Handicap parking was covered with trash and not parkable."

We have been coming to this property for over twenty years. Evidently there is a new management company handling the property. I did not care for some of their new policies such as pay in full two weeks in advance. However, there has been a lot of painting and other work performed on the property and it its in excellent condition. We like the location of the property and the fact that it is a small complex. Overall it was a very good stay. "

Beds seemed like new memory foam and were very comfortable. Views from the balcony were fantastic! Office staff was very friendly and helpful. There are lots of stairs because the condo is on the second floor and the bedrooms are on the upstairs level inside the condo. Not necessarily a problem but people should be aware of that. Some slats were missing from the master bedroom blinds, the downstairs toilet did not flush well, and the dining table was in poor condition, which were the reasons for the lost star on the rating."

"Disgusting bug-ridden El Constante unit
Left unit 208 3 weeks early because of bug-infestation. (Property Management) mgmt totally apathetic, almost hostile. Got screwed out of some rent. Unit was poorly, inadequately furnished. Earlier extermination effort was a two-squirt joke. Didn't even go up to the bedroom floor. Rusty junk spewed out of the bathtub spout every time the water was turned on. Bugs daily in the kitchen drawers and cabinets, and on the walls and floors. Owner's rusty junk in a closet looked like a landfill and took up the limited space available. mgmt indifferent to the situation. Filthy mattress in 2nd bedroom. Desk clerks on site were nice. "

We stayed in unit 2008 It was very dated like 90's furniture and accessories. The kitchen counter had bar height stools in front of it 6 inches to tall to sit in. Dining table was so grimy that your paper towels would stick to it. We ended up eating at the coffee table. The microwave had faulty wiring that was reported twice to management and never fixed. Also no can opener or frying pan. would not stay there again, we left a day early"

It was AMAZING!! The condo was gorgeous and was well outfitted. Everything about the condo made it feel like a home away from home. This was our first time staying here and are already looking to see when we can book another visit. We had a beachfront condo and it was perfect. The view was great and so convenient to access the pool and beach. Loved the keyless entry feature. It made it so easy for us to come and go without worrying about who had a room key or how we were going to get back in if someone had the key and were somewhere on the beach or fishing. Great experience over all! :)"

The location was gorgeous. The condo had a couple small issues. The dining room table was really sticky, probably from the humidity (maybe just add a table cloth). The living room floor had a weird slope, but not too bad. The beds were comfortable, pool and hot tub were great! Was disappointed that it didn’t have a washer/dryer, but I must’ve misread that when I booked. Overall we had a great time. We stay in North Padre 2-3 times a year and this was our favorite place so far!"

Nice condo, everything there we needed & nice furnishings. Only negative there was a lot of roaches in the kitchen, they came right away & sprayed once we reported, but it just grosses ya out especially since we made a lot of meals there. The heated swimming pool was great! Especially since it was cold. We used the grills & they were cleaned daily with was awesome! So if there wasn’t roaches we’d give it 5 star ratings!

"BEST VIEW ON THE COAST!
We usually stay in Port A, but stayed here this trip. We will always come back to this spot! Our balcony literally opened onto the beach. The pool was heated so we got to swim in November! And there is a hot tub. We were just a few minute drive to local restaurants, etc.. Definitely had the same island feel that we love. We will be back here every time!"

"ColdRainy Days at the Beach
Rainy daysat the beach are still better than sunny days at the office. Our condowas recovering the wraths of hurricane Harvey and things arond the pool were in disarray - lots of constrction debris. We called ahead to inquire about hair dryers being available in the condo - we were told yes but the correct answere shold have been No. This was disappointing and so was the fact that the fireplace was not functional."

This condo was very nice and right on the beach! The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was very courteous. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Corpus!"

"Beach 2017
We have been coming to these condos for at least 20 years. We appreciate that they are updating the property inside and out. We loved the new living room furniture but were disappointed that there weren't six beds as there have been in the past. Someone had to sleep on the couch and the sixth "bed" was a blow-up mattress. We reported that the electrical outlets weren't all working and in this day of electronics and smartphones needing to be charged that was challenging. Overall this was one of our most pleasant stays at El Constante in a long while. The condos and pool were clean, the beach was clean and the weather was perfect. We have already made our reservations for next year."

"Condo
The staff was great. The room was adequate after the staff fixed minor problems. Stairs needed refinishing going to the condo room. Standing water at the base of stairs. "
