"Tahoe Getaway
Enjoyed the the deck with teak table and filtered views of Lake Tahoe and the trees. Immaculate and well maintained townhouse. The pool and clubhouse are bonus for sure. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully soon!"

"Very responsive & Just as described
Loved our experience. It was very clean, looked just as described, and when needed, we were able to get responses within minutes. I should mention though that because the bed is in the loft and heat rises, it was very difficult to cool off in the summer evenings. It was generally much cooler in the tv area. It was also nice to not need to do anything super tedious before checking out. They provided very simple check out instructions the night before as a reminder.

The only suggested improvements I have is providing some sort of cleaning supplies other than just paper towels. It would've been nice to have an all purpose cleaner or lysol wipes. And even though they provide an easy to follow map, it would've been nice to have an actual address to the unit vs only having the address to the main building. "

"Great Condo to Rent
Condo was very clean and comfortable and in a great location. "

"Mountain Song recap
I enjoyed Mt. Song off season in late September during ideal conditions, except for some road repair between Carnelian Bay and Tahoe City. It’s a good location, and offers some memorable views—a full moon over the lake in the distance, and alpine silhouettes at sunset. Overall, comfortable although we couldn’t figure out the fireplace (no need.) Nice amenities overall. Be ready to hike a bit between parking and condo."

"Two Weeks in Heaven
Lovely, clean well-maintained unit. Staff was very helpful dealing with several unexpected problems we had which made our stay even nicer."

"Peaceful and quiet location with a surprise view of the lake.
We have stayed at this part of Lake Tahoe multiple times. This was a great location for a quiet and restful stay. We were surprised by the lovely view of the lake from the back deck. This unit was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. Linens and towels were excellent quality. All in all I would highly recommend this unit. "

"Mountain Song
Future renters should be warned that the entrance walk from the parking lot is not suitable for those with disabilities due to its steep and long distance. Winter would be treacherous at best."

"Tahoe getaway
Quiet nice location. Not good for anyone with mobility issues, but really, would someone with mobility issues couldn't really enjoy a place like Tahoe ."
Jul 09, 2022 - Brenda G., Puyallup, WA

"Okay
The sheets were soft and beds comfortable. The space was fine and worked for our stay. I had a hurt foot, so the walk from parking to the unit wasn’t easy. There were 9 pages of instructions with the unit number buried in the middle. Much of the instructions did not apply to this rental. There were no instructions about using the TV - and 6 remotes for AV equipment. The internet did work fine. The unit is high on a hill, so plan to drive to the beach or pool. Overall, it was fine. I probably wouldn’t stay there again."

"Great location, beautiful view
The Mountain song get away was as described. It was very clean and cozy. The kitchen, though small, was well-designed, appliances
were new and stocked with cookware. View of trees and lake in background was beautifully breathtaking. Sofa is uncomfortable, would recommend an upgrade and suggest letting guests know when the pool and other amenities will not be available. But this was a great getaway in a quiet location. I would absolutely recommend."

"Mountain Song March 4-6, 2022
No hair dryer in unit. Odd? Pathways SLICK with snowfall Sat evening, asphalt paths are steep to condo, and the railings are not contiguous all the way down (and some wobble when you hold them!) The paths should be gritted/salted, or at least fore-warned about! This is a safety issue, imho. Everything else was great! Very comfortable. Loved that there was an electric kettle. I'd appreciate an 11am check out. I've never stayed anywhere with a 10am check out and I found it challenging to get me and 2 kids out of the unit; emptying trash, fridge, and carrying everything uphill to our car."

"Simple accomifation
Very clean and simple accommodations "
Mar 01, 2022 - Felicite P., Fairfeild, CA

"Great, Clean Location
Nice property for two people. Clean and convenient. The hot tub is only open Fri & Sat. from noon-8:45pm due to staffing issues. This should be noted in description. Also, there is a speaker behind the couch that should be removed. It's dangerous, especially if you have children. We hit our heads on the shelf several times, so I put a blanket around it to soften the blow. You can see the location in the picture they use to advertise. Everything else was great, the bed was comfortable and the fireplace was a nice amenity. We'd stay here again."

"Ski Weekend
Nice place for a couple, with a large bed and everything we needed. View of the lake and sunrise from the living room and deck. There are two large storage lockers right outside the front door, good for your gear. Plenty of parking right out front and the walks were plowed and dry. "

"Great location, good house, horrible property management company
Location was fabulous. House was very clean and in good condition except for the sofabed. I would suggest bringing your own blow up mattress to avoid the chiropractor. Having booked with for 10 years I have never had such a problematic time with a property management company. They sent me at least 10 emails for a 2 day stay. No one has ever made me pay more than the price quoted by , these guys wanted a $300 deposit on top of what I paid AFTER everything was confirmed by . They wanted to know all the ages of the visitors and the EXACT times of checkin and checkout. We asked for a 1 hour delayed checkout and they said no...apparently the cleaners need 6 hours to vacuum a 900 sq ft home as we had washed all the dishes and taken out the trash. Checkout is at 10am which is ridiculous as checkin was at 4pm. I would avoid this place just to avoid dealing with the property management company. "

"Tahoe Vacation
Great place to stay in a great location for exploring Lake Tahoe"
Sep 24, 2021 - Mark B., Wayzata, MN

"Thanksgiving Stay
The unit is nice with a view of lake, a useful gas fireplace, and a reasonably well fitted-out kitchen. The sofa bed is VERY uncomfortable, however, and almost unusable unless you put the mattress onto the floor. Also, the thermostat has a very wide gauging-range creating large temperature swings. Need some scissors in the kitchen...."

"Our 24th Anniversary
We had a wonderful time at Mountain Song. From the gorgeous morning sunrise to the lovely drives and hikes, we couldn’t have been happier. We got married at Gar Woods and we stayed at the complex 24 years ago. We have been back many times since and hope to keep coming back. Is there anyway you can find out which unit we stayed in when we got married in 1995 on October 25th? That would be really fun!"
Oct 27, 2020 - Michael S., Pleasant Hill, CA

"Beautiful room in a great location
Beautiful condo with views of Lake Tahoe. Located in a beautiful area along the lake away from the hustle and bustle of busy South Lake Tahoe. Great for families and hikers who want an enjoyable stay close to beautiful lesser traveled areas of Lake Tahoe. "
Oct 17, 2020 - Tony M., N/A, CO

"Quiet and Restful Stay
Most resort amenities were either closed for the season, or closed due to covid. We were ok with that because we were looking for a quiet getaway."

"Great place
We had wonderful time and would return"
Oct 14, 2020 - David K., Oceanside, CA

"Some good, some not so good
The house was clean and works well for 2 people.
The location is not 2 blocks from the beach, which was disappointing. The sofa sleeper is the worst I have ever experienced and the loft bedroom would benefit greatly from a ceiling fan."

"CW 129 Cozy Unit
I've stayed in numerous units at CW for past 20+ years, but first time in this unit. Both bathrooms are updated with new vanities and fixtures, nice but are starkly white. The kitchen is also updated with new appliances and nice cabinets, but is very compact. All other units I've stayed in at CW have a snack counter and is open to the living space. This kitchen has been closed off to the living space and makes a small kitchen feel even smaller. There is also no air ventilation in the kitchen due to being closed off. Another oddity is the dining table is located in the entry hallway and is socially disconnected from the living room and kitchen, while there is a desk where the dining table should be located. Reversing the location of these two pieces of furniture would make for a better flow, and even better would be to open the kitchen wall again and replace the breakfast counter. The upstairs loft gets very warm while the downstairs is cool. This is common in all CW units and not so much an issue in other seasons. I would like to see a K-Cup single serve coffee maker available for convenience as one or two people don't always need to make a full pot of coffee. A few more cooking pots and replace the non-stick pans too. I know this seems like a negative review, but would like to see this unit at it's best. Overall, it is a nice condo and has some nice updates. I would rank it in my top third at CW."

"Cozy & Quiet
Tucked away in the hillside of the Carnelian Woods complex, this condo was the perfect, off-season getaway for my wife and I. We were looking for a cozy and quiet location and this fit the bill. We even had a lake view from the deck. The only cons are a) the kitchen is tiny and only accommodates one person at a time, b) the layout for the great room is a bit wonky for comfortable TV viewing, and c) the couch is not comfortable for extended seating. But the location is great and just down the road from either Kings Beach or Tahoe City so it worked for us!"
Oct 20, 2019 - , SPARKS, NV

"Great Tahoe Retreat
Our stay was midweek and after the summer rush. It was very quiet and peaceful. We ate all meals outside, looking through the trees to Lake Tahoe.
The cookware needs lids and it would be nice to have more towels that weren’t scratchy (only 1 hand towel.). There was some garbage below our deck, which I collected. Despite these minor shortcomings, we loved the townhouse. It’s our second year there and would choose it again.

Bathroom door needs WD40. Needs salt and pepper. Otherwise it was perfect. A good value. "

"Nice place
Was a nice condo. Plenty of pots, pans and dishes. Could use some more bath towels. The pool and hot tub close at 7, wish it stayed open later."

"Great Place!
This is a great location located near the water and many trails for hiking. We had the best time exploring. The condo is perfect for a weekend get away. "
Jun 23, 2019 - , Henderson, NV

"Carnelian Bay Winter
The interior house was not very private. We went with our teen who slept on the couch and we slept in the bed in the loft. The only shower was in our bedroom in the loft. We could hear his technology and he could hear us. This would be fine for a couple. We had a beautiful view. We went to the rec center where nothing was happening (no activities or activity schedule and used the hot tub (only open 4-8). The hiking trails were closed and several of the hot spots for eating had been closed due to ADA compliance. We snowboarded at Diamond Peak, and rented snow shoes and hiked chickadee ridge and fed the chickadees. That was the highlight of our trip. We also went to Squaw Valley and took the tram to the top of the mountain, but the Olympic museum was disappointing. This would be a better trip in the summer when we could go in the lake at Kings Beach."

"Clean and Cozy Weekend Rental
This loft was perfect for our weekend getaway. The unit was cleaned to perfection, and had all the amenities we needed - including a washer and dryer. The location is a short drive from many of the ski resorts, and there is ample parking. The property management company professional was professional and prompt to respond to our questions, including letting us know that we could extend our stay if needed due to the incoming storm. We plan to come back to Tahoe soon and hope to rent this unit again."

The management is very responsive.

I would return to this place."

"Tahoe Respite
We enjoyed Tahoe and Carnelian Woods, except wished for better air quality. (Smoke.)Had trouble with the T-V and 5 remotes. No instructions for use. Nice window treatments, bed & bedding quality. Property was clean. Tennis courts unusable. We had brought rackets. We liked the view, but not the walk-way to get to unit."

"Good Stay
Condo was equipped with the basic necessities. It was clean and well maintained. It is definitely most appropriate for a small family (up to 4 people)."

"Quiet, peaceful Carnelian Bay
Clean modern condo unit in well kept community. Hilltop location away from busy roads and crowds.Convenient short drive to most popular attractions. Equipped with basics needed for a week stay. Considerate neighbors. Small balcony overlooking woods with a little view of mountains and lake. Comfy king bed upstairs. Kitchen table kind of squeezed in a corner...best for two people."

"Pleasant stay in North Tahoe
The rental (Mountain Song) is perfect for a mid-week getaway. The unit is fully equipped with everything you need to make the stay enjoyable. The location is convenient in North Lake Tahoe, just a quick five minute drive to Kings Beach and 10 minutes to Tahoe City. Would definitely recommend Mountain Song for any couple and/or solo traveler looking for a nice getaway to North Lake Tahoe. "

A very relaxing experience and looking forward to this fall for a week long stay."

"Great stay in north Tahoe
My family of three stayed here for three nights. We really enjoyed the condo. It was just the right size for us, had everything we needed, and was really comfortable. Plus the location is great. The condos are surrounded by a forest so you feel a pleasant solitude but have quick access to the many recreational activities, restaurants, and grocery stores in the area. "
Apr 04, 2018 - Anne Megan M., San Francisco, CA

"Perfect place for a family of 4, but bring your own condiments
Located on a hilltop in Carnelian Bay, it is a clean and nicely furnished unit with comfortable lounging spaces for a family of 4, although it could fit 6. King sized bed and full bath in the loft, half bath on main floor with washer/dryer included. Kitchen had plates, cups, and utensils, but no condiments- so if you plan to cook, bring your own spices, oil, etc, or make a stop at the local Safeway down the street. For restaurants, there is a local pizza place as well as Gar Woods for a fancier meal, lake view, and full bar (dress code is not enforced and kids are welcome there). We were provided a key card to access the community pool/spa, but didn't use it. The roads and parking spaces were plowed when it snowed so we didn't have to chain up. The path to the home was shoveled out for us before we arrived, but it is a little bit of a journey to find Cole. Our weekend getaway to play in the snow was hampered by a road closure (buy the travel insurance if it forecasts heavy snow) but our little ones enjoyed playing in the snow at Planet Kids in Soda Springs, in addition to building a snowman right outside of the front door of this unit. (Saved us time of having to find a snow park for them to play in.) I would recommend this place and would consider coming back to this place in the future. "

We had a pleasant stay in this condo, it was newly refinished with taste, quiet and well furnished."

"Family skiing week
A nice, clean, well furnished vacation home for four, ideal for a family skiing week (or hiking in summer). A gas fireplace, surround audio system and washer/dryer are things you don’t find everywhere. Both Northstar and Squaw/Alpine ski resorts as well as Tahoe City are close."
