We stumbled onto this resort while doing a search for Florida destinations as we were getting ready to leave our vacation in Pensacola. This place did not disappoint! It was exactly the relaxing, peaceful environment we were hoping for. The 3 bedroom we stayed in was lovely and the setting was magical! We will definitely be back!"

"Family Beach Vacay!
My family comes to Palm Island every year and we enjoyed our stay. The villa is beautiful with amazing views.
However, I cannot give 5 stars for the property management because I was charged twice for my stay and no one returned my phone calls. I was very disappointed and I had to contact my bank about the issue. Ultimately, I was my account was credited a week later after calling again, but now I am still waiting for my bank to sort out the transaction.

"Palm Island 17 years in a row
Rental unit was very nice. Have already reserved for next year. Did not appreciate being the hastled by some security officer for riding our golf cart after 9pm. He was driving recklessly and scaring people by driving in front of them and telling them to stop and interegating them. This was totally not necessary. My wife and I are in our 60's and don't need that. Property was very well kept up and cleaner than in the past few years. Not happy that we stayed in a 3 bedroom place and I was charged on the ferry for a 3rd vehicle. Our place slept 8 comfortably w 4 beds and 3 baths, this needs to be reevaluated. "

Condo was just as described. It was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. It was gulf front, but it was quite a walk to get to the beach.

"great summer get away
We love coming to Palm Island. This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this location as it was perfect for our family reunion. Everyone has their own space, great for family meal time and games. Only thing I would change is the common complaint was the beds were hard. "

"Relaxing Get Away
Our unit was tastefully decorated and perfect for a getaway birthday celebration for my adult daughters. Sleep accommodations were good, but the pullout couch had no bed linens. Our location was perfect. Short walk or golf cart ride to the beach, Rum Bay Restaurant and pool."

beautifyul place, amazing beaches. but no after rent service. once you pay and go in.. they forget about you. called the office several time, no answer. only restaurant for BF on insland opens late. with kids, its tuff for breakfast. if we go again, hope they are better in service."

"A Great Wedding Venue
Our son chose Palm Island as a wedding venue and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our accommodations were clean and well-maintained. We were welcomed to the resort and were provided good service. The 3-bedroom villa we reserved was wonderful and completely furnished. Our only "glitch" was that the front door lock was really hard to work, but a bit of W-D 40 or graphite would take care of that. Everything was wonderful! Thank you."

"Spring Break
We have been coming to Palm Island resort for 25 years now and have stayed in many different houses and villas. This villa was well maintained and clean. It was also a little further north on the resort grounds which meant less activity. Very pleased with the vacation and plan to return again soon!"

"Annual getaway
The Villa, grounds, beaches, pool and all the staff were great. Especially Dan & Melissa. The only disappointment was RumBay Restaurant. It was filthy, there was food and used napkins on the tables and floor. All of our food was horrible. It was getting bad last two years now it has bottomed out. It definitely needs to be updated and cleaned. The menu and food need a complete overhaul. I was hoping not to have to cook but we could not go there again. The reviews would be all 5 star, but for the restaurant."

We just keep coming back... this unit is beautiful, quiet, and near the beach path. The resort is one of my favorite spots -- have stayed there 4 times so far! The front desk staff is always super, especially Marty. I do wish it was easier to recycle and to include glass. Now if only the gift shop would open at 9 so I can buy a house-sitter gift on the way home."

Palm island is the most perfect vacation spot for a quiet old Florida relaxation experience! This cottage was one of the nicest rentals we’ve ever stayed in. Perfectly decorated, very comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and of course a beautiful view with comfortable porch furniture and perfect chairs on the sun deck! We would gladly rent this gorgeous cottage again!!! "

"Thirty Years Later...
My family and I have loved coming to P I for 30 years. Our cottage was perfect in every way. Very clean, great location. It's such fun returning to our "resort home" with family and friends year after year. Golf cart rides and Captain Redbeard are highlights with grandchildren. Adult beverages at Rum Bay are the best with the grownups!"

"Azcuy vacation
We had a great stay in the rental. Very clean, fully stocked. The staff was very pleasant. We all coughed, sneezed and itched due to the red tide. I also could have done without the snakes in our front yard. Our golf cart broke 2ce but they were very nice, gave us another one and discounted at the end. "

This was our 3rd visit to Palm Island, and definitely the best one yet. You definitely get the sense you have gotten away; time just slows down. Our accommodations were fantastic, spacious and comfortable. We went with a large group of families, each renting their own space. If you are looking to get away with friends, this is definitely the way to go. "

"Weathering Out A Storm
A Tropical Depression/Hurricane could not ruin our final stay of the year 9-1-16 to 9-6-16. All of the Palm Island staff were fantastic and upbeat about the situation during the first 48 hours of our stay. Even offering credit for the stay towards a later trip had we decided to leave due to the weather. We stayed and were rewarded with the final 3 days of the best weather of the year. During the entire stay even through the wind and rain of the first 48 hours, all of the people who work to make Palm Island a 5 star vacation resort were right there doing it all as if it was just another day in paradise."

"Great Family Vacation
We have been going to Palm Island for 25 years. We love the shells, white sand and quiet island. Many of the rental units need updating, however the Lands End Cottage we were in tis year was wonderful. We plan to request it again. Palm Island is a wonderful place for a family vacation, safe enough for older kids to exlpor on their own and lots to do with younger kids too. We LOVE Red Beard."

My husband and I have been frequent visitors to Palm Island over the years --it's a 2 hour drive from our home, and it feels like another world. I have always been a "beach" person, but my husband is more a "mountain" guy -- but he loves Palm Island as much as I do. I love to walk the beach looking for sharks' teeth, and he enjoys the time to read without distractions! I've had several "girls" trips, too -- most recently the 3 bedroom cottage. Lots of fun and plenty of space. AAA rates make it reasonably affordable, though not cheap! It's a small price to pay for R&R and total relaxation, though. There is not a lot of "action" on the beach (i.e., it's not Daytona Beach, spring break fashion), but for longer stays, there are plenty of nearby off-island excursions. We've never wanted to leave once we arrive, though! Can't wait to go back. Life is good !!!"
