"2022 Harbortown Condo Vacation
We had a delightful stay. This was our second year lodging at the Harbortown Condos. Our unit was clean and well maintained. Management was accommodating and worked to successfully resolve a WiFi issue. The Cape Haze area is a great place to vacation."

"Quaint Friendly Marina Condo
GOOD: Clean; Good location; Met our needs; enjoyed the pool/hot tub. Bed was comfy; Shower worked great. Marina boats decorated beautifully for Christmas holiday; Christmas Day dinner at Leverocks was very good.
BAD: Boat taxi to Palm Island leaves too late...if you want to go in the morning you have to take the car ferry...and those guys were rude; A cockroach tried to shack up with us one day....we had to terminate him. Lights in kitchen worked 70% of time; Ice Maker did not work."

"Beautiful Get-a-way Vacation!
My wife and I were extremely pleased with our accommodations at the Palm Island One Bedroom Marina Villa. The villa was extremely clean, beautifully furnished, and spacious. The property was centrally located to several local restaurants, supermarkets, beaches, malls, and Boca Grande Island. Everything we were looking for!"

"Customer service lacking
Our recent stay at the Palm Island was with mixed reviews. While the facility was nice, the customer service and professionalism of staff was very lacking, with the exception of employees at Leverock's Restaurant. We made a point of staying at the Palm Island because of a recommendation but will not be back."

"Palm Island Marina villa wonderful location
We stayed for a week at the property- a one bedroom apartment on the mainland overlooking the marina. The apartment was larger than we had thought with an open plan lounge/dining room and kitchen, separate bedroom and bathroom. It also had a large balcony, completely netted in to stop any bugs. The balcony and bedroom had lovely views over the marina.
Included with our stay was a 10 minute water taxi across to Palm Island and access to the beach. We had lovely walks along the seashore here. Palm Island is not open to the public so this beautiful beach was never busy- more Pelicans than people.
Also included was access to the swimming pool in the marina complete with Jacuzzi.
We ate at the Leverstock restaurant on the Marina, food was good but frustrating that they do not take bookings and keep you waiting for tables (in common with most local restaurants). We also enjoyed the Rum bay restaurant on Palm Island and the delicious ice creams at the coffee shop there.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We would highly recommend it for a relaxing stay."

"Spring break 2018
The villa was perfect. The experience of check in was smooth until we went to open our fire and found out we had been given the wrong keys. Your after hours maintenance people were very helpful but it was shocking and disappointing that we did get a call apologizing for the mix up. We had groceries that had been unloaded and we had to wait about 30 minutes to get the right keys and get in. Also, air conditioner said it was 70 degrees. No way was it ever 70 degrees and even though we tried to adjust it, the temperature was at the very least 76. degrees. "

"Great place to stay
Being next to the marina is so relaxing. The swimming pool and other areas of the resort are very nice. The condo was very comfortable and well equipped. Having a great restaurant right next door is a plus. I plan on staying there again next year."

"A Mixed Bag
Unit 1115 exceeded our expectations: beautifully decorated, well equipped & spotless. Having said that our Palm Island experience was somewhat frustrating We were never told the first water taxi was at 11:30 am, too late to get started using the beach. There were several other resort amenities which visitors are encouraged to participate in the morning. When I asked about this I was told I could use the car ferry, the cost is usually $55.00 but we would be given the discounted rate of $40.00. Our balance due (in excess of $4,700.00) was charged without our knowledge to the same credit card used for the deposit of $300.00 back in August, 2016. This procedure could well result in unwelcome consequences to both you & us"

"I reallly don't understand what kind of '"title"you want.
My only "constructive criticism" is that while the staff was extremely responsive, professional and courteous everything had to be done by phone. The condo was beautiful and all amenities were adequate. At times, because we were not on the "island" we felt like "second class citizens." Now that may seem harsh, but this was our first time there and we arrived having no concept of the island and mainland. Check in was an experience because there was no one who knew anything about the place to even direct us to our condo. While I recognize this time of year is probably slow there should be some more attentive way to "pay attention" to the guests in the condos. However all in all we enjoyed ourselves. My answer to the last question would have a caveat regarding the island, mainland situation. "

"Nice little condo
Recently stayed here for long weekend with girlfriend and the condo was very nice and well appointed. Trailered a boat along and kept it at the marina next door. The boat broke and had to coordinate some logistics to get it towed and they allowed a late check out. (for a fee, a pro-bono would have been preferred but at least they allowed a late checkout) "

"Quiet Getaway
Less expensive alternative to staying on Palm Island but still able to use all the resort facilities. Condo was satisfactory. Only complaint is that one side of the toaster didn't work and the drain in the tub was faulty. Otherwise unit was clean and in good condition. This area is off the beaten path and uncrowded which we wanted but there is not much to do."

"Nice Vacation, but some disappointments.
Our Marina Villa was nice, clean and comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our vacation. However we were treated like 'non guests' on the resort island and we were not given access to 'all resort amenities' as promised on the website; once on the resort Island, the pools on the resort island are only for 'those' guests we were told when we asked in the Welcome Center. They would happily rent us a golf cart, bicycle, and other stuff for a fee, but we were not allowed to use the Island pools at any time. Also, no beach day there for us....We were not allowed to bring any beach bags,chair or cooler on the passenger ferry, so a day at the beach on the resort Island side was impossible. Lastly, we had trouble several times(in 5 days) with the passenger ferry schedule.(actual running times are different from what is posted). These are all big issues when your plan for your vacation is a 'beach vacation'. These 'rules' should have clearly been spelled out at the time of us reserving a 'Marina Villa'. We felt a bit misled by poor website/reservation information and may have reserved elsewhere if we had known these 'no pool/beach for you!' facts beforehand. Our washer/dryer didn't work upon arrival, we were told after calling the first day, it would be fixed 'today'. 5 days later we checked out never hearing from anyone.
Lastly, I called to request a later check out for Friday 1-2pm. The woman immediately barked NO, said our unit was reserved and we had to get out. That's funny, when we walked by the back windows at had not been cleaned and showed as available on the website."

"a unique vacation experience
My stay at the marina condo was unique because of the surrounding areas. Very pretty and away from all the crowds. Pa!m island resort is only accessible by water taxi and car ferry that takes two minutes if that. You'll find an array of beautiful private homes,beautiful beaches and no cars about the island. Your complete destination of luxury,walking paths,bikes and golf carts galore. One restaurant a few steps away from your marina condo which is beautiful,boat slips and a short driving distance to stores
I would return to this vacation paradise again"

Our condo was beautiful, the kitchen had all new appliances and granite countertops as well as in the bathroom. tile throughout except the becdroom. lovely screened porch,beautiful view of marinas on both sides. only complaint is it is a little away from many of the siteseeing activities but quiet, very little traffic. beautiful beaches and sunsets. close to a great seafood restaurant and a short boat ride across to Palm Island. THe only complaint was about a phone called we received that a new mattress was ready to deliver. We were about to leave to get the water taxi with our friends. We were told it would oly take 15 minutes. However, that delay caused us to miss the taxi and we had a long wait for the next one. Since we were only there for two days, why couldn't it be delivered the next day? Since we tried to hurry up we told them not to make the bed, etc. so then we ahd to pick everything up from the floor and remake the bed. We had many perosnal items so we did not wish to leave the condo without making sure everything was locked up."

What a pleasant surprise! I had no idea what to expect, as this was my first trip to the Mainland Marina Villa. This I can promise you- it definitely will not be the last. I had the best vacation at this location than any other I have taken in the last two decades, if not ever. Peace, tranquility, relaxation...these are just a few adjectives that come to mind as I think back to how I felt about my trip. Close enough to jump back into the action, yet far away enough to escape the "blender" of everyday life. I must steal a line from Gen. Douglas McCarthur: I shall return! Two thumbs way up!!!!!"
