"Lovely rental property
The unit was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The floors are not carpeting now, but replaced with nice wood-like vinyl. Very nice and excellent views."

"Short term stay
Mostly excellent - the exhaust fan in the second bathroom(hall) is broken and literally shrieks when turned on...replace it. There are 3 light bulbs in the kitchen that need replacing."

"The Perfect Getaway
We love Palm Island and have been coming here for 40 years. The property is still recovering from the hurricane, which is why I gave it less than a perfect score. Also, re. Management- we were here over 2 weeks and were unable to book housecleaning- probably a shortage of labor during a busy time."

"2BR Villa 2011 review
Not sure how it could have been better the villa was awesome.
My only issue was the guest bedroom where my wife and I stayed had 2 twin beds next to me we will look for a unit with at least queen beds.
Overall the unit was perfect "

"Perfect Getaway!
This is our second stay at Palm Island this summer and as always we had a great time! This unit was perfect for our family. The kitchen was very well stocked (much better than some other units we've stayed in) and the beds were very comfortable. We spent most of our time in the pool or driving around in the golf cart this time, but we enjoyed the pretty views of the beach from everywhere we went. We will definitely be back to Palm Island and will remember this unit specifically for our next stay!"

"Great stay-cation location
Myself, my wife and another couple stayed for a few days over a weekend in July. It was wonderful to get away close to home. The resort was really nice and the unit we rented was very clean and the view was great. We enjoyed the beach, pool and restaurant. Our experience was totally relaxing and will book again. "

Our stay at our villa was above our expectations. The villa was immaculate and the resort was very relaxing. The pool was very clean and the water was warm. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and getting around with golf carts. We would definitely recommend Palm Island for it’s relaxing atmosphere. Being on an island also made the resort unique."

"Best Kept Secret in Southwest Florida!
The last time we stayed at was in 1991. We loved it, but never had the chance to return until now. has kicked it up a notch while we were away! What we liked: no cars, no noise, no "commercialization" (high rise condos, parasailing, jet skis and the like). We liked the landscaping, privacy, choice of amenities: kayaks, bikes, tennis, pool. We liked the friendliness of the staff, grounds people, ferry operator and fellow guests. We liked that the unit came with lush bed linens and towels (no thin, scratchy towels!). We also appreciated a starter supply of the essentials: coffee and toilet paper. The unit was very nicely furnished and had nice dish wear in the kitchen; nothing was chintzy. What we disliked: can't think of a single thing! We hope to return next way will we stay away 27 years LOL."

"Our Family Vacation with all our children
is an absolutely beautiful location on the beach with breath taking sunsets. It was very clean & well-maintained. Everything one would need in a condo was available however in a beautiful location such as one would not want to stay inside much. We enjoyed watching the sea turtles, hunting sharks teeth, watching the sunsets, taking walks on the beach, looking for sand dollars, & taking photos of the many different flowers & plants on the island. It’s not often that we manage to get our entire family off work & available for a vacation together so this time meant a lot to us. All the adults had planned to go on a Charter Fishing Trip together so we scheduled the fishing trip 2 months in advance & on the day we were supposed to go fishing the weather was bad & it was cancelled. However the rest of our trip the weather was great & we were not offered any other times that we could be taken out to fish. This was very disappointing & the fishing trip was one of the main reasons we choose this location. I really felt that we should have been offered something in place of our fishing trip being cancelled. To have something scheduled for two months in such a beautiful location that you had been looking forward to everyday; I just felt that it was not handled very well & that we should have been offered something even if it was a sincere apology or a meal at a restaurant or something. The owner or manager provided good customer service (except for the scheduled fishing trip that we were supposed to have that was cancelled). There are many different activities, attractions that we took advantage of & enjoyed such golfing, boating, swimming, restaurants, movies,photography & walks on the beach. While we were disappointed that our scheduled Charter Fishing Trip was cancelled; everything else (especially our time with our family in this beautiful location) was great so I would still recommend this property to a friend or relative."

"13 day Beach Vacation our 15th vacation at
This washer 15th vacation at . Our 2 bedroom Villa # 1211 was a disappointment mainly because the seawall prevented coming down the stairs to the beach. Plus it had no WIFI connection. We spend all our time on the beach rarely use the pools. WE stopped at office and they immediately asked what would help. Susanne showed us three other Beach Villas and we chose# 2011. This was great. is our favorite Beach vacation. So much so we plan to bring our family of 14 to the Resort in 2018 end of January. to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. "

"Relaxing BEACH vacation
We had a very relaxing week at . The villa was perfect and the kitchen was amazingly well-equiped. So much so that we ate almost every meal in our villa. We did venture out to both restaurants and they were both excellent and reasonably priced for a resort."

It is the 12th or 13th time we have been there. Love the place. Added a new twist this year. We brought our boat. We were disappointed in the condition of the docks, lack of proper moring cleats,hoses not working (for boats)& the fact that the dock was so far from our unit. The marina on the otherhand was exceptional when handeling our boat. "

The majority of staff were friendly. One member of staff manning the cart rental had the personality of a box of rocks. We rented 5 villas and not all were updated. Kris, the girl who gave the nature tour, did an outstanding job. All of our grandkids were impressed."

"Favorite Getaway
We have been coming here for many years, several times a year. Sometimes there are just 2 of us and sometimes all 13 of us. We find it very relaxing and everyone is friendly. The only thing I would like to see are more packages that include the golf cart and without the restaurant."

"Exceptional Vacation!
My niece got married on Palm Island and it was truly beautiful! The storm had damaged some of the island but the crew had it cleaned up and drained as much as they could to make this a terrific place for a sunset wedding. Our accomodations were beautiful overlooking the ocean. We are definitely considering a longer stay on a vacation in 2013. Thank you all for the great work, cleanliness, and peaceful time!"

This was my 2nd stay at Palm Island and this time I came with my brother and sister. We had a wonderful time and would go back again. The only complaint I had was there were a lot of ants in the unit. I did not have that experience the first time so hopefully it was just a fluke. "

Going back to the early 1990s, We have stayed at Palm Island several times and have never been disappointed. THe condos are alway superb and well keep. THe store and Rum Bay are alway helpful and good food. In the early years, when our sons were younger, the childrens program was great. They still talk about the turtles and Fla. panther. We still laugh about the July 4th party where I and my younger son did the conga line and limbo dance. I highly recommend Palm Island for it quality, location,safety, and experience. It is one vaction spot to go and do nothing."

We have found a particular unit that we love to stay in (no, I'm not sharing) that has been beautifully remodeled; we have found that some of the units are badly in need of upgrades; however, they are all clean. Palm Island has many special memories for us!"
